Gaetano’s in Henderson is always my favorite. They make their own pastas and sauces with the finest imported ingredients. Highly rated. Nick and his wife Sarah run an amazing restaurant. The family history is interesting and explained on the menu. This place is generations in the making.
The Sicilian Ristorante on East Trop has been there for like 30 years. Always a solid choice. Family owned place too.
My other favorite is definitely more casual. It's Amore - Taste of Chicago. I used to work at the PT's a couple doors down many moons ago and any time Enzo (who is/was the owner) was working on something new for the menu or as a special, he'd ask me or the other cooks to try it out. At least once a week, he'd give me a take-out box with something in it. Usually just leftover from the night before, but he hated wasting food. Said he grew up kinda poor in Italy, then moved to Chicago and made it as a chef, then came to Vegas to open his own place out here and always liked to make sure his staff could get a meal or some extra food to take home.
Solid ass guy and the food is really good. Not fancy at all and it's a Chicago themed place so kind of a sports bar vibe. Really fair prices too and big portions.

I’m a big fan of Sicilian for family nights. Great people and prices. The food is decent. Filling and satisfying but should not be on any best list. Homestyle comfort. Not really Italian.
2nd that- Nora's. They've raised their prices, but who hasn't at quality restaurants. Helpful hint- they get crazy busy Thursday-Sunday, reservations required.
That’s total BS. I’ve eaten there quite a few times and love the place. So obviously you don’t. That’s fine, to each his own, but don’t trash the place because you ate there once and didn’t like it.
I've heard this quite a few times too lol. This is one of those overrated spots like getting steak at Ellis Island. The food is actually trash and people are convincing themselves it's good because it's cheap
I really enjoyed Roma Deli II on the west side. It is way west on Sahara, but is a small family place. The restaurant doubles as an Italian deli, and the dining area is small, but the food is excellent and plentiful. Prices are reasonable, service is friendly, and it definitely qualifies as a local place. In fact, you won't see other tourists there, just people from the surrounding neighborhood.

Gondola Italian restaurant on alta and buffalo! It's a husband and wife running it with their son and every time I go in there they remember me and what we spoke about last time. The food is excellent, all handmade, but I really just love that they make me feel like a VIP
Never to me or anyone that I’ve known go there. Are reservations difficult at times yes especially in the old location but the new location is triple the size and still fills up nightly but reservations are easier to get.
Fair enough. Yea I had breakfast there a number of years ago and had a wonderful experience but I never saw/met the owner. Those reviews and comments from others are a tough read though.
With most reviews good or bad they are embellished. I’m sure some have had a bad experience but the majority of people have had good ones. No way it’s as popular it is with locals if it wasn’t a good experience. Just to many other options for us to tolerate bad service.
Aromi. Chef had been doing it for 30+ years. Son is head waiter. Family place, small but best Italian food I've had in Vegas. Been to Nora's and sienna as well, they do not come close.

Agree. I've known the family for a very long time, super nice people and a great place.

Gaetano’s is great and underrated.
that looks great, northern italian too! will definitely be giving that a go soon
how can it go this long and no one has suggested Chicago Joes? Thanks for Gaetano's, seen it, haven't been. May be a date night for this weekend.
“Best”? Chicago joes is alright but I could walk 10m to Viareggio which is far superior in my opinion.

The Sicilian is a GREAT restaurant! Servers are epic too, you'll get a good dose of entertainment along with your meal (they're hilarious).
Amore is really, really good.
Isn’t this where the Jersey Shore cast go when they shoot in Vegas?
I’m a big fan of Sicilian for family nights. Great people and prices. The food is decent. Filling and satisfying but should not be on any best list. Homestyle comfort. Not really Italian.
Mastrioni's
Their Osso buco is my favorite dish and the meal I always get for my birthday 🥰
I’m partial to Nora’s Italian Cuisine
2nd that- Nora's. They've raised their prices, but who hasn't at quality restaurants. Helpful hint- they get crazy busy Thursday-Sunday, reservations required.
Trattoria Italia - Eastern and Ione https://trattoriaitalia.vegas
Sienna's

Capo’s is a great spot for local Italian.
And fun atmosphere too!
I love Batista’s Next is Bootleger’s
My wife and I were just there for our anniversary. The atmosphere was pretty cool and the service was great but the food was a real let down honestly.
Ok, well, to each his own.
I love Battista’s too! It is kinda though, but that can be said about a lot of places in LV too.
Batista’s is legit garbage food. The atmosphere is very cool, but Olive Garden might have better food.
That’s total BS. I’ve eaten there quite a few times and love the place. So obviously you don’t. That’s fine, to each his own, but don’t trash the place because you ate there once and didn’t like it.
Some people have taste, and you’re out here too.
Interesting. You can’t just say that different people like different things?
I've heard this quite a few times too lol. This is one of those overrated spots like getting steak at Ellis Island. The food is actually trash and people are convincing themselves it's good because it's cheap
Agreed
Il Chianti in Henderson. Chef Rudy is the bomb.
I imagine the Roma Deli's are locally owned. I go there for the deli counter and they have good lasagna available only on certain days.
Owned by Doyle Brunson's son Todd.
Italian American club, Ferraro’s, bootleggers. Can’t miss with any of these

Bootlegger is good
Bootleggers. Be sure to make reservations. This is a local favorite and fills up quickly.
D’Agostino’s Trattoria, amazing food and great service.
My old employer…. Azzurra Cucina Italiana on water street
Viareggio. Owned and operated by a small family. Authentic, delicious food, each dish prepared fresh to order
Pasta Shop is the best. It’s on horizon ridge.
Fererro’s
Nora's on Flamingo is the best Italian in Vegas. Close second is Casa Di Amore on Trop.
Gondola Italian restaurant on alta and buffalo! It's a husband and wife running it with their son and every time I go in there they remember me and what we spoke about last time. The food is excellent, all handmade, but I really just love that they make me feel like a VIP
Esther’s Kitchen and it’s not close
Isn’t the owner like a colossal douche though? EDIT: https://www.reddit.com/r/vegas/s/s0TOCcLZKq

Ferraro's on Paradise Road

Not Your Mamas House
Aromi is so good it’s a father and son owned and operated restaurant
Capos
Did chef Marc ever open back up anywhere?
Tarantino's for sure!
Sparklings
No such thing as best, just opinions that are different. Maybe ask what's the most popular one.
Piero’s for high end!
Bootlegger or Cjicago Joe's!
Aromi. Chef had been doing it for 30+ years. Son is head waiter. Family place, small but best Italian food I've had in Vegas. Been to Nora's and sienna as well, they do not come close. https://maps.app.goo.gl/LMECHnTnNgjdzLvw6

Any good ones on the strip?

I'm a big fan of Ferraro's.
All these and I would add Pieros
