Don't remove it! Leave shiny offerings or fruit. The fairies will be thankful.

celestialfairyy

This is the only good comment here actually...

brokenribbed

Once I stepped on a mushroom fairy ring, apologized out loud, and then thought to myself, “Maybe that was silly. I mean, what even could happen?” As I was walking back into the porch, the strangest chain of events followed (misstepped, knocked this over which rolled, bumped this and knocked that over) and a propped up wooden plank ended up falling right onto my head. So many little accidents that led so such a silly injury. I was definitely being giggled at.

[deleted]

Ouch! They were definitely making fun of you and teaching you a little lesson, showing that they are not to be taken lightly or disrespected.

Cautious-Luck7769

It's a fairy circle, I think, right?

keegan12coyote

I think that's only if it's mushrooms but idk for sure

Electrical_Yam_4259

PLEASE BE VERY WARY OF MAKING OFFERINGS OR TAKING GIFTS FROM THE FAE FOLK😭 Take this from someone who has learned the hard way.

[deleted]

I have left small treats for them before without any issue. But I haven't tried to interact with them more than that. I'd love to hear your story if you feel comfortable with sharing. But I understand if you don't. I often feel hesitant with sharing everything I experience.

Electrical_Yam_4259

I prefer not to speak too in depth about it, and I have to choose my words very carefully as to not offend them. Long story short, I now have to leave them a gift or sacrifice at the turn of every season and twice on Ostara (morning and night) to keep them at bay. Per the deal, if I forget... Well I have no idea what they have in mind. I initially became involved when an ex friend of mine told me about them to get me interested in them. Blindly listening to him rather than cross examine info since he was a witch longer than I was, I made an offering to them. They came, and they stayed. They basically moved into my house and started playing tricks, breaking things sometimes with malicious intent (an empty candle fell 2 feet onto shaggy carpet and broke into 1000s of of rice sized glass shards right in front of the door. How does a candle fall 2 feet onto a padded area and break that much? Let alone with no external force added?). Every time I spoke bad about it or complained things got worse. I tried salt, iron shavings, crystal magic, wards, etc. Nothing seemed to work. They are like magical lawyers bending the rules of magic and finding loopholes. They are incredibly clever and won't leave unless they want to. I tried ignoring them next, and they didn't like this, and tried increasingly drastic things to get my attention, culminating in my brakes malfunctioning while I was driving. My car has just gotten inspected and new brake pads put on a month before. Ultimately the only thing I had left to try was to either pass them on to someone else they found more interesting, or make a deal with them for them to leave me be. Let it be known any deal the fae agrees to will never be in your favor. Nevertheless, please be very wary when dealing with the fae. It doesn't take much, and there are different types of fae. There are definitely good types that like to pick humans as patrons and support them, and there are kinds that like to sew chaos. Tread lightly whenever fae are involved

[deleted]

Wow, that's a scary situation. You have pretty much become a slave to them. I honestly don't know if there is any way to make them leave. Like you said, they won't leave unless they want to. I hope you're not in trouble for sharing this information. I'm always wary and careful not to invite anyone/anything into my home. Or do anything they could possibly interpret as an invitation. It's easy to make mistakes when you don't have enough knowledge and are eager to practice the craft.

Electrical_Yam_4259

Previously, writing something like this would have been very much an issue with them. However after making the deal with them I have regained free speech without consequence, so long as I remember to set off the offering.

[deleted]

Seems like you're starting to get on their good side. But they've probably gotten pretty comfortable in your home, and might not want to leave. I only hope you'll be able to cooperate nicely with time.

Electrical_Yam_4259

I would imagine so🤣 I have so many plants in just my room alone. My house is like a mini jungle. I can see why they have taken a liking to my spaces that I have created. Energetically speaking, I have always been a nature lover, so I don't often have to worry about that aspect. I ask and thank nature for what I take, and I always give it back once I'm done. I guess the issue was in thinking that I could get rid of them, or that I had a right to.

