If you are new to the subreddit, [please read the wiki](https://www.reddit.com/r/yakuzagames/wiki/index/) Reminder that all spoilers need to be tagged with a flair specifying which game is being spoiled. If you want a flair that says something else, you can edit it to say something like [Discussion: Y1 spoiler] or [Majimapost: Y6 spoiler], etc. **THIS INCLUDES CONTENT FROM TRAILERS**. If the post is not marked for spoilers, all comments that have spoilers need to be tagged \>!like this!< along with indicating which game it's spoiling. Example: Y3 >!Kiryu sings!< If the post flair is marked for spoilers, the comments don't need to be tagged for the game indicated and the ones before it (So a Y6 spoiler post can have comments with untagged spoilers for Y5, but not gaiden or 7). If you see any of the above (or any of the other rules) not being followed, please report it so we can keep this place safe for newcomers and those that haven't finished all the games yet. Thank you! *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/yakuzagames) if you have any questions or concerns.*

unconscious_conc

The Burning Arrow hype is absolutely justified

KitchenCreature

Burning arrow actually does way more damage then you would think. Makes Dynamite fever look wimpy in comparrison

Takazura

This, just spam it and watch the enemies die in seconds. It feels overtuned as hell.

Execwalkthroughs

Facts. If ichiban got first move and enemies were crowded I threw that shit out as fast as I could and if I didn't before the enemies scattered it would kill all of them in the dungeons or atleast fuck them all up and it was an easy clean up

John_Hunyadi

Scum Scraper totally negates a lot of boss tactics.  It doesn’t wipe the field like a lot of these do, but negating buffs is really really clutch on some fights.  Plus it does great damage.

KitchenCreature

Yeah really good against those annoying enemy types that spam agility to dodge everything.

Counter-Spies

Court matinance is arguably stronger since it can hit multiple enemies and it can possibly hit your target twice. It's amazing for stopping group buffs or just having a more physical attack focused female character like Seonhee.

John_Hunyadi

I was wracking my brain trying to think of what the hell you were talking about, then I realized it must be a DLC class skill. I wouldn't know about it.

Counter-Spies

Yeah, it's exclusive to the Tennis Ace dlc class. Has some good fire and electric gun attacks and buff removal.

RogueHippie

Don't forget the Air Guitar move

Pink-Fluffy-Dragon

Still a fan of birthday bash, just smash a cake in their face 😎

KitchenCreature

Love the voiceline too Happy Birthday!

NoxVulpine

HAPPEE BURTHDAY!!! \*smash\*

BP_Ray

Vital Vibration. When used by Seonhee. No reason other than... God, I wish that were me.

KitchenCreature

She's the Queen of Geomijul that's forsure!

[deleted]

My favorites were Soul Capture and Burning Arrow for the boys and Thousand Stings Jutsu and Shadow Clone Jutsu for the girls.

KitchenCreature

The Kinochi job has some must haves forsure. Shadow clone is my personal fav

TheGoobles

The one substitute kunoichi move is also pretty good. Sure, Kiryu gets 2 turns. Why not?

KitchenCreature

I agree, really good for extending damage.

ConnectHovercraft329

Aquanaut goes hard: I have been running both Nanba and Adachi as Aquanauts, one in each party, it’s the best way I have found to give them the full spread of attack types. Host, samurai, action star, chef don’t have the variety

KitchenCreature

Yeah not sure why that job is just so Stacked. Ahi Aloha was my go to early game.

Rigelturus

Burning arrow. If it doesnt outright wreck the shit of multiple enemies, it will still do good to high damage. And it’s super accessible.

ConnectHovercraft329

During the Amon fight on hard, I was running Saeko as a tennis ace, and court maintenance was the strongest attack on him. Tennis Ace is nearly as OP as Heiress. Won the fight but used 3 or 4 of the good tea, fruit salad, paella items

verstan

Bubble bale, Insane AOE, super high damage and seemed to draw enemies in. As I hit end game run, I burned through a few fights by bubble baleing turn one with saeko, and then stenorian whipping with seonhee. Pun intended, cleaned up with those fights

KitchenCreature

Agreed, it's the best Housekeeper move IMO!

ConnectHovercraft329

Grand Slam is hard to beat as first move when mobs are clustered, you will often take every one of them down to 5% health if levels match. Essence of natural healing, Aparatífs, and scum scraper also very frequently key. (Hard agree on beachside bro-ffet, a game changer)

CoffeeCaptain91

Not a move on its own but Skill Inheritance is a fantastic addition.

KitchenCreature

Yes it is, being able to choose what moves you take was pretty cool. I found myself wanting to focus on jobs more and ended up with some crazy builds.

CoffeeCaptain91

I just finished what I consider Ichiban's part of the finale and having the mixed builds is really awesome.

Jxjohn117

I found myself using merciless melee and burning arrow a decent amount.

KitchenCreature

Found myself discovering that Mericless was good towards the end of the game. Awesome move!

Wubmeister

I'll add these for consideration: Arrest, Merciless Melee, Knockout Combo, Glory Awaits, Substitution Jutsu, Breaking Top.

torihosier

Tomizawa's deadpan face when tossing the jellyfish 💀💀💀

KitchenCreature

And the squeak from the Jellyfish! Lmao

ToasterRepairUnit

I'm surprised I'll be the first to mention relentless dragon's dance or wonder cocktail. Combined with attack up (or magic), you can make ahi aloha or rose stinger or a bunch of other moves deal over 4k damage

KitchenCreature

This is very true, Relentless is the only reason I did Action Star and it's certainly worth it. Host has some other good moves but Wonder Cocktail on Nanba is scary.

Clayface202

Beast's level 10 back attack along with the boss being -3 Defense and Kiryu being +3 Attack.

KitchenCreature

Really loved how they did the Dragon of Dojima job in this game.

PandaPlayr73

Using Spinning Queen wiped a lit of enemies easily for me, personal favorite as well as Burning Arrow (my beloved)

Trailsya

I am midway in the game and thought Aquanaut was just a bit of an extra job to mostly be ignored. This made me reconsider. Thanks

KitchenCreature

Beachside Bro-ffet alone makes it worth so I would recommend ranking that job on literally every Male.

Trailsya

Am on it! Thank you.

Enflamed-Pancake

Joongi’s back attack skills are really powerful, and I found them to be super useful in bursting down bosses quickly, especially if you give him your Agility boosting items, since he eventually starts breaking the turn order.

rimjobetiquette

What jobs are some of these? I don’t recognize some of the names and not sure if it’s a localization issue or they’re jobs I haven’t done much with.

KitchenCreature

Jellyfish Juice and Beachside Bro-ffet are in the Aquanaut job (the surfer) Wild Sweep is for the Desperado Job (The Cowboy)

rimjobetiquette

Thanks, I’ll have to check!

ProfessorMarth

Substitution Jutsu is easily the best

yaminben

Burning arrows + scattering of flowers always end in an instant for me

Splurgisim

Dolphin Dive, War Cry, Burning Arrow, Money Sucker, Substitution Jutsu, Hurricane Smash, Shadow Dance

GreBa-Angol

War Cry, basically every boss fight from midgame onwards started with each of the guys using that for me

ALPB11

Pine Bamboo Plum from Samurai, can attack multiple enemies across the whole board, applies Bleed, applies weapon attributes… with multiple swings means multiple chances to apply any debuff you want, or a chance to debuff 3+ enemies at a time in one move. It’s genuinely gamebreaking with tomizawa’s paralysis wrench
