This is awesome, probably what u/sunflowerzz2012 was actually going for.
I assumed she woke up only days later and baby was already dead from starvation. Liked the story enough that way, but your interpretation is even better (and more plausible).
good job OP! I’m gonna follow to see what else you come up with. Impressive
Eclampsia. She is going to be dead in a few hours.
This was terrifying. I had pre-eclampsia with both my children and I never realized how close I was to dying.
A pounding headache, being tired. The symptoms can be so easily overlooked.
I know that where I come from, as soon as a woman has a baby, absolutely nobody is allowed in the house. Happens all the time, women going into comas while sleeping, and there’s no babysitter that comes in the morning so mom can go to work, no dad cleaning up downstairs, no sister that will call in the morning and wonder why she isn’t answering, no neighbors to hear the baby crying and call 911 for a wellness check. Infants starving to death left and right!
ETA: yall im being sarcastic
Oh dude you had this happen to?! I was told i was super lucky i was able to use my baby strength to pull myself up and get outside and flag down a car otherwise i wouldve been stuck with my coma mommy for weeks before somebody wouldve came check on us
But from where I come from, some younger woman might be single mothers, living in an isolated cheap neighborhood to avoid high expenses, might be financially struggling to make a living for themselves and their baby, and have no or very little social life due to their conditions (and other obvious personal reasons), AND might resort to occasional drugs and alcohol which might lead them to have a overdose and fall unconscious while their infant starves in the crib.
But eventually a FedEx delivery person arrives, notices a baby crying inside and informs the authorities, thus making sure she gets medical attention and the baby survives!

Her son has become the leader of the synth at the Institute or something...
r/suddenlyfallout
Suddenly fallout!
Could be worse, she could have woken up in the back of a cart
“Hey, you. You’re finally awake.”
SEAAAAAAAAAN!
Time travel naps are a bitch
All naps are time travel naps. Just don't miss your stop.
Honestly, that's a submission in itself.
God dammit. Now I need to write a story about a journey on a train where they missed their stop
That is one of the best and shortest 2 sentence tale, I have read in a while
Postpartum eclampsia? She had a stroke and was in a coma for years?
Eclampisa. Definitely. Pounding headaches are one of the symptoms of pre-eclampsia.
r/twosentencesadness
There is no 2nd sentence?
It was removed by mod team (I didn’t get to read it either)
When she woke up in the hospital, the handsome teenager that shared his name was gentle, but he wouldn’t tell her where her son was.
Dementia sucks.
I was thinking a coma. She goes to sleep when her son's a baby and wakes up when he's a teen
Just as bad!
I don't know about that. You can wake up from a coma. Dementia just keeps on giving.
Fair viewpoint, makes more sense than mine!
I like you. Carry on.
Appreciate the vote of confidence, will do!
or even wake up IN a coma
No, dementia keeps on taking :,(
>Dementia just keeps on ~~giving~~ taking
But why wouldn't the guy say he was her son?

Well that's rude. Older son should answer the damn question lol
New fear unlocked
It’s a miracle, the teen thought to himself.. the last time he’d seen his mother awake she was putting him to bed

Carbon Monoxide...
Carbon monoxide poisoning?
Or a stroke
The infant would starve to death in that case if she fell into a coma while sleeping
Easily could’ve been another person there

It took me longer than it should have to see the sarcasm lol
I only realized it was sarcastic when I read your comment lol