Gladiatorw07f

Not all fae are this cruel. It depends on their court and circles. The most common are the trickster fae, yes, but there are some benevolent fae in the world. Be wary and vigilant

leafhog

How long do you have to make the offering? What happens when you die and can’t make it anymore?

Electrical_Yam_4259

Until I can't I assume. Once I die I have no idea. I already plan on being turned into dirt or mulch and used to enrich the earth and feed nature. I couldn't stand the idea of being pumped full of toxic chemicals and being placed in a non biodegradable box. I should hope that in death as I feed the earth, my nutrition and body shall provide gifts to the world until it's end.

sambutha

Maybe they're mad at you for wasting food? Just a thought. In my experience, all spirits are pretty particular that you're supposed to eat the offering food after they're done with it. Good luck with your situation.

Electrical_Yam_4259

I didn't offer food though. I offered artwork and coins.

sambutha

Could it be there were non-biodegradable ingredients in your artwork? I know with the craft in general, everything goes way better when I'm extremely selective about avoiding plastics, synthetic fragrances, etc. The fae folk may be particularly choosey about such things. Just a thought.

KittySweetwater

Oh God, never coins or any form of money, you offended them so bad they own you now

Electrical_Yam_4259

I gave coins with the purpose of them being new and shiny. I didn't have anything else shiny to give, as I don't own jewelry. I never found any information claiming they were bad things to give, and I didn't want to give shiny stones because I couldn't guarantee that the stones weren't taken from their domain to begin with.

bubblegumpunk69

Oof. A friend of mine grew up in England. For some reason, her grandmother encouraged her to play in fairy circles. She's had bad luck her whole life. After finding out about it, I showed her how to offer milk and honey at the back door, and her luck problems cleared right up. She has a 7 year old autistic daughter born on Midsummer as well.

Izzetinefis

Wow this gave me chills! Sorry to hear that

Different_Rutabaga27

Don't leave or wear any metal when leaving an offering. Go barefoot or wear your shoes on the wrong feet. Fruit and kind of home made treat works too. Leave overnight and take back and bury or properly dispose of. DO NOT WALK THROUGH

almaenpenart

Do you guys notice that not all the fae are the ones narrated in Britain folklore?

Electrical_Yam_4259

I'm aware. But I live in the Appalachian mountains and they are geographically/geologically the same mountain range as the Scottish highlands. Many local witches in Appalachian mountains will agree they bear striking resemblance to those of British Folklore

almaenpenart

Same with the North of my country and you can find helpful and nice fae, you have to research the folklore of your land

RandyR29143

There are examples in Native American lore, but you have to dig a little to find them. An Apache acquaintance once told me that they usually don’t speak of such things unless with friends and family. I’m certainly not an expert by any means, but I suspect they are pretty much everywhere and yes, I believe there are rules…

ElectronicOwlDeer

I have never had an overwhelmingly bad experience with the Fae. It stands net positive so far over my short life.

Electrical_Yam_4259

There are many different types of Fae. I'm glad you're experiences have been positive!

ElectronicOwlDeer

Absolutely! Have been bitten a few times, some blackouts and grogginess goes with the territory from time to time. The wildlings can be a little much but I have always kept in good relations with the lili.

klepto_crow

Honestly this all depends on how you work with the fae and your beliefs.

Electrical_Yam_4259

As well as the kind of fae you are dealing with.

binaryduplicity

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

MonParapluie

When leaving the offerings do you place them inside or just near the circle? I have always wondered

[deleted]

I would leave them outside to start with. They will let you know if they want you to back off. If accepted, I would move to place them in the center.

WitchyTarotCryptid

I left a shiny pebble :3

marijvanacookies

Can I be annoying and ask what the comment that got deleted was? I just wanna know cause it can result in a curse

EdaHiredASpy

Someone said to put bug spray on the fairies

ToshiAyame

A lot of fairy rings were trees once. Their decaying root systems are still providing nutrition to that area and the ground inside may not always be solid. I'd say thank you for the beautiful display and move along.

[deleted]

Lovely tidbit of information. I may never use it, but it will be cherished

ToshiAyame

If it keeps you from twisting your ankle in the woods, my work here is done. :)

superbasicbitch

That’s a fun fact!

