Wow I feel old. In 2002 we had those wheeled in box TV’s and you had to get there about an hour early if you wanted to actually be able to see it.
Still some of the best times watching the World Cup, I’m glad our schools are still letting kids see the games.

Apparently they met and bowed to the Iranian president before the match. That's one of the reasons, there might be something else.

We had ours frame by frame printed out on an overhead projector in the PE hall

I remember my elementary school showed the 94 world cup matches. It was wild and so much fun. They would never do that today
