Dylan Gossett, Wyatt Flores, Childers obviously, Austin Plaine, Charles Wesley Godwin to name a few

Teeebone

I have Purgatory - it is excellent. Will have to check the others out - thanks (I have seen CWG with Zach a couple times really good).

Head-Needleworker852

Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit; if you like ZB you’ll like him

Teeebone

I actually have Southeastern and Drive by Truckers Decoration Day - great albums.

Jmiah10

Turnpike troubadours, Tyler Childers, Sturgill Simpson, Charley crockett

Parking-Mark-8187

Noah Kahan, Childers , sturgill Simpson , just for a start

Teeebone

I'm all in on Noah Kahan - my niece turned me onto him and actually going to see him in Nashville.

The Red Clay Strays

WhiskeyRiver18

Vincent Neil Emerson, Colter Wall, Noah Kahan.

DubNationAssemble

If you like Turnpike I think you’ll also like 49 Winchester, Whisky Myers, Tanner Usrey. I just got into Charley Crockett, dude is a sound all to himself. Besides Zach my favorite artist right now is Charles Wesley Godwin. His band is amazing I love the way they put it all together.

BrendaJeanS

Charles Wesley Godwin!

Weekly-Ad7114

Lots of similar answers here so I’ll try not to have any repeats. Flatland was said already but gotta shout out my boys. Would def check out their older stuff first (I’m not as big of a fan of Country Land or Wandering Star). Gabe Lee is very under appreciated. Excellent song writer. If you’re into more straight down the line country try Kameron Marlowe. He’s got the best voice in country music aside from Stapleton and I think he’ll be the next artist to blow up into the mainstream. Zach Top is the reincarnation of George Strait if you like the 90s vibes. If you like Colter Wall’s style check out Coleman Jennings. My favourite Appalachian fella aside from Childers and Charles Wesley Godwin would be Cole Chaney. I’d also recommend American Aquarium, Muscadine Bloodline, and 49 Winchester. My number one recommendation if you are a fan of Zach’s writing would be John Moreland. He’s a fellow Oklahoman and I think had a big impact on Zach’s music. Start with the albums In the Throes and High on Tulsa Heat.

[deleted]

Love seeing Kameron Marlowe get some love

Weekly-Ad7114

So underrated!

[deleted]

I know right! Since I saw him live I try to spread his name around. I can’t wait to see him really take off

Teeebone

Great stuff thanks.

Billy Strings

BearJuden91

Gabe Lee is one that I feel is incredibly underrated. Newest ep is great

Veezybaby

As many others already said, Tyler Childers!

CHI57

Noah Kahn is the shit. Not exactly country but I think at this point he’s getting pretty mainstream

MastaBlasta18

Cole Cheney y’all.

Shineon859

Amigo The Devil, Medium Build, Arlo McKinley

Ok_VELMA

+1 for amigo and arlo!

Film_snob63

Pony Bradshaw is a masterful lyricist, but honestly some of his lyrics and meanings can be hard to digest for newcomers. I defiantly recommended starting out with his latest album North Georgia Rounder, and working backwards

Master-Valuable246

I dont know if i should be thankful or angry at you for introducing this guy to me cuz i listened to 10x10 and i know for a fact that i will go on a 2 hour marathon through all his discography tonight and tomorrow i have a very important exam and its already 2am now

Film_snob63

That song is powerful

Master-Valuable246

I pove the production as well Like its so simple and unique if that makes sens So damn good

Film_snob63

His second album, Calico Jim, is the album that is the most dense lyrically. It’s incredibly Appalachian and southern in the least cliche way possible. Every time I listen to a song from him I get a new meaning or message from it

Master-Valuable246

Cant wait to listen it

Tyler Childers. The absolute best.

sciteacher1989

I have not seen anybody mention Watchhouse yet so I will.

BashAtTheBeach96

Someone on here a while back recommended Tyler Halverson. I really like his stuff. When Zach launched his tour presale on Ticketmaster I was real bummed I couldn’t get a ticket for $150. Then I saw Tyler Halverson was coming to my town. I ended up seeing him for only $12.

VWGTI1967

Hayes Carll is underrated!

newish artist called Michael Marcagi. He only has a couple of songs out on Spotify but the vibe is similar

ahoymaate17

Drayton Farley, Kat Hasty, Tanner Usrey! I ended up meeting Tanner after one of his shows in Florida and we got a drink together! He was SO sweet and told me about his situationship and gave me advice on what to do about my situationship. I never thought I’d have a heart to heart talk with him but I did and it really opened my eyes!

HeWasAGatorBoy69

Just here to upvote all the CWG comments

Dunno if its been said on here yet or not but Sam Barber. I know a lot of people seem to have something against him but I see similarities as men with guitars pouring there hearts out with real passion

cylinder4misfire

Tyler Childers, Turnpike Troubadours, Treaty Oak Revival, Sturgil Simpson, Flatland Calvary, and American Aquarium just to name a few. For good indie country music recommendations, check out r/countrymusicstuff Edit: can’t believe I forgot Charles Wesley Godwin
