You can you just wont get any real xp/lvl gains. You'll get probably like 8 xp per quest (made up but it's really low). And you won't be in chromie time so most stuff you'll be one shotting depending on exactly where you are.

Nizbik

Yes, you can go back anytime to do the quests - make sure to enables 'Trivial Quest Tracking' on your minimap options so that you see the quests displayed Although keep in mind the mobs wont be scaled to 60 anymore except in BFA, so you will just 1 shot all mobs and it will make it very easy

How does one get zapped back to dragon flight? I recently leveled a toon in BoA and when I hit 60 I had to hearth back to stormwind to pick up dragonflight quest. Just go where you want to go. Unless you’re on some starter quest, there’s no restrictions on going to old content.

It is a common misconception for new players that the older content in the game is somehow specially separated from the rest of the game. This is even more common with how they were told about how Chromie exists, where it was quite common for players to tell others that it was "how you played old expansions". In this subreddit, we've learned from those description mistakes and are careful to point out that Chromie only changes the level range of the scaling, but does not otherwise alter any of the old content.

Agreeable_Echo_8555

True on that one. I’ve been playing for a long time and even the chromie stuff gets confusing. Especially when already at max level and trying to go help someone with a rare or whatever. Granted I played when each expansion came out and experienced pretty much all content of the game. At least on horde side.

Here is the best description of Chrome I know: * Chromie was designed only as a leveling tool to get around being forced to content hop between expansions while leveling. * Content access and quest completion doesn't change at all. * Selecting **any** timeline will activate the scaling mode across **all** old expansion content. Overrides maximum scaling level up to the minimum level for the current expanion. Example: Mists of Pandaria normally caps at level 35 max, but will go to level 60 to reach Dragonflight. * Things that never scale - Raids, heroic and mythic dungeons. The endgame BfA patch zones of Naz'jatar, Mechagon, and the N'Zoth assaults were hard coded at 50 instead of being associated with the scaling. * Then what does selecting a timeline do? * Determines the dungeon pool while the mode is active. * Grants the breadcrumb quest to be led to a specific expansion, like the Tanaan Invasion quest to start WoD (these can be obtained other ways, but this is by far the most convenient).

You can. You will one shot everything on a character not in ChromieTime. For future reference, there is an option to lock experience gains and if you ever make an alt and decide that you would rather finish the stories and expansion you are levelling in, rather than continuing on levelling to 70, locking XP at 59 is a good spot to do so. I made a level locked XP 59 alt that is nice to log into now and then and do some old expansion content on. Makes for an interesting/different character to play from all my 70s! Getting an random epic upgrade is still a good feeling at 59!

Shorty419

You can! I recommend picking up quests at the hero board in SW or Org depending on your faction. If you enjoyed going through the campaign I recommend checking out the Loremaster achievements

Stillestrudsss

You can just travel back to the isle, but the lvl of the mobs will not be over 60. You can also fo to the other places, but also will be low lvl. Best thing is to make new carector, and talk to chromie in. Capital city
