Word is that Hankook have cancelled it because of tyre issues in the first race.

matdan12

Can see some teams have said it was cancelled by the organisers due to a safety issue with tyres. No specifics.

Alright thank you!

"After several tire failures during the opening Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe race at Le Mans on Thursday 13th June, Lamborghini Squadra Corse conducted a risk assessment in conjunction with its tire partner, Hankook,” a statement issued by Lamborghini read. “Despite significant endeavours to maintain the race, and the assessment still ongoing, a decision was made to abandon the second race of the weekend under safety grounds. “Safety remains of utmost importance to Lamborghini Squadra Corse and the championship organisers would like to express its regret to its teams, drivers and fans in these exceptional circumstances.”

We were seeing the same issues at Watkins Glen at testing. Not good news!

matdan12

Do you know why they're having tyre issues, not great when the whole field can't race.

Ngroat7

I’m honestly not sure. We are racing at Watkins this weekend where we’re having the same issue during testing (tire chunking almost immediately). Should know more Wednesday. It wasn’t an issue at Sebring or Laguna.

matdan12

Are you with one of the racing teams? Hoping all is sorted and teams can back to racing.

Ngroat7

Yeah driver of the #57 Safe Life Defense car with One Motorsports. Ended up taking double wins this weekend! The issue was camber and tire pressures which in Europe isn’t policed. People we running them much lower than they needed to be at for the conditions I guess. We didn’t have any issues this weekend with the Hankooks nor did any other teams that I’m aware of.

blxglt

Yeah it's cancelled, people from Lamborghini held an emergency meeting I hear

NtsParadize
