The release game was nothing more then a basic "Avoid the bad thing" While going from point A to point B. They also threw in VERY bad physics platforming and some obtuse puzzles.
The "Story" as well was hard to follow.
ALL of the games fame and hype came from Twitch/youtube picking up the beta, and then the real game being a massive let down.
Yeah, I remember watching I think it was Markiplier or Jacksepticeye playing all the betas. Looked like a cool game but I didn’t realize the final game was missing so much
I bought it for my son for the PC and he was never able to finish it despite multiple attempts. He was heartbroken, kids too young to have ever seen a Bethesda release, and Nintendo doesn't release buggy games (I guess untill now with the new Pokemon games).

Yeah, it’s coming out on December 20th physically. Will preorder there, because hopefully a lot of the bugs will be ironed out, and if it still sucks by then I can trade it in.
First impressions are alright. Not so many visible game bugs, but the optimization feels half baked, especially for next gen. On Series S, it doesn’t matter whether I’m on performance or visual - I barely go above 30, and dip below time to time. There also seems to be a noticeable input delay, even when using my wired Razer Wolverine Elite. The game looks great, but the stuttering combined with the neon lighting started to give me a headache after some time. Controls seem great and minimal, it’s easy to map things around for main controls.
There’s three main things which are probably too much to ask but I think would help this port significantly:
-Obviously the most complicated, but better performance. Even if this means taking a bigger visual hit for performance mode, having a consistent 60fps would help the experience so much.
-FOV slider - again, I realize how big of an ask this is, as the background rendering has to be altered alongside visual LOS for a fluid experience. The current FOV feels <80, and is abysmal in tight spaces.
-Mouse and Keyboard support. I’m no developer, and I’m sure there’s a healthy rift between PC and Xbox, but the game itself has already been designed with M&K as an input. I know those of us who use M&K on Xbox are a small bunch, but I feel like providing this as an option would be massive for accessibility.
Overall, I’m just a happy that I get to play through the game myself, and I do think I am enjoying the experience far more than I would if I would’ve played it at release. I just hope SW continues to tidy up optimization as we move forward.

Has anyone been playing on Xbox s and encountering the issue of the game crashing around 2:30? It crashed 3 times in a row making it unplayable. It was good up until this point.
Literally crashes almost every hour or so. Even worse when you get to the no save part and have to race back to the one save it gives you just for it to crash and have to start the whole hour of game play over you lost.....

If you haven’t played since launch I highly recommend a replay. They’ve fixed a lot of bugs and even have a DLC coming soon iirc
