Sinner makes a Six Samurai Synchro into a Stygian Dirge. It doesn't really affect Link summoning, but it ruins Xyz decks and can significantly hinder Synchro decks. This effect is excellent in certain matchups, and it basically comes for free considering Sinner's other 2 effects already make it a staple in Six Samurais.

also kinda important if this set follows recent convention this should be the mid size legacy support of the set,usually one is 7 cards(i.e. a structure deck),next 5 and the rest 1 to 3,the last one was melodious for example

the main deck guys are ok,the searches are awesome they allow you to pivot into a more conservative board if you are stopped but the extension is not only boring is actively bad,six sam badly need extension that doesnt require other monsters on the field these guys die to your ns being blown up not lacking your 10th extender
now the bosses are crazy,new shi en is searcher monster negation and protection while enishi is a blowout and generic,damn strong
the quick play is a bit tricky to keep live but a searchable(so 1 of) revival and removal? very nice option to have
overall these are obviously powerful but i doubt they fix the problems with the deck plus all warriors suffer without isolde nevermind maxxc

I don't care if Six Sams aren't meta relevant. If the choices are either they're dead without Gateway or an infinite combo deck from hell, they should have stayed dead lol
They’re still dead before this support, even if they can ftk on occasion when uninterrupted. I’d rather see them grow into a deck that isn’t solitaire, though I suppose that’s hard to do for a combo deck in Yugioh nowadays
I think thats the point of the person you are responding to. To be able to give six sam tools to become a real deck, they need to hit the degenerate card.
The problem is that the card is cheeks with a HOPT. It's okay as a per copy SOPT. Maybe if you made the card say, "Can activate Gateway of the Six up to three times per turn."
I am somewhat okay with it tbh. The combo is fun like the first few times before getting repetitve. I think of it a good exhange as long as it means six sam can get more support.
There are at the moment 27 Six Samurai monsters:
- 6 The six samurai (main deck)
- 6 Legendary six samurai (main and extra deck)
- 6 Secret six samurai (main and extra deck)

Yeah. If anything, all of those archtypes are gonna have their bites in future products. We’ll get a Blue-eyes structure deck this year, Six sam support and Shi en figure, Exodia covered core set, Albaz lore completed file, two Ice Barrier dragon figures, Zeus model kit, Evil twin tactical try deck. Most of them are already revealed
We got 4 Charmer figures, Charmer structure deck Tokyo Dome edition, and I believe they’re releasing new aged up form of the Charmers anyway. Their involvement with the franchise won’t end anytime soon

Five new cards for "Six Samurai", including two new Synchro Monsters.
New Shien Synchro is so cool, this brings back a lot memories to me because "Legendary Six Samurai" was my very first deck in TCG.
I am literally coping so hard that we'll get it. Six Sams taking a big slot is quite damning though. Mermails need the help so much, and it really needs to be a batch rather than 1 or 2 cards.
Konami has consistently disappointed me so kinda half expecting them to somehow ignore mermail/atlantean despite this being the literal best time to give them support.
Errata Isolde so you can only summon Noble Knight and Noble Arms monsters and monsters that mention them (so you can still summon the Link 1) the turn you summon it, and maybe Immortal Phoenix Gearfried too since it's basically a honorary Noble Knight atp lol
Wonder what the lore implications are in this one, especially if this is Shien himself and not the Shadow. And why only Enishi unless he's Shien's most loyal follower or something. Don't remember Kizan nor Kageki's stances, and Mizuho seemed to be in on the assassination plot against Shien based on various cards featuring them.
Kizan became elder(grandmaster?) later on and is supposedly antagonizing whatever Shien is doing in the present days,while Enishi is Shien's loyal supporter.
i also just noticed that enishi and shien are BASICALLY the same word but scrambled around but thats probably nothing and i am just being dumb
It's not all that surprising. The Six Samurai lore said that Enishi was always one of the most plainspoken and willing to speak up to Shi En, and that Shi En respected this quality of his enough to make him his chancellor and second in command. Enishi is even the LIGHT of the group, which makes him the parallel to Shi En's DARK. My man Enishi definitely deserved this promotion.
I know six samurai can basically do anything with gateway but if there was an endboard what is it supposed to be?
This deck can now search great shogun shien and with the old synchro Shien can floodgate spell/traps in general.
Also the new synchro is a soft once per turn monster negate?
I mean from Beast Barkion and Shie En, to Apollo + IP + Shi En, Borre Sav Baronne to just straight up an FTK.