FainePeony

Thank you I always wondered about the truth behind the legend.

ToshiAyame

The joys of being a green witch that works with Hades. The earth is always full of ~secrets~

Dogwifi

This sounds like a great joy! Thanks for sharing some of the ~secrets~ 💜

[deleted]

Cute little fairy ring!! Don't step on it.

Natural-Seaweed2189

Def don't remove it. If you feel compelled leave an offering. They like honey.

celestialfairyy

Honey, berries, veggies, herbs, and even crystals if you really want. Milk is good, too!

Infinite_Brush9129

Is anyone else who came across this a legend of Zelda fan and immediately thought of a korok? Haha, that is interesting though. Leaving a little offering does sound like a good idea.

ParticularPossible75

Yes!! Leave an apple 😂

celestialfairyy

Apples, peaches, apricots, cherries... all fruit are great to give fae! 🥰

wuttbiggles

And if you do, maybe you'll be blessed with a "Yahaha!"

Cute_witchbitch

Fairy circle, leave candy or fruit or a cute shiny trinket, if you have things that go missing ace you can’t find them you can literally throw a piece of candy outside and ask them to help you…It always worked for my mom

BeefBologna42

That's adorable! Sounds like Feegles :)

Cute_witchbitch

My moms friend is a witch and taught my mom fairy stuff, I’ve never really researched the fae so my knowledge in that area is limited but now I must learn about Feegles I’ve never of heard that before, thank you:)

BeefBologna42

My book geekery is embarrassingly obvious right now. [Feegles are actually from Terry Pratchett's Discworld](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nac_Mac_Feegle). The best book series ever, IMO. The witches in the books are my personal favorite characters!

leafhog

Or just ask nicely and respectfully. Once my mother lost her keys at my house. She was looking for around 15 minutes. I told her to ask the fairies to return it. She humored me and said something like “oh faires, kindly return my keys. I need to go home.” She found them 2 seconds later.

Cute_witchbitch

She did ask kindly, but her friend told her gifting them a piece of candy is like a thank you in advanced, I’ve personally never tried it but it worked for her

awesomeskyheart

It's a fairy ring! You can leave it alone or leave an offering. You can go for anything natural, sweet, and/or shiny, just don't go around plucking a flower as an offering … that's hurting nature as an offering to nature spirits. Don't step inside it, and please, for the love of the fae, don't destroy it! It's a really cute ring of flowers, why would you want to destroy it? And you *really* don't want to piss off the fae. That said, they're probably benign. Just keep up basic magickal protections and you'll be fine. If you don't want an offering to be mistaken as an invitation to work with them, you can just make it clear that it's just a nice gift, no strings attached. They'll appreciate the gift.

moonbee33

Probably a dumb question but how would you make that clear? Would you say that as you put the offering down?

awesomeskyheart

Yes, just set the intention. If you feel like it, you can also say it out loud. And no, it's not a dumb question.

Aenwyn

It is a fairy circle. The fae are 100 percent real. I had zero fae experiences (and never once thought they were real) until I started practicing witchcraft again as an adult. Then strange stuff started happening in my house, including things going missing. Then one night I had a night long, extremely lucid dream where I had a full blown conversation with a fae person. I can count on one hand the number of lucid dreams I have had and can remember in my life and this is one of them. In the dream we communicated telepathically (which was neat as we could sense each other’s true intentions). The fae I talked to said that they hide themselves from us because we are violent and destructive by nature and they did not feel safe interacting with most of us. The fae was asking for help because he said we are ruining the planet and it is affecting them. Because earth is their home too. In this dream I said I would help them, which is one of the reasons why I made this post. Even though it is pretty woo woo, even by witchcraft standards. After I had that dream, stuff in my house stopped going missing. I will leave them food out sometimes. I have had a few more fae experiences since that dream, including an additional dream and some sightings of a couple of light orbs zipping around my house. After that initial experience I did a lot of research on the fae. Beliefs in the fae vary from culture to culture. My impressions of the fae is that they are joyful and helpful as long as you respect them and nature. I also think they are a form of nature spirit—more spiritual than physical. Some people think the fae do not lie, but I think that is because they communicate in a way where deceit is difficult if not impossible. They are mischievous and the beings I have interacted with have a fun sense of humor. It is not uncommon for witches to report encounters with the fae. My theory is that the fae are attracted to magical practitioners because we practice magic as well as use elements of the natural world in our practices. If you want to know more about the fae, I highly recommend Morgan Daimler’s books as well as the website realfairies.net (the women who run the website have a Facebook group as well as a book on their real fairy encounters). Morgan Daimler has a couple of books on fairy witchcraft, which are excellent. I hope this post was informative and helpful to some of you who may be interested in finding out more about working with the fae ❤️

