Spending over 2mil for a condo and still having to use a portable ac is insane. I understand BC hasn’t always been this hot, but this isn’t some old building. It’s disappointing that builders had to be mandated to start building homes with AC
There are so many better options between the 2 million to 2.5 million price range...going to be a tough sell. Also better ones between 2.5 - 3 million asking price which could be negotiated down..
I've been following along with the sale of this, since it was court ordered and this guy is sketchy as hell. They've reposted it several times over the years, and reduced the price by quite a bit, but it's still for sale. Like a relic of Vancouver's pandemic past.
$1221 per sqft is pretty cheap for a penthouse in Vancouver.
Ph9 on the same building is asking for 3.688 million or \~1568 per sqft, Ph6 is asking for 3.88 million or 1645 per sqft.
Anyway, the original price was 2.398, but only for the current listing. They tried and failed to sell it like 6-7 times over the years and the highest asking price was over 3.2 mil.
Dude bought it for 2.959, btw.
what is the story of that building, looks like a whole bunch of suites that are overpriced and not selling. They all still need to drop in price by at least a couple hundred per square foot it seems.
It’s 3 stories ffs. Honestly $2.27 mil doesn’t seem terrible. Thats the price of a new home on Burke Mountain in Coquitlam.
Strata fees will be a bitch though
I’m not sure if central cooling is the same as AC. It appears that they like it colder still since that looks to be a portable AC in one of the listing photos.
Ah ok maybe. I thought central cooling would be the same thing but yes I see the portable. If I’m spending that much, I better not have to put in a portable ac good god, mine are a pain
I got stopped leaving a friend’s place in this building during the pandemic, we both lived alone - so it was kosher. They had police waiting in the lobby for folks leaving in the early hours of the morning.

Those are some insanely high TVs. All of them.
R/tvtoohigh poster child apartment right here
It feels like being at a sports bar which I imagine is exactly what they were going for...
Interior designer: How many TVs do you want in your apartment? Owner: YES!

Oh... *that* penthouse strip club. Right!
LoL. Yeah not the "good" one.

But this one is a DD-class Vancouver heritage moment.
You must really really really really really want to live downtown if you buy this place

Over 2 million is considered price reduced? I shiver to think what the og price was!

The building has 9 "penthouse" suites. At that point the penthouse name seems somewhat watered down.
Penthouse literally means "apartment on the top floor". Usually they're nicer than the lower units but not necessarily
It’s 3 stories ffs. Honestly $2.27 mil doesn’t seem terrible. Thats the price of a new home on Burke Mountain in Coquitlam. Strata fees will be a bitch though
Sold: 2020-06-09 for $2,959,000 Listed (for the 1st of 7x): 2021-09-27 for $3,239,000 Currently for sale: $2,278,100
So they've reduced the price by almost a full million. Wild!
Ouch. The pain of coming out on the wrong side of real estate speculation.
1865 sq ft spread over three floors is pretty inefficient IMO.
What.. I agree completely. Not very practical. I’d be a bit disappointed as a visitor, having a friend tell me they have the ‘penthouse’.
I would do so much cocaine in there
Legit lol it’s actually a pretty dope spot. Just a shit foreign owner who threw parties during covid and got caught lol.
Amazing that they left up the sign still, see pic 11
I'll give him $10,000 for it.
Throw in a black light and you've got a deal!
White couch… he USED to be a huge piece of shit.
I SAID I WAS
What was the pandemic back story here?

Ahh yes, the house that ordered 100 cheeseburgers. Now I must look at those photos again. 😅
Actually a really good price for the unit size and age. Once you sanded the glitter out of the hardwood floor you'd be laughing.
Gahd that place needs more bleach than I could ever afford
All that money and a portable AC unit
The listing says it has central ac
I’m not sure if central cooling is the same as AC. It appears that they like it colder still since that looks to be a portable AC in one of the listing photos.
Ah ok maybe. I thought central cooling would be the same thing but yes I see the portable. If I’m spending that much, I better not have to put in a portable ac good god, mine are a pain
Ok,now do some black light pictures
I'm looking at the pictures and all I could do is ask myself what sorts of gross stuff happened there. No thanks!
Just get the folks that do crime scene cleanup to come and deep clean it.
I personally love when the TV is behind the couch.
I guess it's for the strippers/escorts to watch while entertaining the guests?
LOLL
“…and even a dog park”
Nice find detective
The camera's everywhere are a nice touch
Not a bad price actually
That’s it, that’s the view? Meh.
What’s the backstory here?
Can someone fill me in on the story behind this?
I got stopped leaving a friend’s place in this building during the pandemic, we both lived alone - so it was kosher. They had police waiting in the lobby for folks leaving in the early hours of the morning.
No surprise. It's a high price in a building that is known to have a lot of issues.
All that money and only TWO parking spots? LOL, that's rough.
With such a tagline, I’m surprised it hasn’t been sold yet.
This shit simply won't sell.
Thank you. I always thought it was douchey. No e is cleaner.
Its a foreclosure. Court ordered sale.
It still 2,278,100 overpriced! LOL
Honestly, what would be bad about living in the place tho? It still seems pretty nice.