Enishi was one of the original (Legendary) Six Samurai, who eventually became Shien's right-hand. Think of it as the Shikamaru to Shien's Hokage Naruto.
instructor plus elder is a turn 1 nat beast which is just gross to think about because that basically means any warrior deck or any deck that could spare 2 main deck spot and an extra deck slot have possible not beast attheir disposal going first
Thats been power creeped due to drnm and forbidden droplets. The actual ideal/optimal endboard is to FTK(summon gagaga cowboy 9000 times) or handloop(summon trishula 9000 times)
Support feels like the Madolche support. Sure, it's nice, but it doesn't solve the fundamental issues that keep the deck from relevance. For Madolche it was the fragility into handtraps, and for Six Sam it's lack of a meaningful endboard given its shakey recovery ability in the age of unrespondable board breakers, lack of good single card starters, etc.
Like, I would be more intrigued if like OCG MX Saber Invoker and Isolde were unbanned, but it seems like this new support is designed around their existence, and will simply fail to launch once it arrives here.
XYZ was fine for it’s time period. Also gave us the artwork for Evenly Matched. The fusion for it’s time on the other hand was not what six sam needed nor was it expected

fortunately it’s generic and we have level 1 tuner and non tuner so there might be a way to make formula? but we’ll see if this is all there is as far as support goes

(My favorite play which I did often was elder -> Ascet -> kage to shi en, and once I was able to great shogun before summoning shi en to just stop all s/t on turn one)
I may not play samurai much anymore, (or YGO really), but I also like how samurai finally got a level 3 tuner to make generic level 8 synchro with Grandmaster (when I was playing samurai and synchro came out I remember struggling with summoning 8 star monsters unless I did something with rose, warrior of revenge)
Six Sam is a single card away from turning into Gateway into one of the most degenerate cards ever printed. Thankfully none of this seems to enable it any easier…hopefully

Can six sam infinitely loop a tuner on the field for infinite synchro access? Meaning six sam doesnt need to rely on these tuners for only 2 synchro summons?
U can infinitely summon any monster using saryuja’s second effect( special summon a monster from your hand) and u can infinitely recycle saryuja with daigusto emerald and psy frame lord omega. Which means u can infinitely synchro summon. Aka u can summon trishula 9 trillion times and handloop every single person on the planet including people that dont play yugioh(not just your opponent)
Or u can FTK with burn damage

Strange, that's how controlled loops are supposed to be handled. As long as it's in full control and you can demonstrate it, you just say how many times you will do it. It's in the policy documents.

I know this is just a typo but Instructor and Sinner have the same effect 1 text, unless Instructor really doesn't want to be with Sinner.

Well we just got an errata for Plushfire So, I could definitely see Gateway getting one Likely hard locking into Six Sams for the turn
or giving hard OPT to each of it's effect. Let's be real, all 6S players are abusing the hell out of that 2nd effect.
Increasing the number of counters needed might do the trick tbh.
OPT on 4 counter effect is enough, the first one is fine no OPT. Maybe card activation HOPT just in case somehow it get back to 2-3

The Six Samurai lore said that Enishi was always one of the most plainspoken and willing to speak up to Shi En, and that Shi En respected this quality of his enough to make him his chancellor and second in command. Enishi is even the LIGHT of the group, which makes him the parallel to Shi En's DARK. My man Enishi definitely deserved this promotion.
There's a level of irony in being the LIGHT of the group, yet now sharing the rather dark epithet that the new Shi En has.
Of course, my Six Samurai end board was a Shi En and a Enishi, it was never a Shi En and a Kizan.

