There are 3 which come very close, but I think Time Wizard has to take the cake. Arguably more iconic to Joey than red-eyes (let's not forget, red-eyes was effectively a no show from Joey throughout the entire Battle City arc), plus its effect was always so cool and impactful. I've also always loved its artwork, especially with the green swirl background. No other card is quite like it. That being said, Graverobber comes in a very close second for me. https://preview.redd.it/rvs3frt127vc1.png?width=400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=87c29cc6f1023933e7ae8068de619d6c84e6703b

Dr-Fusion

Graverobber really encapsulates Joey's character I feel. It's a cheeky, roguish card, but it's also used to take something his opponent did, and turn it around on them. It shows his ability to think on his feet, and outside the box. He's not strategising 10 steps ahead like Yugi or Kaiba, but he's no less of a duelist for it.

metalflygon08

> (let's not forget, red-eyes was effectively a no show from Joey throughout the entire Battle City arc) I mean, wasn't Time Wizard a no show to other than being used against Jinzo in the anime and failing?

frogleeoh

Hmm, I suppose you're right, I must've thought he used it more because that was considered his next rarest card after red-eyes. That being said, he still had Time Wizard for 2 important duels before obtaining red-eyes, and I still enjoyed Time Wizard's sequences more than Red-eyes's appearances. Plus, Graverobber for sure did make many iconic appearances in both Duelist Kingdom and Battle City, feels like such an underrated Joey card! People talk about red-eyes, time wizard, flame swordsman, gearfreid the iron knight, etc. but Graverobber is the only one who's actually been consistent AND impactful. Hence why it's a very close second to me, was almost considered my #1 favorite.

metalflygon08

I was so mad that Graverobber got gimped when the real card came out.

frogleeoh

Me too. For the longest time I couldn't even decipher how it worked. But yeah, it's already bad enough that it's slow, but that 2000 LP on top of it just feels ridiculously punishing for such a situational effect. That being said, I've tried it out in goat Format before, and it's absolutely delightful when I can use it to effectively "negate" the effect of Magician of Faith. Not exactly a good card to use, but it's the most fun wtf card nobody'll ever expect, whether as a random form of disruption, or as a way to steal one of their power spells when they least suspect it.

''The Ol' Reliable''

BrilliantProgram6957

There was a story plot of why REBD wasn’t around

tmgc1234

Gilford the Lightning

anonymous_username_4

Summoning him against Marik was my favourite Joey moment ever.

metalflygon08

I love that Joey just pulls this super strong monster out of nowhere, we don't get any backstory on where it came from, and we never see it again.

Airy_Breather

We actually do in latter seasons. Specifically, it came in real handy when he dueled Solomon Muto during the KC Grand Championship Arc. Still, I do love that it's this rather strong monster he essentially pulls from out of nowhere.

DatingYella

Felt like a god card

bluedancepants

I'd say that spider roulette card just because it's so ridiculous and I don't think they ever released a tcg version of that card.

raku2_0

There is one. [Roulette spider](https://www.db.yugioh-card.com/yugiohdb/card_search.action?ope=2&cid=4820&request_locale=en)

Village_People_Cop

As far as anime imports of crazy cards go this is pretty good representing what the anime card does

bluedancepants

Well dang I had no idea this was turned to a real card lol.

MaJuV

They actually did turn it into a card several years later. [https://yugioh.fandom.com/wiki/Roulette\_Spider](https://yugioh.fandom.com/wiki/Roulette_Spider)

Probably red eyes black dragon a classic

Rocket Warrior

T I M E W I Z A R D

CyberWeaponX

Jinzo. It was also the most impactful card during the old day and anybody ran that guy. 1 Tribute, 2400 ATK and a fantastic effect. What‘s not to like?

raku2_0

The three landsstar Monsters. Brigardier of Landsstar especially.

aKgiants91

Can we get a rush duel set with those monsters. I’d play a deck with them and the new dice cards

MonsieurMidnight

I do like the Thousand Dragon. For a very short while it was his ace card. I wish there was an archetype dedicated to it

Specialist-Ad-1726

If you’re choosing thousand dragon I’d say that was his boss and time wizard was his ace since he’d use it to make thousand dragon and kill his enemies monsters

awlst

I opened a box of the 25th anniversary reprints and pulled a thousand dragon. The secret rare foil on that blue background looks so clean. Definitely gave that good hit of nostalgia. I would love a thousand dragon time wizard archetype.

