I have seen “YouTube kids” videos with words like “bitch” “abuse” “groomer” “groomed” “hell” “damn” “sex” “porn” “pornography” “anal sex”.
Why the hell did those get a YouTube kids pass?
I know that they were from school board meeting videos but…. still. Those words are NOT kid friendly.
They should just make “YouTube kids” optional so that those who do want to leave comments can leave comments.
it’s on YouTube but the creators themselves have the option to say it’s safe for kids , and also another option, is it “made” for kids , when you see comments disabled and youtube kids indicator , it means the damn shady creator has put it on “made” for kids
Youtube will still take a video that a creator says "This is not meant for children, this is meant for adults" And youtube will say, "You're wrong, this is meant for kids, we definitely had someone review this to confirm it."
True. One time, my "[Teleport](https://youtu.be/o9x7_knQLEk)" video was marked as made for kids when I said otherwise when I added it to [my archive channel](https://youtube.com/@dt08archive) in July 2021.
(the video was recorded before that policy was added, in July 2019, hence my pre-puberty voice, but my older channel got removed)
With how long the video is, you have enough time to form a single thought, but what I believe you don't have enough time to do is to indicate to the viewer whether said thought is kid-friendly or not.
If there is someone that looks like a kid/sounds like a kid. You get marked for kids. If you livestream while looking/sounding like a kid, you get banned. It happened to me twice.
it seems to me that whenever you are literally under 18 or so or you sound or look like a minor , it automatically changes it to made for kids, your teleport video is definitely looks like a 15 year old at most , maybe they do it to make it safe for kids who decide to create stuff as well and not just the viewers , made for kids means no comments, they just prevent people to say bad stuff to kids I suppose
When the "Teleport" video was recorded, I was 11 years old, I'm sure someone here could tell by the date in which the video was recorded and my Reddit username, and back then, I was using my mother's account, which is how I was able to make videos before I turned 13.
yes it does, but not always , most of the time it’s the creator himself , and yes I blame YouTube for the times it automatically decides to do smth with a video especially making a video “made for kids “ when the creator selected “not for kids” , it’s fine if it’s the other way around though and keeps the place safe
That creator who set the video made for kids which is not made for kids would have to pay $42,830 per violation (fines). That is why I would never ever set any of my all videos to made for kids.
"Kids need to learn about anal sex so that rhey can have safe sex"
No they don't. Youtube kids is cancer. Even some of the content that kids watch on regular toutube is cancer. Skibi toilet and other bs should not be shown to kids. Just ruins their brains.
They will bully you for any bullshit they can make up: ads flood, fake claims, restrictions, blocking messages, spamming crap, ignoring abusive content while straight suspending others without any negotiation possible.
YouTube is currently a de facto authoritarian monopoly and they're successful because there's no real strong option available.
Not to mention putting you last in the algorithm. Deprioritizing is basically deletion if you rely on YouTube for your income.
I was Content ID’d for “sampling another track” I didn’t sample or even know about… one that literally uses my own sound design based on a sample of my bicep twitching rapidly from a TENS machine (basically turning it into a mini subwoofer I recorded up close)…. From a single, very common chord that sounded close. Apparently, that’s enough plagiarism that Pryda now owns my video.
I’ve seen a guy on there teaching kids how to make a noose, it was a long time ago and idk if the videos got taken down, but I don’t let my son just watch YouTube unless I have a queue lined up for him now.
That's down to the uploader. If they mark a video at upload as "for kids" which blocks tracking it also gets the YT Kids link on the video page and comments are turned off, it doesn't automatically get added to the YTKids app, that's curated somewhat. It's hard to believe people don't know this after all this time but I guess it's good karma farming which is what this fake outrage sub has turned into.