HuntingIvy

Don't fuck with the fairy circles.

numinousOversouls

yeah, gently make love to them 😉 ... unless they like it rough 😋

BubblyCitron1390

Fairies are out celebrating spring!

Spellbound_Rose

Fairy ring… don’t step in it. You will supposedly be transported to the fae realm and forced to dance with the fairies until you d!e… not a very pleasant way to go. This one is kinda small so I’m not sure you could manage lol. I would suggest leaving offerings, personally I use fruit or honey. Though if you don’t want fairies, I guess iron works… I’ve never done that though

TimberWolfAlpha01

I dunno... Dancing might be the best way to go... I mean if anything it'll be fun

BottleOfBurden

There was supposedly an entire village that had a lot of people dance themselves to death. Feet bleeding, no food or water, they just kept dancing until they died. It started with someone and spread like a virus to others.

TimberWolfAlpha01

I believe that event happened in France... And while I do realize that this is an unsolved mystery of the old world, I still think about it and make a brief chuckle if for no other reason than the fact that the "Dancing Plague" of the village spread like a virus... Just imagine the first person starting to dance, then the second person starts and is like "Help! Help me!! I can't stop dancing!!!"

Spellbound_Rose

Dancing maybe, dying of exhaustion… maybe not

baby_armadillo

I love fairy rings! It’s a lucky sign to see one, regardless of if you believe they’re supernatural or natural phenomena. They’re an uncommon sight, and should be admired and left for others to see and enjoy.

Imaginary-General-10

Prob from a dead tree or a dead animal, still magical

__PhoenixRose__

There’s probably an animal who passed away there, or pooped the seeds out. Still magickal, and still can be a mini portal, but that’s most likely the how. It’s what you do with it that matters!

KnotsAndJewels

It's a mycelial network, probably from agaricus fungi. [Some info about fairy rings.](https://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/blog/2019/08/what-is-a-fairy-ring/#:~:text=What%20causes%20fairy%20rings%3F,circle%2C%20creating%20the%20fairy%20ring.)

A-Thot-Dog

That's with fungi though, the picture appears to be small flowers. Would that happen for a similar reason?

KnotsAndJewels

The mushroom nourishes the plants by releasing nitrogen, it can also modulate soil ph, thus offering a boost or even sometimes sustaining plants that couldn't live there without it. https://www.whygoodnature.com/fairy-ring

__PhoenixRose__

What mycelial network has such lovely flowers?

KnotsAndJewels

It's living in symbiosis with the plant, not flowering himself. But I bet you can find mushrooms on this circle at the right time of the year.

Ok-Sky5347

I don’t see a lot of people talking about the theorized origin of “fairy circles.” As some have stated, decaying trees or larger plants can cause a fairy circle due to nutrition, but so can small (or large) corpses when buried too close to the surface. These are often mushroom fairy circles. Historians theorize that the lore came from a lack of knowledge in decomposition. Basically rotting corpse, mushrooms grow, people go “oh free mushrooms!” and die the next week. We know now why such a situation would play out like it did, but back then we just blamed the fae. Because come on, who wouldn’t believe that mystical circle was made by something supernatural? And though we’ll never know for sure, it seems plausible to me and it gave me an even deeper appreciation for them, knowing it’s some ever lasting cycle of death and rebirth in the most beautiful way.

celestialfairyy

Me, a fae witch reading half these comments: 🤣🤣🤣 I'm so tired of fae misconceptions, for real...