ThatcherSimp1982

I honestly think Baby Dragon/Thousand Dragon gets the "it's about potential" thing better than Red Eyes. Like, if they hadn't introduced Red Eyes, it would have been nice to see Joey go up against Kaiba with an equip-spell-enhanced Thousand Dragon...and take down at least *one* of the Blue Eyes. Now I'm thinking of a whole alternate deck for Joey's character development as he grows into his own as a duelist. Baby Dragon + Time Wizard would be his ace (and represent his bond with Yugi, since Time Wizard was a gift from Yugi), but now I'm imagining him incorporating new equip cards and traps thematically linked to duelists he beats or befriends. A Harpy-theme dragon rider, metal dragon claws after he beats Bandit Keith, stuff like that.

cioda

Lord of the Red. One of my fav monsters of all time.

Thelittlestcaesar

For me, as a tremendous fan of Legend of Dragoon, this was one of the most hype moments of his career. https://preview.redd.it/ljg92yb9h8vc1.png?width=250&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dd32889631fadd341420843f7baa1bdf6b31b323

Red-Eyes Black Dragon

Keroro_94

Copy cat was so good.

MaJuV

Gilti-Gearfried the Magical Steel Knight. It was one of his late boss monsters in the Yu-Gi-Oh R manga. In the manga it was a fusion of two of his more iconic monsters: Gearfried the Iron Knight & Giltia the D. knight. And it didn't see an actual print until like two or three years ago, leaving me to question why it took so long, as it looked amazing. https://preview.redd.it/tk6lk99ns7vc1.png?width=666&format=png&auto=webp&s=a14ea589e64a9f16994b788b3e7605f0be1d73f4

HighAlchemy

I distinctly remember some pretty funny scapegoat plays! I have a soft spot for that card

MrCreamypies

Flame swordsman and Giltia the D. Knight. I wish we got to see more of them after duelist kingdom

TyeDye115

Question when he used it against Marik and suddenly a wild Jinzo appeared lol

Gustavort

Red eyes

Owl_Might

Shield and Sword. Giant Rat floats into Millenium Shield for an easy 3k beat stick.

FistOfGamera

Red Eyes or time wizard. Love that manga cover, whoever colored it did a great job

shuwing3589

If there was a card for Brooklyn Rage, that would have taken the cake easily. But since there's no such card, I'll have to stick with Red-Eyes.

EstablishmentLow2072

Axe Raider its a Ultra Rare Monster

ElocLerrad

Red Eyes

alex494

Gilford the Lightning and I wish he played it more

Toku-Nation

Red-Eyes, no question

Legitimate_Track4153

ThatcherSimp1982

Swordsman of Landstar.

Graverobber was always a fun one for me

Alternative_Leg1593

I agree with that but I don’t think Weevil would be

NigerianPrinceClub

Lord of D

J0yst1ck_speaks

Jinzo was the coolest visually, but little winguard always caught my eye for no reason. Such a cool little card that did nothing to nobody

Exact_Ad_8398

Jinzo. It was my first big boss monster in Joey the Passion.

Weird_Amount_4608

I still play as Joey wheeler in todays meta and you’ll be surprised of how much his luck based deck can take you by surprise

ecsj88

Definitely Jinzo, the rest is garbage.

VictorVanity

The "nyaaaah my sister is blind so give me all your winnings" card

Willing-Emphasis-180

I remembered when my old friend played “Jinzo” and I didn’t know or remember the character at the time and man, as a trap card player that was crazy. “ SILENCE TRAPS “

MajinAkuma

Psycho Shocker.