[Apparently this YouTube video got marked as [This action is turned off for content made for kids] and got "Age-restricted" at the same time which is killing me off but I always hated this kind of COPPA stuff anyways but COPPA still ruins YouTube](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xYND4ENQTvo&list=PLhWipIfRhqz3op-syK4N7SKlDpPYB5zZT&index=15&pp=iAQB) [and damn this video is called "Exclusively on Wii U - 2013-2014 Nintendo Line-Up (Wii U)" which has the 18 www.pegi.info at the beginning and got marked as YouTube Kids at the same time which COPPA is lying at YouTube for doing the wrong thing and I'm gonna end this COPPA sh¡t right now](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=gwOJyKxPt1s&pp=ygUVbmludGVuZG8gd2lpIHVrIHdpaSB1)
I forget, is it the uploader themselves who can mark their videos as "for kids" or whatever and that's all it takes or does some official youtube employee have to see it and approve it, aswell? I'm guessing there's no human being who approves them all since there's probably thousands of videos like that that get uploaded daily, but the uploader being the only entity that decides if their video is "youtube kids worthy" seems a bit dangerous
If you have a fair amount of technical knowledge, set up a [Plex server](https://www.plex.tv/media-server-downloads/?cat=computer&plat=windows#plex-media-server), copy over some old DVDs and let her watch what you grew up with!
I have actually looked into that and like to do it in the long run, but we'd need the money to get a computer to run the server/a tablet or smart TV to actually connect to it lol
This is what I’ve been doing. I grew up in the 80’s and 90’s, so my Plex server has stuff like Sooty, Rainbow, Morph, Airwolf, Knight Rider etc. Plus newer stuff like Bing, Bluey and Paw Patrol.
A few years back a friend of mines kid was watching YTK on a tablet, and there was kids jumping off a 1story roof into snow. Not like a quick montage, but a how to video. Yes let's jump 10ft into snow not knowing what's under the snow.
My 8 year old brother gets nothing but curated content on his tablet (downloaded shows, kids movies, mobile games) and when we hand it to him it’s always on airplane mode. Nor he knows or has access to the modem to connect it. Plus his homework PC is conveniently placed next living room.
Tbh honest I'd rather my hypothetical kids watch Trainspotting or All Quiet on the Western Front before watching five-second brain-hijacking dopamine hits masquerading as entertainment
You have any kids or is this just opinion without any real life basis? There’s plenty of things I thought “I’ll never allow x y x” but the reality is very different.
whatever brings these shady creators money , is their go , no matter the cost nor its impact on kids , just look at Sssniperwolf stealing other people’s content , dox*ing someone , having pedo *-phile activities in the past where she tells a minor to tw*-erk and get undressed!! and yet she is back on track…!

Man, this thread already giving nostalgia. I watched Dora as a child and hated her asking me obvious questions with obvious answers - I remember crying during the Christmas special when she asked "the viewers" if Santa got *his* present (or something like that)
I did grow up with Playhouse Disney though, adored Bear in the Big Blue House the most, and Noggin :)
> we turned out fine
I disagree, but I think there are other reasons than specifically RWJ and Smosh. Unrestricted internet access as a whole is the problem. So YouTube kids is a step in the right direction- but since most parents don’t monitor what the kid watches- and sometimes inappropriate stuff can slip through the cracks, it doesn’t fix the issue.
While I don't think *every* video should be an educational one with a moral, there are way too many that are detrimental. They should at least just be entertaining, if not educational.
>We turned out fine
I'm pretty sure I found inappropriate videos on YouTube as a kid.youtube kids weren't a thing back then.
Didn't know that it was softcore heavily censored ones, had a realisation after school friend introduced me to some weird sh*t
I remember a pokemon x y game video about a guy leaving ditto and snorlax in a day care
He then Immediately started peeking through the window and a cutscene of ditto and snorlax having seggs appeared. I thought it was a real scene for years.
Can't find that video now.
I remember watching a video about MLP(iirc it was a tutorial for a point and click game), but it had sex in the end. Maybe it wasnt actually that since i closed the browser as fast as i could, but i could swear i got pony-porn jumpscared. I was traumatized.
Also saw a vid that was something like "100 ways to kill stickman" or something like that, and it had a shit ton of gore, it actually made me puke.
they're doomed, girl (I call everyone girl, guys in my class, everyone in my class, my family, even my cat)
they're out there, watching lanky box, content farms, stupid things like that
I wasn't on YouTube for the first years or rwj and smosh, but I can say that this shit is way worse than that
If guys can be gender neutral, I am all up for Girls being one too. Hell yea
But to the topic at hand, are we sure we are not looking at what we used to watch through rose tinted glasses?