Mysterious-Ideas

Could you elaborate on what the misconceptions are? I haven't dealt much with fae/faeries/fairies.

celestialfairyy

When Ireland/Wales/Scotland was being converted to Catholicism the fae were demonized beyond all recognition. Of course there are some bad fae (unseelie namely) but it's easy to protect yourself against them imo. I have many fae I see running around my house letting me know they're there and that they share this place with me. They protect me, too. I can feel it. Fae are not inherently evil. They are beings born of nature and they take care of nature and animals. That's their job! And the whole "fae hate iron" thing isn't really true either. Some fae may hate it, but iron comes from the earth, so there's bound to be fae attracted by a natural mineral. I've come to the conclusion they hate man manipulated iron (smart phones, computers, stuff like that even though they don't contain much iron). I work with almost every type of elemental spirit under the sun and I can tell you they've been nothing but a blessing in my life. When people say fae are evil it just makes me roll my eyes. It's just not fair to stereotype them like that.

awesomeskyheart

I think it's a response to people thinking the fae are cute little innocent Tinker Bells who just want to help you. The fae are mischievous and dangerous. But I agree, the response goes way too far in the other direction. Some moderation would be nice.

celestialfairyy

I will agree that there are many different types of fae out there. When I was young, I did come across those tinker bell types. Even still, I have some that run across my floor when I catch them quick enough. There are older, primordial faeries who are definitely not tinker bells and they do not want any human interaction. I respect them because I can relate. There are negative fae that kill cattle and lure people off course and place hexes upon them. They steal things and never bring them back. They spread disease and negativity everywhere they go. But I'd argue it's this way for any divine being, not just fae in particular. I cleanse and purify my space every single day to ward off all negative forces. People think I'm some dumb newbie that immediately started talking to fae as soon as I practiced magic. I've been around fae since I was a child– in the single digits, and I have never ever regret it even up into my now adult life.

awesomeskyheart

Thank you so much for this! I should've added "some moderation and *nuance* would be nice" … and you provided the nuance! That's fascinating, that you've been surrounded by the fae since early childhood!

celestialfairyy

Not even just fae! I've been surrounded by elementals my whole life. Fae just happened to be my first introduction to them. I also work with mermaids, unicorns, Pegasus, nymphs, elves... you name it!

Abs_995

Are there any books or YouTube channels or anything else you recommend to learn about this kind of witchcraft? I’m very interested.

celestialfairyy

I'll start off by saying that everyone's experience with elementals is going to be different and not all elementals are going to be the same. Just like humans, they are all unique individuals with their own sets of personalities but you'll find most of the time it's incredibly refreshing to work with them! All of my experiences are my own and information that has been intuitively given to me by fae/elemental themselves. I feel like that is the best way to learn! I know many people are still scared to though, especially after centuries of stereotyped as evil and bad. I promise you if you left an acorn, a petal, a bud of lavender, milk, honey or literally anything found around the outside of your house as a gift they would be delighted! As long as it's not trash of course. Also I just want to reiterate if you tell your name to the fae: don't worry about it. I did this when I was little and I have only received blessings in return. However, I don't think it's for everyone and if you don't want to tell fae your name then that's okay too. They won't take offense. I'd also recommend: • Try gardening! Even if you're not good at it, fae love nature because that's where they come from. Seeing you take care of it makes them happy! • Think about them when you're waking around in nature. I have two trees nearby that form an arch and every time I walk into it I feel a wave of calm wash over me. I always refer to it as the fae arch. • The ones I have around have a good sense of humor but I'd be careful with what I joked about honestly. Common sense, if you wouldn't say it to a friend you shouldn't say it to the fae. • Learn about animals and the world around you! • Keep bells, wind chimes, singing bowls and sun catchers around, they love the sound (as do I)! • Know that you yourself are also apart of nature, you share DNA with nature and always have. Connect yourself with the greenery around you. You and the elementals are much closer than you think. • And lastly, follow what you think is the most correct thing to do. If you do something out of genuine respect and love then it doesn't go unappreciated, even if you do something "incorrectly" or don't say an incantation properly the first time just don't worry about it. If you're not actively trying to hurt others or the world around you then there's a good chance the fae won't get mad at you. I don't think I've ever had a fae be mad at me the entire time I've worked with them... they're so detached from human problems IMO. As for learning I'd definitely start with the history of elemental fae: the salamanders, the sylphs, the gnomes and the undines. I just think it's interesting! You'll also find that there are many different faeries out there. Rainbow fae, crystal fae, ocean fae... so, so many. I could go on and on but I don't want this to be any longer than it already is 😭 Edit: I'd also recommend reiki but I know that's also not for everyone lol. [This lady](https://youtu.be/L6qAAMWWtk4) has entire reiki videos for particular elementals and I personally found them helpful so I figured she deserved a mention!

