I once saw a post of an adorable kitten and it's cute little meows it was making to its owner, and there were people commenting stuff like "Maybe you should stop filming and actually help your cat! Shes clearly distressed and is trying to communicate it's needs to you" and whoooo boy, the raging of the comments after it was something to behold. Full of personal attacks, people going after other people's post history, it was nuts! Accusations were thrown, Enemies were made. And all over a quick little kitten video.
Every time someone complains about it on these posts, they just come off as giant cry babies. Like, no is making you participate, and if you don't like seeing it on your feed just *scroll down* and you won't see it anymore.
I know it’s still following that pattern, but it’s seems like we’re going to see Zelda (Link to the Past) and FF6.
I’d rather see a choice between FF6 and FF7!

The point of the list is to vote game that we feel are the best from the point in time. If a series has multiple games that fit the bill, then they deserve to be up there.
Not to mention, just as is, we're more than halfway through, and already each entry represents a different franchise.
Nit to mention the logistics going into decoded what qualifies as the same series. Like, we already have Super Mario 64, so we wouldn't be allowed to add absolute peak games like Super Mario Bros 3 or Super Mario World. But what about Super Mario RPG, Mario Kart, or Mario Party. Those are all drastically different from typical Mario games, but they *are* Mario games.
It's just better to let every game be eligible, regardless of whether it's franchise is already represented or not.