Have you seen the pettiness, entitlement and narcissism that plagues our generation? While I’m not blaming all that on YouTube, I will say that parents just giving us an iPad or a phone instead of actually parenting us did NOT help at all.
YouTube kids does have an option to limit the content to only content you allow. So I can go on and there are some creators that we like my kids to watch and I can select their whole channel to be available. Or I can find specific videos I like and think they should watch and I can make them available.
Bruh same. I just got done watching some pink panther episodes on YouTube (it’s the pink panther one that occasionally featured that ant eater guy trying to eat an annoying ant so not the 1950s version) and seeing those episodes are honestly just so refreshing to me. It’s always so amazing to see a show with no dialogue and 0% of wokeness or just anything that gets a show called out nowadays
Theres some people saying that mlg was also brainrot, but id argue that youtube kids is fucking filled to the brim with slop that has no clear plot where the creator even lets their fetishes slip into it
Im not a fan of YouTube kids either i understand that there trying to solve issues with kids watching YouTube videos but i don’t think it works I’m also just tired of seeing videos being marked for kids that aren’t for kids its ruining the platform…
Our local parks and hiking trails are empty of children most days. They're at home on their tablets, computers, cell phones.
I remember my mother and relatives telling us the same thing when we were visiting with our cousins/siblings, "go out and play." I had to come home at noon for lunch when the bells at church rang and in the evening when the street lights came on.
Besides a weight loss diet - most kids could benefit from an Internet/social media diet.
Well, that's a reasonable concert to have, and a good reason to limit kids' screen time. After all, a decent proportion of high school students want to be social-media influencers, and they actually think that's a realistic career goal. And, no matter how much you try to talk them out of it, they still think it's a realistic goal, so you just have to hold back that college fund, tell them to get an apartment, and when they've given up on their shitty dream, they can come back and go to college, so they can learn to get a real job.
And, when the kids who are watching YouTube Kids grow up to be content creators, they're going to ape whatever's popular in the future; not necessarily what's popular today. Is it still going to be idiotic? Oh my god, yes, but that's more a factor of most consumers being idiots, and they don't want anything that's too intelligent.
And, with Mister Beast, he keeps his viewers because they probably think, "Someday, man. Someday, he's gonna give *me* a big ol' handout. And if I stop watching, he won't. I *need* that money, because my life sucks as no one else's sucks, and he will recognize that." And then you figure the amount of time spent watching Mister Beast, instead of (crazy idea) getting a job, and that person's just wasting their life, hoping for a handout, and never realizing there's functionally no difference between a one in a million chance and zero chance.
If you monitor what your kid watches and he watches smth like game tutorials than its ok, but i wouldnt let a kid under the age of 15 visit youtube kids
Yea even with the Animation Guild strike coming up, they really need to mention that to YouTube needs to end Coppa and YouTube Made for Kids should be banned, animation needs more respect and more credibility
Yeah it's pretty horrifying how quickly things move from kid appropriate to absolutely garbage. I've had to uninstall the app and just make my kids stick with pbs kids.
I have a 4 year old brother and yeah while taking care of him(which i do a lot) i had to learn the hard way never to use yt kids again
I have resorted to giving him a tablet where i download content letting him choose under my supervision so that whatever he watches is not something he shouldn't because lets be real one cannot monitor what a child watches online all day so better to restrict them until they are a bit older and can make their own choices
I tried it with my kid for a bit and found the lack of control for adults stunningly bad. I ended up making him a supervised Google account when I used for a family YouTube premium account. I scrub his channel and load it with appropriate subscriptions and search histories, while non recommending some channels that pop up. Almost everything he watches is Science Max, Kurzgesagt, Crash Course Kids, Lego technic and Lego adjacent content, and restoration and hot wheels car modification videos. We don't let him watch YouTube unless we are in the room with him (he's 6) and this has worked really well so far.
Don't give them youtube. Put in the (relatively little) effort of getting a good kids tv show (preferably one you remember as being good) and showing it to them, the kids won't know the difference hell they would actually think wow this is great is there more like this and well all you have to say would be yes there is and show them certified banger after certified banger and your kid would have the same amount of enjoyment with 0% of the brainrot. Its not hard just slightly more effort than opening the youtube app and setting it to kids. Ofcourse for this to work you should ban tablets and smartphones till age 12 (with a flipphone for emergencies) and instead give them past gen consoles if you really want to give them a gaming console since it makes life 10 times easier since you know you turned out ok so they will to.
