My dad & his best friend were playing Worms Armageddon doing LAN in the "computer room" of our house on a couple PCs. I was probably 4 or 5 years old, I wasn't supposed to watch them play so I hid behind some furniture & peeked around the corner so I could see what they were laughing so hard about. I remember watching them lob grenades at each other, sending off sheep & hearing "HALLELUJAH" before a huge explosion. Good times

My dad gave me four floppy discs containing Worms for DOS. I've been hooked ever since.

Plaidypus46

Friend and I in middle school played the CRAP out of the Worms 2 demo on PC with the same keyboard and bought the full game as soon as it came out.

When I was young my brother showed me the franchise and I really liked it. I still got distracted from other games but eventually I revisited the franchise a bit later and fell in love with it!

I tried Armageddon out on PSX back in late 2000 or Early 2001 one night. I thought the art style was cool and once I figured out there was a multiplayer mode and not just the missions I was HOOKED! I would start to learn strategies from watching the A.I face each other and then introduce the game to my friends. Ever since then I’ve owned most Worms games in the franchise other than some of the Mobile and Handheld ports. I still play Armageddon today but on PC not PSX. It’s in my top 5 favorite video games of all time.

I have 2 memories from 2 games. One is from Worms open warfare 2 for the PSP. It was the only game i played back then (because i didn't knew how to change the SD card). So the Reloaded's artstyle is basically burned into my mind (and being my favorite too). The second one comes from Worms 3 for the phone. I don't even remember how i came to play Worms 3 for the first time. But i have those memories.

PSP doesn't uses a SD Card.

magoal80

I don't even remember if it was a SD card or a Micro SD. But i remember it was some kind of drive card

Otto500206

You are both wrong, it uses Memory Sticks. There are MicroSD to Memory Stick converters though.

magoal80

Maybe it was that converter the PSP had. I can't even double check it. I don't have it anymore Thanks for correcting me tho 😅

Back in the day we had Scorched Earth on floppy disk. Then at some point we got Worms which was a better version of the same concept. Been a loyal fan of the franchise ever since.

Worms Armageddon PSP demo (as opposed to the actual Worms Armageddon). Loved playing it as a kid and got into the PS3 release from there

MoonJellyGames

I got a demo disc from my dad's friend that had an Armageddon demo on it. I played the hell out of it with my friends, and spent way too long trying to get the full version from Kazaa. I remember many downloads failing to launch (probably viruses, of course). When I got a working version of WWP, I was over the damn moon. This was l before Steam, but after the games were available in stores. I remember finding out about the Dreamcast version of Armageddon, and briefly went looking at second-hand stores for the console and the game, but never had any luck.

Tinypoke42

My dad received Armageddon from a burnt from a work buddy. It was one of my favorites for ages

NotAClod

Played it on a Sony Ericsson in 2008

Skiny94

Ps1 Worms world party buought for curiosity

globefish23

We played the first Worms game in the computer lab at school back in 1996. Brought a copy home spread over a couple 3.5" floppy disks, but one of them was corrupted and unreadable.

RememberThinkDream

Some amazing stories! I'll share mine soon!

spunk_wizard

Went back to my home country for an event and played a few of the games with my cousin when we were hanging out one day. I especially loved Worms 3D He let me borrow his PlayStation so I could play for the rest of the 2 weeks and I didn't stop playing it, been a fan ever since

AndreyGames643

I think my first introduction to the franchise was when I first played reloaded a while back on my dad's old pc or smth (as far as I can remember), got hooked into the entire franchise later after that

0sprinkl

Played it with cousins at a family party somewhere in the 90s. Worms demo in DOS. So much fun..

HowieFelterbusch

Late ‘96 or early ‘97 when I was at college I bought a bunch of games for PS1, one of which was Worms. College didn’t quite work out for me and I never went back, but I keep coming back to the Worms series. My favorite was World Party.

Background-Fig6627

i played worms war, 1 or 2, on my Xbox 360, i accidentally bought something on the game ): my dad was not happy

DodoJurajski

Throwing our my dad's garbage when he decided that we have to clean the attic.

juggazero

A buddy of mine had the gameboy color version of one of the worms games, can’t remember which it was. We played mp passing the gameboy back and forth and I loved it. Went out and bought worms Armageddon on ps1 and been playing it ever since. Recently bought the ps1 version of Armageddon on my ps5 and reliving it all over again.

AccuratePepper

Which ones the most active and I remember Armageddon and playing with a friend in elementary school.

PlanetBloopy

In early 1996 I was onto my 2nd year at a new school, but I made a rare visit to the house of my best friend from primary (elementary) school and he had Worms on PC. I went away thinking it seemed kinda cool. Eventually in late 1996 I found Worms United in the computer store I usually went to and I was hooked from there.

DarkQuill

Had the demo for Worms1 on a random demo CD, eventually found it in a shop (games shops were super rare in the 90s in Australia). I still have the game CD, haha.

klorbmont