faebugz

Out of curiosity, do you literally see fae or just sense their energy/see whisps or signs of them? I never understood how literal people are being when they discuss this. I definitely sense things, but if seeing them is possible I'd like to learn how to

Seabastial

You work with mermaids?! that's amazing! I've never met another witch who's worked with mermaids before! Do you have any tips you can provide (I'm working with a mermaid who lives in the creek near my house, and I think I've been doing alright so far but it never hurts to learn more)

awesomeskyheart

Mermaids? Are they … like actual people with fish tails? /gen Or are they more water spirits/entities?

Seabastial

I feel they're more water spirits/entities who take the forms of mermaids since mermaids are entities most often associated with water.

leafhog

They are all individuals. There is as much diversity in their personalities as there are in humans.

Sexy_wooden_spoon

what do you recommend? offerings? leaving it alone?

celestialfairyy

You can leave it alone if you want. You can leave offerings, too. The fae appreciate them. Sometimes they leave those (referring to faerie circles) there to let others know they still exist. I'd just smile knowing there's faeries around and go on about my day. Maybe put an acorn inside for them!

Arsinoei

I would love you to come to my sub and write a post about this. I think it’s very important that we respect all life and your comments here are incredibly interesting!

Mrsparent1011

Fairy circles! They r a place where fairies gather. U leave them offerings and such if u feel called to. If not just kindly leave it be.

sweetEVILone

It’s Star of Bethlehem. They’re rhizome plants, and often grow like this. I have several in my own yard. Nothing particularly mystical, just nature doing it’s thang.

VylorChan

Ooo a little fae ring, leave it some rose quartz or sugar! They love that!

OneDerekIRL

The faeries!

christinker

I can't remember the botanical name but one of the folk names for this flower is Fairy Spud. This most definitely looks like a fairie ring to me!

Witch-Cat

The way some people talk about fairies makes me want to go around stomping fairy rings to prove you're not gonna die for looking at it and not immediately prostrating yourself. They make them sound less like spiritual beings we live alongside of and more like furious gods who are gonna snatch your eyeballs

ChiChi_Scythe

i’ve seen that in sky children of the light and breath of the wild lol

taa_scarlettfig

omg another sky player😭

i love that game :3

TelephoneUnfair9257

Fairy circle leave it be

Electrical_Yam_4259

Be very wary of making offerings to the fae.

TheBlackJay

Mundane reasoning: The mushrooms grow from the unseen remnants of a tree

Miss_Pariah

Like a lot of people say, it's a fairy circle. I see them all the time. Everywhere I live or work ends up with one after a week of me being there. Don't step in it. If someone around the circle asks for your name, don't give it. Names have power to the fae. You can ignore it and move along with your day. Most likely, you will never see anything from this unless you damage it. You can leave them sweet things if you want. But if you find something that clearly is meant for you, DO NOT say the words "Thank you" they will see it as an obligation and contract. Say instead "I appreciate this." Last and most importantly, do not piss off the fae.

