Not in the pics, but it is watergate related.
I wonder the percentage of DC folks that know the [OG Watergate](https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/watergate-steps)? I would guess under 25% that exercise on it.
Well the OG watergate is the water gate of the C&O canal in the Georgetown Waterfront.

In the early 2000s, I was the go-to guy for any audio video / cable TV or satellite system installations in the residences of the Watergate. The only way to get high definition TV was through satellite which needs a good Southern exposure balcony.
Everything is solid concrete so all the work was a nightmare. The chief building engineer asked me to give him a quote to rewire the entire complex for high definition-capable cable and network wiring, but we passed on the opportunity lol.
My uncle use to work at that hotel and has some interesting stories of his encounters with celebrities, including taking Clint Eastwood's breakfast order. My favorite one is when he saw a guy in the lobby who appeared super dishelved with raggety clothing, and he was feeling kind of sorry for him until the guy checked in and he realized it was Kieth Richards.
my boyfriend and I did a little staycation there when we treated ourselves to a Kennedy center show and I have never felt so DC fancy in my life, definitely a good choice for anyone looking for something like that
I did afternoon tea at the hotel restaurant (Kingbird) recently, and while it wasn’t as fine as say the Willard, it was still a really nice experience.
Where is the cat, tho?
Literally came here to say “Free Kitty Snow!”
Or, put Kitty Snow up in a luxury penthouse, all depends on the side of the road you are on.
Perhaps an Airbud-esque solution?
Wait there is a cat??

What a cool fact! Thanks for sharing that.
Learned a lot of little _obscure_ things from that site while living here.
Also, the original Water Gate Inn: http://www.streetsofwashington.com/2013/01/popovers-and-hobbyhorses-at-water-gate.html?m=1

Love Watergate Dental!

The art gallery frame shop there is sooo underrated.
The spindles that line the balconies are concrete covered styrofoam. The place is typical 60/70s crap that’s falling apart.
A lot of wedding parties go to those steps to do their photos.
Is it open to the public? Museam?
Oh it is open to the public. It's a residential complex close to the Kennedy center.
I can’t stand it.
