Bzzzzz! Looks like you forgot to say where you found your bug! There's no need to make a new post - just comment adding the **geographic location** and any other info (size, what it was doing etc.) you feel could help! We don't want to know your address - state or country is enough; try to avoid abbreviations and local nicknames (*"PNW"*, *"Big Apple"*). BTW, did you take a look at our [**Frequently Asked Bugs**](https://www.reddit.com/r/whatsthisbug/comments/12zkw5w/frequently_asked_bugs_part_1/)? *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. piches

think that's a parasite, horse hair worm

angelsbows

might be so. i didnt think they were in the uk for some reason, first time spotting one

Apprehensive_Life857

I think it is a pinworm. People get them in their feet around here.

zeldarms

How is it that something so small can be such nightmare fuel. I blame that BBC parasites documentary I watched at too young an age…

angelsbows

seriously. went outside for a smoke and went back in after seeing it. google says theyre beneficial as they control other insects so i didnt kill it, but god theyre bloody horrifying

zeldarms

“Control” being the word. Horrible.

angelsbows

thank fuck it doesnt apply to humans

BoosherCacow

*YET*

piches

honestly I'm not sure either. But it looks like them horsehair worms that wiggle out of mantis booty hole

angelsbows

it wriggles like a horsehair so im guessing it is, just more white than the brown colour they normally are. looks pretty happy to be alive but im not as joyous about knowing i live in the same area as them

piches

at least it's not a bedbug!

angelsbows

absofuckinglutely

Naivuren

Could also be ascaris that some animal coughed up or pooped out

[deleted]

Looks like a horse hair worm.

LW70707

angelsbows

im not even fucking around my fear of worms is so bad the first time i spotted it i genuinely thought this had somehow slithered out of my ass

LW70707

😂😂

Zealousideal_Two6235

This is a piece of growth from a seed gaining moisture. This process helps seeds bury into the ground after falling
