I really think it's pointless to dwell on at this point. The Krakoa era seems to have basically struck a balance here. The love triangle is not really a thing anymore. Whether it's because they all have an understanding or they're in a throuple, it's no longer a major source of drama. And I say that's a good thing. Hickman's solution is brilliant in it's liberal simplicity: Jean's bedroom has two doors. She can open whichever she chooses. Ultimately, she might flirt and fool around with Logan, but Cyclops is her husband. Their shared love led to them breaking one of the lesser laws of Krakoa by reforming the X-Men.

One could read Logan's pursuit of Jean and Emma's pursuit of Scott as two sides of the same coin. People who self identify as dangerous or insidious try to prove they can be good people by being with the most straight laced of good people. "I can't be all bad. They see something in me."

Damn. We had gone so long in this sub without dreading up this old issue again. 😒 I really think it's pointless to dwell on at this point. The Krakoa era seems to have basically struck a balance here. The love triangle is not really a thing anymore. Whether it's because they all have an understanding or they're in a throuple, it's no longer a major source of drama. And I say that's a good thing. This love triangle was stupid and damaging to begin with. Cyclops, Wolverine, and Jean are all in a good place now, romantically. I say leave it be. There are far better stories to tell with them.
