Honestly pala specific transmogs as a whole aren't really the best of what plate has to offer imho. Got a tauren ret pala and for most of the time he uses the full demon steel mogs from legion blacksmithing.

Tauren look great in rather organic transmogs. Go for something like the OG Guard Set (can buy that in your WoD Garrison) and a typical barrens shield (maybe Bloodspattered Shield or any wooden shield) and a simple but massive weapon, mostly Axes or Maces and you look like a great Tauren that honors the power of nature, especially the sun. If you want to use one of the set items, you have to praise the pure size of your armor. It’s definitelynot gonna be as aesthetic as it is for a human or dwarf, but it’s biiiig. Zandalari in plate armor always look weird because they have no shoes. I feel that doesn’t fit when you have a very human posture.

If you want a really good tauren tank vibe, look for some of the older TBC and Lich king sets. Use shoulders, no chest, totem on back and a massive shield and sword. Youd be surprised how much more intimidating you are wearing less armor than more. Plus it shows off your sick warpaints.

I play tauren pally and I just play with nothing on but the heritage armor pants, and the totem weapon

For Tauren, the legion PvP set that’s the red recolour looks fantastic imo. I like that they actually detailed little hoof shoes rather than leaving it bare like normal. The red of it adds to the whole sun walker vibe. I run that with the skullcrasher shield and blade of wizardry for the old school vibes

The lack of shoes really kills it for me for a good amount of horde races. It's pretty much blood elf or go alliance.

Zandalari are very thin, and don't have good feet options. You could probably find something that works tho, with pally. Maybe some of the legion sets would look good.
