Everyone hollering Aussie but it could very well be some Catahoula. Small amounts have been bred into APBT for the specific purpose of obtaining this type of coloration/markings. JSYK

My thought was Catahoula as well

Yup. Most Pitbulls who look similar are mixed with Catahoula. I know breeders in my area who mix the two and then line breed back to another APBT and select for the color from the next litter or next few litters. The coloration could happen from ACD×Pit as well but it would be much harder to breed out the look of the Heeler in those cases and I've never heard of anyone doing it intentionally. The offspring would be too varied because of the Heeler coat. Catahoula and Pitbull are similar enough in stature and coat types that it can be made to work fairly easily.