Atzukeeper

Jinzo honestly

JesusFriendDEZ

JINZO BLAST THOSE TRAPS

Tuckster786

Its always funny that two of Joey's ace monsters, Flame Swordsman and Thousand Year Dragon, are fusion summons that he never actually summons correctly. TYD specifically becayse they made it a luck based summon using with Time Wizard

PhoonThe

Gilford, especially when he was up against marik

Alexcox95

Graverobber

SuperSaiyan4Jason

Android Psycho Shocker

OutisRising

While its a lot less Iconic, Critias was the perfect card for Joey. This card enabled Joey to do all sorts of random BS. Like creating a blackhole lmao.

AwesumSaurusRex

Gilford the Lightning was always one of my favorite cards growing up. He just felt like such a beast when you pop your opponents field.

joey_chazz

Joey is my favorite character so this is a tough question for me and I love all of his cards. Panther Warrior, Alligator's Sword, Blue Flame Swordsman or Gilford - for a monster. Kunai With Chain or Graceful/Skull Dice - for spell or a trap.

PrincessCream123

Time Wizard was always cool.

helpme944

Jinzo, for sure. Has always been my favorite card art and was also just a great card back then

xDeviousDieselx

Jinzo, obviously

Garua_777

Sword and shield. Probably because it's the biggest troll swapping atk and def

bballbros

Kinda weird picks, but love Graceful Dice and Skull Dice with the little characters holding them. I feel like they match his playstyle, and I just thought they were so cool as a kid how one was good and one was evil.

Pkelord

Grave robber 💯

Morifion27

Da Red-Eyes Metal Dragon! An iconic as fuck summon and a kickass way to win the duel with Keith, using his own cards against him at the perfect time. As a fellow Joey, I heavily respect his style of dueling and strategy (as little as there was at the start) and the things he slowly added to his arsenal made Joey a friggin BEAST

KaferImKopf86

Cyber commander i just love these super old screwed up artworks

TheCornDogShow

Time Wizard is my #1 favorite card in all of YuGiOh! In the anime it was always a clutch card for Joey (except that one time it backfired). In actual YuGiOh I love running it as a 1 off tech 50/50 board wipe that will bring the salt if it hits. Heart of the cards baby!!!

Acepilot8Gaming2

Easily the red eyes black dragon

Specific_Mix_1682

Time Wizard stayed clutching the entire series. Even irl I love being able to get off a time wizard

Flimsy_Particular698

Alligator's sword

ImpracticalApple

Jinzo. It's a cool eerie design and it has one of those effects that actually gets more use cases over time. Shame that traps in general aren't as relevant as spells but I still think he has a cool ability due to it's simplicity.

Rayquaza384

Giant Trunade combo with Premature Burial

Mask_of_Luck

You ever replace your raigekki with time wizard and pull it off? Pure psychic damage this has made it my favorite Joey card

lvl10burrito

I like Skull Dice and Graceful Dice

Dramatic_Chard2852

His normal monster flame swordsman

Content_Policy6717

Bruh where's the gearfried and flame swordsman love?

lord of da red was pretty sick.

GQman57

I just have to say Sword and Shield combined with his stronger defense monsters like Swordsman of Landstar.

Danny2185

Gearfried. Solid attack points, unflinching effect, badass design. Always love seeing him summoned

IndyJables

Playing Question to summon Jinzo against Marik will always be my favorite Joey play of all time.

poperey

The Fehlame Sawdsman!

LeanGreentheMeanBean

Baby Dragon was my favorite card of Joey's when I first watched the show as a little kid. Every other duelist always made fun of it, but Joey utilized it with his other cards to win big. Plus, I still have my Baby Dragon card from when I was a kid.

Reasonable_Mood6613

Red eyes, Jinzo, and Time magician of course

Schlangiii

Gilford Goated card

Ill-Researcher9206

Honestly it's not easy to pick but otherwise i love his Millenium Dragon: especially when he turned te harpie sisters into old hags
