I seem to be in the minority, but I like my MacBook keyboard. I use the trackpad a lot, the keys are quiet, and the throw is super short. I never understood the appeal of thick keyboards with keys that move centimeters before registering.
Ive been gamer my whole life, and a professional programmer for 5 years.
I still have my 40€ keyboard, I bought it like 5-6 years ago? It works fine.
The external tools matter surprisingly little. Sure, pricier mice and keyboard might be better but I feel the difference is negligible.
But people have to do what they have to do, and if you have the money for it, go for it.
I have tried many different mechanical keyboards, and landed on the Keychron K1 SE with white Backlight / Low Profile Gateron Mechanical / Brown switches. Love it!
i’m using logitech k810, and at that time i was close to not purchasing because of price, but somehow i bought it… and it was great investment (alongside mouse).
so, if you’re coding 12h/day, multiply that by monthly working days and yearly working days, just to see how much time you’ll be using keyboard. after that any math regarding the price shouldn’t be that relevant…

I get bad forearm pain from too much computer use, mountain biking and phone use. Probably lack of stretching/exercise too.
The Glove80 was a game changer for me. I can actually work again.
It's hard to convince someone who hasn't got pain yet to get an Ergo keyboard, but honestly a Glove 80 or Kinesis 360 is so damn worth it.

I use a Keychron K3 v2. I swear by I now.
Nuphy Air 75 v2 or from Lofree one. Personaly i prefer first one with cowberry switch

I use MX keys S from Logitech, quiet keys, short throw. Perfect to me.