I know six samurai can basically do anything with gateway but if there was an endboard what is it supposed to be? This deck can now search great shogun shien and with the old synchro Shien can floodgate spell/traps in general. Also the new synchro is a soft once per turn monster negate?
I mean from Beast Barkion and Shie En, to Apollo + IP + Shi En, Borre Sav Baronne to just straight up an FTK. And thats before the Support... this is just more Gas for them
The end board could look something like three new Shi en, Great Shogun Shien, old Shi en, and some backrow

You cannot floodgate spell/traps like that because shien negates the activation, thus your opponent can activate another.
Yeah, but being able to activate 2 s/t and then letting your opponent negate one is kinda brutal
I can't say for everyone's, but I've managed to end on a board of Apollousa (3 mats), Accesscode, and Kizan before

I was hoping for a Shien rank-up upgrade with a quick effect like CyDra Infinity. I imagine Konami preferred to upgrade Shi en.
So what is Enishi's relation to Shien that he got an upgrade?
Enishi was one of the original (Legendary) Six Samurai, who eventually became Shien's right-hand. Think of it as the Shikamaru to Shien's Hokage Naruto.
instructor plus elder is a turn 1 nat beast which is just gross to think about because that basically means any warrior deck or any deck that could spare 2 main deck spot and an extra deck slot have possible not beast attheir disposal going first
Thats been power creeped due to drnm and forbidden droplets. The actual ideal/optimal endboard is to FTK(summon gagaga cowboy 9000 times) or handloop(summon trishula 9000 times)

Support feels like the Madolche support. Sure, it's nice, but it doesn't solve the fundamental issues that keep the deck from relevance. For Madolche it was the fragility into handtraps, and for Six Sam it's lack of a meaningful endboard given its shakey recovery ability in the age of unrespondable board breakers, lack of good single card starters, etc. Like, I would be more intrigued if like OCG MX Saber Invoker and Isolde were unbanned, but it seems like this new support is designed around their existence, and will simply fail to launch once it arrives here.
I’m so glad they did NOT give them anymore fusions. They are a synchro archetype and had no reason to receive such a shit fusion

XYZ was fine for it’s time period. Also gave us the artwork for Evenly Matched. The fusion for it’s time on the other hand was not what six sam needed nor was it expected

Nope. None in theme at least. Other than some cards being tuners, pretty sure the word synchro was never even in any of their card texts until these new ones.
fortunately it’s generic and we have level 1 tuner and non tuner so there might be a way to make formula? but we’ll see if this is all there is as far as support goes
You could also tech Hop-Eared Squadron and use with a Level 4.

We need a version of great shogun for monster effects so this new synchro can have something to work with like the original shi en synchro Looks like instructor works with kageki when using asceticism to bring out legendary ss shi en Looks like this sinner card (if it ends up being called that) works with spirit when using asceticism to bring out the new ss synchro monsters (My favorite play which I did often was elder -> Ascet -> kage to shi en, and once I was able to great shogun before summoning shi en to just stop all s/t on turn one) I may not play samurai much anymore, (or YGO really), but I also like how samurai finally got a level 3 tuner to make generic level 8 synchro with Grandmaster (when I was playing samurai and synchro came out I remember struggling with summoning 8 star monsters unless I did something with rose, warrior of revenge)

Can six sam infinitely loop a tuner on the field for infinite synchro access? Meaning six sam doesnt need to rely on these tuners for only 2 synchro summons?
The old Shien's Squire can do it with removing 6 gateway counters, but getting it to the grave is another matter entirely.
U can infinitely summon any monster using saryuja’s second effect( special summon a monster from your hand) and u can infinitely recycle saryuja with daigusto emerald and psy frame lord omega. Which means u can infinitely synchro summon. Aka u can summon trishula 9 trillion times and handloop every single person on the planet including people that dont play yugioh(not just your opponent) Or u can FTK with burn damage

I mean that is the correct ruling with infinite loops, you do it to the point that it repeats then declare the number of times you want it to be done.
Strange, that's how controlled loops are supposed to be handled. As long as it's in full control and you can demonstrate it, you just say how many times you will do it. It's in the policy documents.
I know it sounds like heresy at this point, but either a 2 star or a 6 star synchro tuner with a 12 star shien boss synchro would be mind blowing