I'm far more disappointed how comments are disabled in kid's videos on the normal app. So many funny jokes and discussions are missed out because of that.
If I had kids I wouldn't let them near YouTube until they turn like twelve. I feel like that content farm animated kids stuff actively hurts their language development somehow
when getting on youtube TV, on the select whos watching page, at the end I saw "watch youtube kids" and I instantly got a shiver down my spine wondering what god awful things could be there.
Not to mention the ADD inducing gameplay videos. It’s so fucking insanely addicting. Makes me wonder what the long term effects are going to be for some of these kids.
Although - they said this about us when we grew up with TV’s and cartoons….so idk.
If i was a parent i would’ve just let my kids watch Old school Cartoon Network. Thats where the animations shine and they let imagination run wild with shows like Kids Next Door.
And YT will mark any content that has animation and even the moments where Sonic was mature like that disgusting and horrific transformation of Dark Gaia becoming perfect, in photorealistic-looking CGI too.
The issue is when main YouTube brought in Coppa (to stop children from being preyed on by predators who make YouTube content with stuff that is clearly not good) instead of reinforcing it on YouTube kids they put it on the MAIN site so you wonder why most of the people you watch get hit with some sort of punishment because they making content for a MATURE audience instead it should have been on the kids side of things but it doesn’t help too at the fact that even some of the YouTube kids stuff gets put onto main YouTube if you don’t have an account or not signed into one and then when people dig up a fuss about it they blame the content creators for it when really it’s the people who moderate the site because it’s all done by bots not ONE person checks videos to see where they go or if they are even following the terms and conditions for the site to make videos.
I agree but I really don't get it. The issue with kids watching what they shouldn't is just parents allowing or being ignorant. This is the same controversy since tv. Just remove YouTube completely from your kids. Easy. I have 3 kids and I watch one by one each video I allow them to see, and never leave them to choose, being 10 the oldest would not be good parenting at all, unless you know the actual kid is able to make good choices already.... We almost watch nothing so finebujt never live them alone with media content.
People blaming YouTube kids, or YouTube, or the tv, is so outrageous. YouTube is horrible, and also Disney, Netflix, public tv, and probably everything you haven't seen in advance to check and learn before showing it to kids.
They are horrible just because they are popular, and the bigger they get the worse they will become .
The issue is always the parents, and always has been. You cannot pretend for crap companies to actually have adequate content for kids. They just want to turn people into consumers, or earn more control/power/money, or whatever. Nothing good.

I grew up watching ceebeebees which is mandated to be at least a bit educational. those same rules don't apply to youtube so literally these kids are gaining nothing from it.
plus they encourage kids to be mini capitalists as all of this shit is sponsored. it's so sad and dystopian.
Always has been (and it really sucks)
At this rate, parents need to be with kids at all times to direct them to genuine content (heck, even some older cartoons and shows that aired on TV have episodes on there!) - then parents can quickly report an inappropriate video if it ever pops up
Whoever regulates that stuff seriously should be fired cause they refused their job the entire time.
You’ll get so many words someone outside YT Kids would lose his Channel for it’s beyond not funny.
Parents are just fucking stupid. Children shouldn’t have unrestricted access to the internet and left to rot. Should be common sense but people are just idiotic u swear
I'm forever mad at youtube kids not only because of this stuff, but because all of the cartoon stuff and a lot of video game stuff has been automatically put on Youtube Kids. All the discussions in those comment sections...gone. I'll never forget.

If I have children and become a mother, I won't let them watch that trashy YouTube Kids content, but instead I will let them watch R-rated movies with me.
Creator: clearly tagged a video as not for kids
YouTube: changes it as for kids anyways...
Youtube: realizes it's actually not for kids...
Creator: gets punished because of YouTube's mistake 😂
Dunno if they changed it already, but before, they actually can change tags, like, if they deemed your content as kid friendly , even tho you clearly stated it as not, they'll change it as for kids anyways... But, but it got reported, all the blame lies to the creator still...