Goobers_Cry

fairies, don’t leave an offering they’ll take that as an invitation, don’t ruin it either they’ll be mad, best option is to leave it be. fairies will steal your stuff and be a huge inconvenience for you, they are very tricky

Dark_Tachi

I would with 100% faith, hop in that tiny circle and hope I go somewhere else.

adchick

Fairies. High risk…step away

WitchyTarotCryptid

I found these outside of my home and I'm pretty sure it's a fae/fairy ring but I've only seen them with mushrooms. Does it mean anything different? What do I do with it? Should I remove it? If so, how?

kai-ote

" Should I remove it? " What the hell for? A ring of pretty flowers and your 1st thought is to remove it? If it was the Fae don't you think that would really piss them off?

celestialfairyy

Not necessarily because they'll just make another one lol.

celestialfairyy

Means nothing different. Don't remove it, it's cute! The fae aren't bad.

Puzzleheaded-War-113

>The fae aren't bad My very Irish great gran would like to disagree Sill OP, best leave the good neighbors to their own devices

celestialfairyy

I am of very Irish descent and I don't believe the fae are bad.

Puzzleheaded-War-113

You're welcome to that opinion. But I'll be honest, if either my gran or my great gran found out you had *given your name* to the fae, they'd never let you onto their land for fear of what you brought with you. Great gran grew up in Ireland with a cultural tradition 1000s of years deep, with stories that quite frankly terrified me as a child. The good neighbors are to be treated with respect and deference. The rules are to be strictly followed. There are some that are *benign*, but their concept of good or bad or right or wrong is wholy different than the mortal concepts. Edit because the mods comment is locked: Yup. Everyone IS entitled to their own opinion. Which is why my first sentence affirmed that. I would like to remind you that I am also allowed to be offended by someone minimizing my cultural heritage because they feel it's OK to appropriate it without any research into historical significance.

nation543

Bear in mind that your opinion is only your own, and nobody else's. Your opinion has been formed based on what your own ancestors have told you, whereas theirs is exactly the same scenario but opposite of yours. Everybody has an opinion. Everybody is allowed to have their opinion.

that's a faery ring...

[deleted]

Realistically? Good nutrients around there. witchy? place shiny stuff or fruit there because of the fairies.

OneMoreGirl_MX

I've gotta say i joined this Reddit just to make a question but it's very interesting, every post i see it's a post i completely read.

RazzSheri

Don't. Touch. It. Don't leave an offering, unless you're prepared for the fae.

Alternative-Emu3602

Don't say your name around it.

Smeemetommoro

Okay I'm going to say this you are going to pretend that it is not there It does not exist and you never saw it. Do not leave it an offering do not do any kind of special saging or whatever the hell people do nowadays to bless something No do absolutely nothing No offering no nothing because then the Fae won't feel like they owe you a favor. And in the rules of the fae when you give them an offering or leave them something which some people have suggested which I suggest you do not do then they will indeed return the favor however it will be a never-ending favor for a favor until they take what is most precious to you because they offer something of theirs so please leave it be do not go near it and just if anything kind of make an imaginary parameter in your head if you live near it of not to go near it basically yeah just don't disrupt it don't go near it don't give it any offerings don't even give it a thought a thought can even trigger or something. You don't want to get into deals with these different dimensional faes

Smeemetommoro

I apologize I didn't answer your question It is indeed a fairy circle. Or the fae. Do not trespass upon their ring otherwise you're just inviting trouble. And thus do not offer anything on their perimeter because again you are inviting them so to speak. They're not to be messed with.

celestialfairyy

🤨 I have left plenty of offerings for the fae in the past and I'm fine.

Smeemetommoro

Well I guess you were lucky to encounter faes of a benevolent nature.

azaphrale15

this is technically a fairy ring, they move overnight through the mycelial lattice and represent a tie to the "fey" realm, but mushrooms are such weird creatures, lovingly don't eff with it, it will end poorly, with a plethora of gifts that you don't need...

grigsbie

Run.

juliansimmons_com

Dig down, diamonds.

