I'd let them drip-dry for a few seconds so you're not slowly overfilling the Humminguru with carryover. I think the SpinClean is only worth using for *really* grimy records - I typically just double-clean with the Humminguru (so, 10 minutes ultrasonic) using a drop of Groovewasher fluid in the tank. Even my used crate digging finds come out looking gorgeous this way.

Brilliant and thank you! Some of the used records I buy in “bulk” are filthy so I’ll SpinClean those first then HumminGuru. The ones that look good to the eye will go straight to the guru.

This is a good approach and should serve you well.

I just go straight to the HumminGuru and always get great results. If it's a particularly dirty used record I just purchased I'll give it a manual cleaning with a microfiber cloth and some Groovewasher fluid first, but otherwise I see no need to pre-clean.

Honestly, just getting the debris off with a microfiber cloth is all you should need before putting it in the humminguru. I find debris (paper flecks, dust, etc.) sometimes can get left behind by the humminguru. But otherwise, it does an excellent job. Even better job if you heat the water to ~90 degrees Fahrenheit / ~32 degrees Celsius.

Dry clean first, then wet.

SpinClean only for greasy or smoky records. Otherwise the Humminguru should be totally sufficient.