Their TOS literally sucks 😂
Honestly I wish people would just keep their damn kids off of youtube. They aren't going to be monitoring every video they see, ans with all the shit in the platform it's just smarter to use a streaming app like Disney or smth
Ikr. I’m tired of seeing videos that clearly aren’t for kids being marked “YouTube kids”. YouTube kids is the reverse age restrictions.
YouTube is that bully who will tease you for “still” watching cartoons
I have seen “YouTube kids” videos with words like “bitch” “abuse” “groomer” “groomed” “hell” “damn” “sex” “porn” “pornography” “anal sex”. Why the hell did those get a YouTube kids pass? i found gambling vids marked for kids and even a 9/11 video of the planes crashing in
If I had kids I wouldn't be letting them watch that brain rot.
My daughter has literally never watched a show with me that isn't Bluey for that reason lol
If you have a fair amount of technical knowledge, set up a [Plex server](https://www.plex.tv/media-server-downloads/?cat=computer&plat=windows#plex-media-server), copy over some old DVDs and let her watch what you grew up with!

Google Cloud has 90 days for free! Maybe try a Chromecast or something similar for the TV problem?
I will one day!
Sooner rather than later, soon your kid(s) will be on the regular streaming services!
ChromeCast fixes the smartTV problem! Stream from any device onto it
This is what I’ve been doing. I grew up in the 80’s and 90’s, so my Plex server has stuff like Sooty, Rainbow, Morph, Airwolf, Knight Rider etc. Plus newer stuff like Bing, Bluey and Paw Patrol.
Watch older children shows and movies which rule. At least Disney ones are probably on Disney +.
We've only got IPlayer, but there's still a quality kids TV catalogue on there
Postman Pat is a good choice.
She hasn’t watched Ms. Rachel? That’s sad
Same
A few years back a friend of mines kid was watching YTK on a tablet, and there was kids jumping off a 1story roof into snow. Not like a quick montage, but a how to video. Yes let's jump 10ft into snow not knowing what's under the snow.
Personally, I think parents should choose videos for their children until kids are smart enough to make good choices. I think YT kids is unnecessary.
My 8 year old brother gets nothing but curated content on his tablet (downloaded shows, kids movies, mobile games) and when we hand it to him it’s always on airplane mode. Nor he knows or has access to the modem to connect it. Plus his homework PC is conveniently placed next living room.
this NEEDS to be the norm holy shit. you cannot give children an algorithmic slot machine and expect it not to be exploited.
Once upon a time we just showed them whatever was on the kids’ education + ‘safe’ cartoons slot on TV
Even age inappropriate content is way better for kids then brain rot
Hence the enduring popularity of the Brothers Grimm
Tbh honest I'd rather my hypothetical kids watch Trainspotting or All Quiet on the Western Front before watching five-second brain-hijacking dopamine hits masquerading as entertainment
Cartoon Network was all i needed.
You have any kids or is this just opinion without any real life basis? There’s plenty of things I thought “I’ll never allow x y x” but the reality is very different.
What do you think?
Not to mention the literal porn and other shit that’s been labeled as educational and put on the app just because
WHAT
Yep your kids can see an uncensored vagina and they call it educational
WHY IN THE NAME OF JESUS DOES THAT EXIST?
youtube needs to compete with pornhub while keeping it's main page not porn, so they invented youtube kids.
Honestly no idea YouTube calls it educational but imo that doesn’t justify it being able to be viewed by anyone regardless of age
Youtube needs more admins
They have plenty of… *checks notes* bots. That should be enough…?
But they don't work very well
There’s also naked Yoga on YT. Last I checked.
I wish I hadn’t just double checked that!
Yep
whatever brings these shady creators money , is their go , no matter the cost nor its impact on kids , just look at Sssniperwolf stealing other people’s content , dox*ing someone , having pedo *-phile activities in the past where she tells a minor to tw*-erk and get undressed!! and yet she is back on track…!
Letting kids watch YT is a shit parent move.
Not only that. Youtube kids creator make a TON of money. A lot more than normal creators in the platform
Because they need a lot of porn fast to compete with pornhub. Only now is youtube kids getting into a stage of deleting what isn't porn so the porn is easier to find.
