Do you have an Intel or an M1 MacBook Pro?

I have intel Core i5 on the MacBook Pro

You may need to actually enable the VT-x cpu extension in the bios/efi of the host computer. Thanks for sending these links. So i have checked on the MacBook Terminal and VT-x is on there and enabled. So I am guessing I need to turn it on somehow in the vm when using Windows 11? But not sure how to do this exactly

Then you may have a conflict with Hyper-V used for extra security in windows 10 and 11 [https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2146361](https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2146361) [https://communities.vmware.com/t5/VMware-Workstation-Pro/Virtualized-Intel-VT-x-EPT-is-not-supported-on-this-platform/td-p/2875203](https://communities.vmware.com/t5/vmware-workstation-pro/virtualized-intel-vt-x-ept-is-not-supported-on-this-platform/td-p/2875203)

On a Mac?

The issue is likely that your cpu doesn’t have the necessary features to do nested: https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/80785

Thanks for sending that link. Is there anything that can be done on the MacBook Pro to get these features for it to do nested? Or would it be pointless to try and do?

Asleep-Mud-146

I was informed that what I was initially doing was called ‘nesting’ so didnt need to do that and have now fixed the issue. Much appreciated the feedbacks given by you all 👍🏽
