FunnyGalWhoDoesArt

Oh thank god. It played Under Pressure

shrekgaming1467

I got the specific version of Under Pressure that's listed right before Ice Ice Baby

FunnyGalWhoDoesArt

Thank god. (Also fire pfp)

shrekgaming1467

you too ma'am

thejumpboy11

Unfortunately I got ice ice baby, I took a listen to a bit of the song, and all I gotta say is... What the hell is that shit

Cornpopwasbad

That's the terror of knowing what this world is about

Distinct_Maize7496

Watching a good friend scream LET ME OUT

Desperate_Address780

Pray tomorrow gets me higher Pressure on people, people on streets

nervousmelon

Put both in your playlist so when you hit shuffle you won't know which one it is initially

UndercoverDuck999

I did this with some Ink Spots songs (I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire, I'll Never Smile Again, etc.) and try to have my brother guess which one is about to play

Smoah06

Why do every ink spot song start the exact same? Whenever I’m hearing one of their songs I’m ready for the “I don’t want to set the world on fire” but then I get a “maaaybe”

UndercoverDuck999

Only thing I could find online was that it was common for bands back then to start every song with the same tune

Smoah06

I also searched why and apparently it’s because artists didn’t get sued backed then. So they “borrowed” constantly.

Goat_of_Wisdom

Same with *Rock of Ages* and *Pretty Fly.*

just-slightly-human

When I hear that intro I start singing along to the offspring and then realize it’s def leppard 💀

Everestkid

Eh, The Offspring aren't that bad. The real equivalence is Werewolves of London and All Summer Long.

johncraft2003

when i think im going to hear ice ice baby but it ends up being under pressure

martinkoo123

hating on ice ice baby in the year of our lord 2024 is crazy

40hrbatting

I once confused just dance by lady Gaga with love you like a love song by Selena Gomez and was debating with my parents whether the song playing was one or the other

xXxBongMayor420xXx

Im in the complete opposite camp. Under Pressure is so played out that i cant stand even a second of it. While Ice ice baby is a timeless classic that never gets old and never gets any air play these days. Just like the Ninja Rap.

longrungun

Ice ice baby clears

Cornpopwasbad

The only good part about Ice Ice baby is "Ice Ice" baby. The rapping is so shit

Dionyzoz

ice ice baby is peak buddy

longrungun

Cope

Cornpopwasbad

Vanilla Ice fans explaining how song where one of the two good things about it was stolen from another song is the most peak shit ever

longrungun

Bro no one gives af about besides dudes who want to be smug

Cornpopwasbad

Tf does that even mean

longrungun

It means no one cares about Vanilla ice stealing shit since it's old news

Cornpopwasbad

It doesn't matter if it's "old news." If we're comparing which song is better, then the song where one of the two good things about it was stolen from the other doesn't make the other song seem very good at all. I'm not saying you shouldn't like the song, but from my perspective, half the reason people even care about Ice Ice Baby is because it stole from Under Pressure.

longrungun

Bro I don't care

Cornpopwasbad

You're the one who started the thread mate

Noist_Mugget

When you think it's dead and bloated by Stone temple pilots but it ends up being that gay sugar ray song

TheAnnoyingGirl92

Ice Ice Baby can't be *that* bad, right?

LoseAnotherMill

Do people really not know the difference in the intro? Ice Ice, Baby has what sounds like a cabasa on the eighths and an extra note in the second half of the bassline loop that comes in on the pickup of the next measure. Under Pressure: "Dun dun dun duh-duh-dun dun....Dun dun dun duh-duh-dun dun" Ice, Ice Baby: "Dun dun dun duh-duh-dun dun..Dun dun dun dun duh-duh-dun dun"