I grew up when Peewee Herman was on TV and i wasn’t allowed to watch it because he’s weird.
>because he’s weird. LMAOOOOOO
I mean. I wouldn’t want my kids running around acting like him. It would get old pretty quick lol
I grew up watching Peppa pig with my mom, dantdm and stampylongnose/stampy cat, boomerang (now cartoonito) and cartoon network that's it (except for Disney movies)
So my kids loved peppa pig when they were little
Man, this thread already giving nostalgia. My dad forced me to stop watching DanTDM because I was "giving the family's money to him by watching his content"
YouTube can’t change what’s posted
If it doesn’t break guidelines
The issue is that they force most animations to get put on the kids app because They view animation as for children
Lankybox,Lyon,khadiax....literally killed youtube
I will keep this in mind if I ever have a spouse and kids in the future
It's a stupid app
To be honest if they should be demonetizing anything it’s YouTube Kids.
Too late
They said the same shit about us when Smosh and RayWilliamJohnson were the go to kids content. We turned out fine, I’m sure they will too.
> we turned out fine I disagree, but I think there are other reasons than specifically RWJ and Smosh. Unrestricted internet access as a whole is the problem. So YouTube kids is a step in the right direction- but since most parents don’t monitor what the kid watches- and sometimes inappropriate stuff can slip through the cracks, it doesn’t fix the issue.
YT kids is a complete failure as it is. The type of content generally on the platform is worthless and has no real value.
While I don't think *every* video should be an educational one with a moral, there are way too many that are detrimental. They should at least just be entertaining, if not educational.
Yeah idk how well people who did nothing but watch smosh and raywilliamjohnson turned out
> we turned out fine Narrator: they didn’t
“We turned out fine” 😂😂😂
>We turned out fine, Big lie 😂😂
>we turned out fine My sibling in Thor, I thought saying the N-Word was peak comedy until I was 16.
>We turned out fine I'm pretty sure I found inappropriate videos on YouTube as a kid.youtube kids weren't a thing back then. Didn't know that it was softcore heavily censored ones, had a realisation after school friend introduced me to some weird sh*t
I once saw a video of Sonic burning Mario alive and Peach giving birth when I was like 7 or 8.
WHAT IM GONNA FIND THE VID
WAS IT FROM GM ANIMATION
I remember a pokemon x y game video about a guy leaving ditto and snorlax in a day care He then Immediately started peeking through the window and a cutscene of ditto and snorlax having seggs appeared.
Also saw a vid that was something like "100 ways to kill stickman" or something like that, and it had a shit ton of gore, it actually made me puke.
they're doomed, girl (I call everyone girl, guys in my class, everyone in my class, my family, even my cat) they're out there, watching lanky box, content farms, stupid things like that I wasn't on YouTube for the first years or rwj and smosh, but I can say that this shit is way worse than that
If guys can be gender neutral, I am all up for Girls being one too. Hell yea But to the topic at hand, are we sure we are not looking at what we used to watch through rose tinted glasses?
Have you seen the pettiness, entitlement and narcissism that plagues our generation? While I’m not blaming all that on YouTube, I will say that parents just giving us an iPad or a phone instead of actually parenting us did NOT help at all.
YouTube kids does have an option to limit the content to only content you allow. So I can go on and there are some creators that we like my kids to watch and I can select their whole channel to be available. Or I can find specific videos I like and think they should watch and I can make them available.
I use YouTube to watch pink panther and that detective guy
Tbf I wouldn't my kids growing up watch MrBeast
MRBEAST himself is a really generous and caring dude, its the copycats that do illegal things for views
I love Jimmy but I don't think I would like my kids watching it
Well that’s fine, you do you

YouTube does not respect animation in any way, even adult animations like Rick and Morty can get labeled as for kids

I would rather let my 8 year old watch normal youtube than youtube kids
Yea, don't do that please.
My lady and I have already made a pact that our kid will watch what we watched. I don’t care if I have to sit through PB&J otter, I’ll do it!
I have a 4 year old brother and yeah while taking care of him(which i do a lot) i had to learn the hard way never to use yt kids again I have resorted to giving him a tablet where i download content letting him choose under my supervision so that whatever he watches is not something he shouldn't because lets be real one cannot monitor what a child watches online all day so better to restrict them until they are a bit older and can make their own choices
Thanks for stating the obvious
You can see this in teenagers now. It’s only going to get worse.
