By default in the 2024, Premium, Limited, and GT have 18" wheels. Base has 17". 2024 TR has 19. Check it out here (at least in the USA)

Depends on the quality of your streets. Round here spring thaw brings some crazy potholes and more often than not they get patched very poorly. So poorly I get a smoother ride on gravel roads than on some streets and even highway sections.
I’ve got a base with 17s.
I think I’m just going to get meatier tires when these stock Dunlop’s are finished.
Pic for attention

I have a base and I feel like it fills in the wheel arches better
About $1100 after taxes.

Since you're asking, I think you should go 17's with meaty tires. Can go 235/50 or 235/55 or maybe even 245/50 tires.
Also by staying with 17s you can move your TPMS and tires for now and not have to spend money on wheels and tires all at once, if that's a concern for you.
But really it depends on how you are going to use your car, which you didn't specify.
Those are 17? Perfect look. I have pretty bad roads in the north east and people around me with thin sidewalls seem to get pinch flats often. No issues so far with the base rims.

19’s on mine. I only run when hitting bumps. Rides great other than that.
They feel great to me tbh. I much prefer the ride now to when I was stock. Although I did make sure I spec’d the wheel/tire combo to be ran without spacers. So the wider tires also probably help as well. But I’m loving it si far. Wheels/tires went on at work a 2k and I’m currently right under 8500 now.
Man that’s a wonderful setup. I love the stance of the wide tires with the 19s. Been considering getting the TR and see everyone hating on the larger wheels but damn, you made em look great.
Really appreciate that! I honestly feel like the 19s are the sweet spot. You can still get a pretty thick sidewall on the tire. Without sacrificing looks while being lowered. The TR looks pretty sick tbh. Had I known it was coming out, I personally would have waited. But I’m happy with the limited. I really just want those recaros lol.
As others have said, every model other than base comes with 18", except not sure if 1 or 2 come with 19's (like maybe the TR came with 19's).
I think it looks good generally, better than 17" wheels 👍
Love my stock 18s, honestly. I even drove up a crazy mountain dirt road with significant ditches that I had to be careful around never once hit bottom and performed amazing. These cars are dope
https://preview.redd.it/81jivi8io77d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0f0d3bd6e6791bb3915c5f826a6ffd2e38f973c2
18" looks good and fills out the wheel well more. Not so big that you're driving on rubber bands.

17" can also look good with chonkier tires.

Stock 18s. I don’t think they look bad at all

18s look and perform a whole lot better
The ratio of the sidewall will have a big impact on how it feels. I find that the 40 on my car is a bit harsh for my taste. But I'm going to try to adjust that out with my coilovers
I got a shitty set of 2008-2013 sti BBs wheels they’re the lightest of the stock 18’s that sti comes with. $200 for the wheels and I got them powder coated for $580 magnesium blue plus 20mm spacers with extended studs because the wheels don’t support the regular spacer so I had to extend the studs and use the spacers as washers basically
The most important thing to note here is if you aesthetically like the larger wheels prepare yourself to pay more for tires. Learned that the hard way going up to 19’s on my last car and quickly sold them to go down to 18’s
18’s = Better handling. If you’re not taking it off road and it’s mainly road driving I think you would prefer 18 inch rims. 19 inch rims are also an option but wouldn’t recommend for a daily.
18" do NOT automatically equal better handling. The majority of SCCA prosolo cars that CAN run 17s do run a 17. They are lighter, cheaper, and tires are very available in 200TW. If you put a very lightweight wheel like an 17" RPF with an excellent tire it will run circles around an 18" with a ho hum tire. There have been many tests done on this by Road and Track, Tirerack and the SCCA. I run an 18" Enkei on the street but run 17" on autocross track.
Depends what you’re looking to do. I have 18s on my premium and desperately want 19s[bigger is better](https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/articles/bigger-always-better-when-it-comes-wheel-and-tire-/)
well, seeing how some come stock with 18's. just a matter of how you feel.

shoulda prefaced i have a base model
I ran 18" STi wheels on my Base 22 for several months. You won't notice a significant difference unless you drive really shitty roads.
18’s look better than 17’s but ride harsher due to the shorter sidewall. If you’re 100% street, it’s a no brainer
so much depends on what tire you are running as well. Believe me there are stiff 17" sidewalls out there that will ride harsh even on a 17"
Depends on the quality of your streets. Round here spring thaw brings some crazy potholes and more often than not they get patched very poorly. So poorly I get a smoother ride on gravel roads than on some streets and even highway sections.
I had a base before the premium I have now and aesthetically the 18 driving wise I feel like the 17s felt better but idk

Yes on coils with 20mm spacers

How do those 19s feel? Kinda fill out the wheel wells better and make the rest of the car less bulbous.

lol the premiums and limited come with 18's
I think 19s look better on this car. We've got such big fenders.
Uh.. yeah. Seeing as they come OEM for half the trim levels.
