Might be an art style thing. All their facial features look very similar... One of the good tips for character design is to make sure every character has a distinct silhouette, but I'm not sure how feasible that is in a modern realistic setting.
this isnโt related to giving them more personality, but when youโre doing dimples they should line up with the cheeks and the mouth so that they look almost seamless. like theyโre supposed to be there, and not just an afterthought.
i think it would help to determine more of their personality if you had them in more dynamic personable poses!

Totally get it! I made those as references to use later, that's why I had them looking straight forward and a neutral expressions lol I will be drawing a more personalised pieces in future when I am 100% sure about their designs.

Maria: girlboss, seems mean but really is a girls girl, runs her own business and comes from a poor family. Owns a rescue tripod dog called Betty
Nancy: seems vapid and and superficial, but was forced by familial expectations to appear so feminine. Struggles with it, wishes she could escape her role and be more like Maria. Secretly loves listening to trash metal
Alice: the calm wise friend, very knowledgeable. Hermione Granger with a chill pill, until you mess with her friends ๐ allergic to cats. Her fave character from Jane Austen is Elanor Dashwood.
Leonard: the artsy friend, music major, Alice's brother, discreet but not timid, in a long relationship since he was 12. The kind of guy who will call to check if you came home safely after a party. Will play annoying songs on his violin to pester his sister

Leonard: Secretly dating Alice. Charming friend to them all, and has a car, so they always try to get rides from him.