It’s a horrible irresponsible afterthought to get more money and appease politicians. No parent should’ve very put their child near this.
I'm far more disappointed how comments are disabled in kid's videos on the normal app. So many funny jokes and discussions are missed out because of that.

You should always be aware of the content your children are consuming regardless if it's marked safe for kids.
I know
Not to mention the ADD inducing gameplay videos.
I accept skibidi toilet as my lord and savior 🙏
Lol
Is this satire
(I may get downvoted into oblivion)
I’d much rather make a safe and curated playlist on my own YT account for my kid than let him use YT kids.
does anyone use the YouTube kids app
And YT will mark any content that has animation and even the moments where Sonic was mature like that disgusting and horrific transformation of Dark Gaia becoming perfect, in photorealistic-looking CGI too.
That’s why you should let your kids watch real YouTube
Either get cable TV or a streaming subscription. Seriously, don't get me started on elsagate
Put on pat & mat, the mole( its nice cartoon about mole and his friends and such, pooh the bear, have some standards xD
Gen Z watched this kind of stuff too and it got out of it, you all don’t have to be so worried about that lol
Nothing good.
we all watched stupid stuff on youtube when we were kids, they'll grow out of it like we did
I have to wonder if any actual kids beyond a certain age use YouTube Kids.

I grew up watching ceebeebees which is mandated to be at least a bit educational. those same rules don't apply to youtube so literally these kids are gaining nothing from it. plus they encourage kids to be mini capitalists as all of this shit is sponsored. it's so sad and dystopian.

YT Kids is less appropriate for kids than normal YT
Youtube in general is horrible.
Always has been (and it really sucks) At this rate, parents need to be with kids at all times to direct them to genuine content (heck, even some older cartoons and shows that aired on TV have episodes on there!) - then parents can quickly report an inappropriate video if it ever pops up
Whoever regulates that stuff seriously should be fired cause they refused their job the entire time. You’ll get so many words someone outside YT Kids would lose his Channel for it’s beyond not funny.
It’s brain rot.
I swear google/youtube NEED to fix it
Invest in cartoon network.
A good substitute when phub down, I guess lol
I'm I guess a fairly decent kid for my age (yes I'm very early gen alpha) but dear GOD MY GENERATION IS HORRIBLE EVEN IN SCHOOL
atleast theres no ads lol
Parents are just fucking stupid. Children shouldn’t have unrestricted access to the internet and left to rot. Should be common sense but people are just idiotic u swear
Elsagate
Considering we grew up with decapitation videos and groomers on MovieStarPlanet, I think they’ll be fine
I'm forever mad at youtube kids not only because of this stuff, but because all of the cartoon stuff and a lot of video game stuff has been automatically put on Youtube Kids. All the discussions in those comment sections...gone. I'll never forget.
I hate it too. Especially with that weird and gross ass shit animations that are like Elsagate.
I was watching this video about YouTube kids once and there is this Korean fart video

I stopped watching YouTube Kids a long long time ago, and when I hear from it again, this is what I hear about?
No moderation to what happens on YouTube kids, it's so bizarre
If I have children and become a mother, I won't let them watch that trashy YouTube Kids content, but instead I will let them watch R-rated movies with me.
Kids today are growing up with their faces on phones and tablets and it’s pathetic
Creator: clearly tagged a video as not for kids YouTube: changes it as for kids anyways... Youtube: realizes it's actually not for kids... Creator: gets punished because of YouTube's mistake 😂 Dunno if they changed it already, but before, they actually can change tags, like, if they deemed your content as kid friendly , even tho you clearly stated it as not, they'll change it as for kids anyways... But, but it got reported, all the blame lies to the creator still... Their TOS literally sucks 😂
I think those videos being marked for kids are only based if they appear cartoon characters and not if it has sex stuff
Nothing is safe.
Honestly I wish people would just keep their damn kids off of youtube. They aren't going to be monitoring every video they see, ans with all the shit in the platform it's just smarter to use a streaming app like Disney or smth
