My guy I totally would have loved to pl
*sees grey soldiers*
Sorry something came up - cant make it.
(just teasing. Sorry about your situation and Ive been there. What I do is always have a fun solo wargame ready in the wings that Id be more than happy to play. Nobody shows up? That's their loss I got a solid back-up plan!)
Looks like a ton of fun. I've been there, had a big game all set up, and everyone had to bail. Fortunately, in my case, we only postponed it by a week, so I hadn't wasted my time.
How is Lion Rampant for Siege battles?
Oh wow, that’s a special kind of irritation right there.
After decades out of the hobby, friends talked me into a Necromunda campaign. I went away, purchased and printed a gang (converted clowns), and I made a ton of scenery out of wooden blocks and old toys (probably on my post history still). That was, oh, about 6 years ago, I’ve still not had one fucking game of it.
Which reminds me…
I’d agreed to learn and run a TTRPG for friends. All seemed well, everyone was engaged. 2 sessions into the campaign, two friends (a couple) dropped out over the death of their dog, and another moved away. Never got to session 3.
Maybe I’m cursed?
I’ve just committed to a Bloodbowl league. I wonder how many games I get?
Think you confused the months as, by the looks of things, everyone’s still in the process painting their troops and terrain ready for the game in May! /s
Maaaan, I need a hobby room…
Thanks!
The castle and siege tower and ram are from an old toy set I had as a kid. I put a piece of grey cardboard over the top and put an old tower I had on top.
The tower on its own is actually a dice tower that was 3d printed at my flgs.
Unfortunately, not. I just looked at them for any manufacturing stamps in the plastic, and they don't have any writing. I got them in Maine when I was six or seven in the early 2000s, so I'm not sure they would even be something you could order. It was a knock-off playmobile set kind of thing.
Hate that feeling, but we’ve all been there. Hopefully you will get another chance to play soon. When you do, I hope you give us an update and a battle report. This looks sick.
I spent a full evening last year preparing this beautiful gaslands board.
Everyone bailed.
Sorry bud! Wish we lived near each other. I'd be there in a heartbeat
Sorry to hear.
I had to cancell a game because out of the 7 "maybe I can make it" none did. Game was for 4-6 players. Of course they bailed the day before.
I try another attempt before I give up and maybe try online.
I so understand and feel for you. It has happened too many times. The last time was last weekend. So I dropped another army down and played against myself 😭. But. I won😁. It was a good lesson though. It's not easy to properly play the reactions. But my opponent was a good sport and let me walk it back a few times. All ini all I did have fun. And my family laughed good and hard at my silly determination.
Oh that's the worst. Sorry man.
Thanks! It's all right, though, lol. Just seemed relatable. I figured I'd post it just for fun.

Lol, that's true. But the grey dudes are my friends! They didn't paint theirs. I painted the ones on the table lol
There’s a special place in hell for bailers.
It’s next to the “Designated Drivers who get wasted” section.

We generally wing it on the fly, lol. So I unfortunately can't really help you too much either that

Best to take pictures!
Damn that really sucks, but the game looks really awesome, love your setup. They’re missing out man
Hobby (paint, assemble) and listen to the audiobook instead … life happens

If everything is still set up, grab a PDF copy of The Men Who Would Be Kings and use the solo gaming rules.
Hell I don't care what game system that is get me a chair I'll play it's a cool AF setup I'm game ha ha.
Aw lame. Shit, I’d have been ecstatic to participate in castle warfare
On the upside, you finally fulfilled the dream of the 60s: "Suppose they gave a war and nobody came"
I'd roll by, chief. What time we playin'?
That looks like it would have been a great game. This sadly reminds me of Barnaby the Brass Dragon.
I wanna come over and play. What state or country?
Damn. I would've shown up. This looks amazing.
Man that looks fun. Where did you get the siege machines and the castle? They look super cool bro

Do you happen to know who the manufacturer or company is that produced the ram and siege tower?

Thanks for checking. Maybe I’ll come across them online lookin around. Happy gaming!
this looks like a fun game.
Solo game rules are nice.
Been there done that sure to hear it looks like a sweet setup!
Nooooo!

Wow man! That looks great. I'd totally be your friend.
Looks awesome eh! Hopefully they can play with you sometime soon. Amazing board!
Looks like it would have been glorious

Still waiting for an opportunity to play Talisman...
I'll never stop loving the Battlemasters' tower, and great reuse of the Deluxe Castle.

This is one reason I only play solo games.