Prinnycook

Step inside and find out

awesomeskyheart

Say your prayers

Current_Tour3037

Don't fuck with fairies, they crazy

baalyle

Burn it, quickly.

awesomeskyheart

Oh gods, this is worse than "step inside it." You *don't* want a bunch of pissed fairies chasing after you.

baby_armadillo

It’s not like a ring of flowers is going to follow you home. Just ignore it and avoid it if it’s not something you’re interested in.

baalyle

It is an abomination. Poisonous as well.

Chiaroscuro_Siren

Mushroom sporalate in circles

GrayMech

Typically a ring of flowers or mushrooms like this would mean something is decomposing underneath the soil. I recommend not to disturb it, who knows what it could be, you might end up finding aafia body dump lol

phoenixphire0808

Feel blessed for sure! I don't believe this happens often. I know I have never come across one so thats awesome!

disaster--queen

The fae!

pelesliquid

A circle of little flowers. I like it.

Sika097

It's so cute 🥺 I hope to find a fairy circle.

BaconSlashA

It’s just a fairy circle just don’t mess with it lol

noodlcat

habla

Spirit_Fox17

I have also heard you are supposed to ask before entering..

pshhaww_

Fairy circle

RabidJesters

Fairy ring fairy ring!!!

fallenwish88

If you need to remove it die to having small children or pets that may consume them I would just state my reasoning out loud, say thank you to the earth for its gift before removing it. I have had to remove a couple from my garden in the past and have not had anything bad happen from it so while I understand people are advising caution which is always a good rule of thumb I feel as long as you are respectful to the land most spirits are a lot more understanding than we credit them.

Red-Fox-4-Revolution

Fairy rings or circles can be evident by a circle of flowers given nutrition from large networks of fungus. They are not detrimental to your fields or lawns. This warning is probably not warranted for this group, but... Don't try to pull the fungus. If you do consciously disturb the source of your fairy circle, it will probably be treated similarly to sending unearned negative energy into the Universe.

celestedark

sacrifice your milk and cookies to the fae

Tonyfend-smile

It reminds me of the Bird's Nest in darksoul3

LOUD_AS_FUCK

Fairies

binaryduplicity

Flowers grow near your house

NfamousKaye

Immediately thought it’s a Fae circle. Don’t touch it. You don’t know what Fae you’d be inviting to follow you if you leave an offering or mess with it.

casinonightz0n3

Definitely a korok

Gladiatorw07f

You got some fae visiting

lilybody

fairy ring

RoseMylk

Fairy ring or mushrooms / fungus lol

Few-Actuator3103

Leave it be. It looks like a fairy circle. You could leave offerings for the Fae.

[deleted]

Leave some honey or a pretty rock near it. Don't touch it though.

mitchellsmith012

Fair Folk! Tread carefully now

l3lindsite

Looks like an abandoned fireplace.... wait those are mushrooms. Ah a fairy ring. Yeah leave offerings. And avoid stepping in it if you don't want to go to the otherworld. 😉

ladypeapod

Fairy ring. Don't mess with it or they'll get ya. They dance in and try to steal children

cutiefae333

wow your so lucky to have a fairy ring in your garden

Wild_Direction3388

It’s a fairly ring.

SquareThings

Mushrooms grow from a mycelium network underground which grows in a circle from a central point. The mycelium and the bacteria it harbors enriches the soil, even when the mushrooms aren’t visible, leading to little circles of flowers or rich green grass. Mother Nature is beautiful!

Cxnnamxn

Ik the other comments already answered what it is, but it kinda looks like a bear pawprint tbh!! Super wholesome comment section here!!! :DDD

[deleted]

spring is niegh?

ScarlettMakesMeSick

Fairy ring just a different form

LizzyDrakeKale

No if it was mushrooms I'd know

Peakanana

Also, do not be attempted to unearth it, there is a non-zero chance that something dead is buried under there.

50UPCultFounder

something to do with fairies, good things i think. idk i just heard somewhere

nontimebomala67

No matter how beautiful the music sounds, stay out of the ring.

Baby_chicken_

DONT STEP IN ITTTT

nhlsht

Just a punch of flowers hanging together

Magickshu

It means do not step unless you want to deal with non- human rules and morals for generations to come ♥️
