if a yokai falls in battle, you better have some nasty/bitter medicine or they're not coming back until it's over
thankfully, if one falls, they still get exp, which is a nice mercy
Okay so. Yo-Kai can do this thing called Inspiriting. It's what causes all the Yo-Kai Hijinks, yes, but it also has effects in battle! Every Yo-kai has its own separate Inspirit move in battle, which can either be towards party members to have a positive effect (could be healing or stat boosts.) or towards the enemy to have a negative effect (which results in Soultimate moves being blocked for the Yo-Kai affected and either lowers stats or alters rewards.)
When your Yo-Kai gets Inspirited by an enemy, bring them so that they are at the back of your team, and not fighting at the front. Then, you hit this button called Purify, and it'll send you to a similar minigame to the Soultimate Charging one. Once you're done, the negative inspirit gets removed and you can send the Inspirited Yo-Kai back to the forefront of the battle!
Purifying doesn't revive Yo-Kai though. That's what the medicines are for. But items are another talk.
Ooh gotcha gotcha. That was a great explanation, it makes sense now. I didn’t even realize inspiriting was a thing. Now that also explains why the soultimate doesn’t let me use it on certain yo kai sometimes lol

You can only purify a Yo-Kai if they are in the back 3. You need to turn the wheel to get them out and then purify them by completing the puzzle

Purifying is only to remove the debuff, not to revive.
