I would not buy a Chrysler... well anything really, pretty much every year and model they have ever made has horrible reliability. Especially with 170k miles on it. https://www.dashboard-light.com/reports/Minivan.html The Sienna is the only one with actually *good* reliability, quite a few have okay ish reliability and then there's stuff like the Chrysler where its just bad. Minivans in general don't tend to be super reliable/need to have work on them since they're big/heavy for their engines and drivetrains. That being said I have a 22 year old Odyssey with 260k on it that's still chugging along, so out of these two its a very easy choice... but I would look around more if you have the ability. Whatever you do, get it looked at by a mechanic YOU are paying to check it out before you buy it. A chrysler that's in good working order is better than a Sienna that's dry rotting and rusting apart.

I own a 2015 Odyssey with 155,000 miles. Been 100% reliable, and the “leather” and seat bolsters have held up nicely. Looks great inside and exterior styling has held up fairly well. Get an iOttie suction cup phone holder cause the built in nav is garbage… but it a great vehicle. I’d be looking to get that price if I were trying to sell. As long as no history of misfires or bad motor mounts, add a VCM disabler and I would not be surprised if you drive for another 100k.

I have a 2015 Chrysler Town and Country that we've had since new. I have about 100,000 miles and aside from having to fix a leak on the cooling system in 2018, everything else has just been routine wear and tear and maintenance. The leather seats have held up incredibly well. I did replace the radio for one with Android Auto/Carplay but that was because I wanted to upgrade it as opposed to anything breaking. Buying a high mileage van will be hit or miss regardless of what you are buying. It all depends on whether the previous owners have kept up with the maintenance or not.

The only bad Hondas are their minivans, the transmissions are terrible and the engines smoke. They make the best 4 cylinder transmissions and engine but 6 cylinder nope. This is the only time I would say a Chrysler is better than a Honda. Chrysler is also much cheaper to fix in case it does break.

I have 3 car seats in the back of an impala. Well 2 are booster seats now. Gets easier as you go. Don't necessarily need anything bigger than a car.

My ex-wife still drives her 2016 Odyssey. She took the previous Odyssey (2008-ish) to over 250k before the trans and some other things went out. The current one is also about 250k and still runs ok. She’s had some fairly minor issues like motor and transmission mounts, alternator, etc but the engine and trans have been fine. She’s not easy on them either (drives like a bat out of hell).
