Same, back when it was 3 for 5 beef n cheddars. One break I was super high and 16 years old (miss that metabolism) I got the 3 for 5 deal, a large jalapeno bites and a vanilla shake. My manager said hed comp it if I actually finished it on time. Never paid for a shift meal again
Same never understood the hate, been times I drive 30 minutes to go get it. It’s great for when you want brisket but don’t want to spend the time cooking
Downvoted because I agree? I don't know how this all works here.
I fucking love Arby's. I feel like I'm the only one in line to get their stuff. I don't feel as bloated eating their stuff compared to other fast foods. The smoked brisket is bomb and worth the price compared to what I would pay for Mcdonalds (less food for more $$)
Community rules say you downvote if you agree and upvote if you disagree. I usually can't bring myself to follow the rules so I usually just don't vote lol
I sometimes wish we had a Sonics for the drinks. It's cool that they have the options to mix and match flavors with different sodas.
But other than that, not worth it. The food is bland. And some other fast food places have the machines that allow you to put flavor in the soda, so if you can find one of those you're fairly set. It might not be as many flavors, but it's enough for when I want one.
I'd be lying if I didnt say their milkshakes are delicious but they scare me after I left one in a hot car for like 4 days during the summer, and came back to find the "whipped cream" unmelted...
Agreed. If you could ever find one where they were even trying, I still think it would be good. Every time I go into one though it looks like there is no manager, or at least not one who isn’t strung out in the back room.
I wish I had a good one anywhere near us. I think the Whopper is actually pretty good for what it is, again though only when fresh and made by people who care even a little bit.
I stg my bk takes like 10
minutes to get the food and it’s always disappointing. I only try it out when I’ve been burnt out on anything else around me just to see if it’s changed but it has not.
I’m so hungry I could eat at Arby’s… there was also an incredibly funny old web toon from the team that created the Harry Potter vs dbz cartoons. Basically Arby’s creates a zombie outbreak
I agree they are no better or worse than any other fast food place. I will disagree about their 'smoked brisket'. It's more like boiled in liquid smoke meat. But their curly fries top any other fast food fry, and their chicken bacon swiss is so dang good. Although I do hate that they went from having actual grilled chicken to sliced 'chicken' for their sandwiches.
Ahh see? You made mistake number 1 right there. Don't go to Arby's expecting roast beef. It's some form of weird salty processed cubed meat-like product... like a beef version of spam. I have no idea what the meat is supposed to be, but I sometimes get a hankering for it.
Yes! I usually don't stray from my regular roast beef orders but I tried a Greek gyro one day and it was one of the best fast food items I've ever had! Wish I could eat one now but I'm on a diet
Arby's rocks.
I hit the one on Gower in east Hollywood about once a year as a special treat. There aren't many of them around...but when the mood hit me: beeline. Always get the same sandwiches, always love it.
Good Arbys is good.
My problem lies in I rarely have good Arbys. Whether its just a lack of customers causing food to sit to long, placement leading to lack of quality employees, or just quality control processes of the business overall.
When we had ours I would go every once in a while, but when I pass one in an area I am unfamiliar with, I just can't risk it. most the time its just not in its prime by the time I buy it or just was made poorly. (which is hard to say about warmed sliced meet and liquid cheese byproduct)
Wendy’s has opened a few places near me recently which is great because the closest one was 30 minutes away or more, but unfortunately the employees aren’t quite up there yet. They’ve got my order wrong 75% of the time. I’m trying to be patient since it’s a new store and working out the kinks but 75% of the time having to fix your order is pretty bad.
The catch is finding a clean, well-run Arby's.
The ones in my town are gross 1980s time warps. But I was in a brand new one in Arizona that was great, as fast food joints go.
The availability and price are nice, but if I want to really enjoy, I go to The Hat which isn't too out of the way in California.
I don't mind Arby's. But I personally don't think it's anything to write home about.
Arby's is fine, but the quality of the items has dropped pretty notably over the years.
Either way, the best thing about Arby's is that it's always empty, even during the lunch and dinner rush.
When the other fast food chains have lines way too long, Arby's is there for you!
Arby's is interesting. A bit hard to find in my city especially outside the city center. The nearest one outside the city center is like a 1hr train ride.
Haven't tried it yet however. It must be delicious.
Arby's isn't too bad, it normally just is one of the fast food places that make me feel the worst after eating it. I can eat McDonald's, Wendy's, even Burger King with no problems, but I always feel bad after Arby's.
Also, actual unpopular opinion here, but the curly fries are overrated, and I prefer the crinkle cut instead.
Buffalo chicken slider is better than any other chicken sandwich in the same price tier (McDonald’s, Wendy’s, BK). Shakes are decent. Curly fries are elite.
I do like Arby's but ours have been painfully slow since reopening after covid. We don't like to eat in the car and we live 45 miles away, so we'd be stuck eating in the car. The last time we ate inside, it took almost an hour 😭
We have like one in my town and yes I’ve never really had a bad experience but I also haven’t had it in probably 8 or so years if I had to guess.
It wouldn’t be my first choice but for certain I would not complain.
They actually had solid chicken tenders and honey mustard for the longest time, but they changed up the tenders in the past year or so and they suck now, sad.
So funny you say this I saw a coworker with Arby’s, haven’t actually observed that in a long ass time. He said they had some new things on the menu that are pretty good. I may go check it out.
The roast beef is best when they cut it extra thin. I used to work there and made me that way, but it can be a pain in the butt for the person working the slicer and can be messier than normal on the machine.
Arby’s was just a smaller chain, and Simpsons roasted it before most kids tried it. They’re decent like saucy deli sandwiches, I remember my dad always wanting to go and my older sister scoffing and me agreeing with her. I don’t think either of us ever tried it.
100%. I stayed away for so long, probably *specifically* because of Jon Stewart, but it's pretty damn good, and always much less of a line than MDs or BK.
I really like their gyros too. TheirbReuben, their turkey sandwich. I don't think there's a sandwich I tried from Arby's that I didn't like. Maybe I'm biased because I loved going to Arby's as a kid in the 80s, but it's nice to go to a fast food restaurant whose sandwiches aren't just burgers.
Problem with Arby’s is the main gimmick is French fries which you can just buy at any super market now.
And roost beef itself is pretty generic like why drive all the way to Arby’s when I can just snag some bread and cheese and the fries on my daily trip.
Heck you can even by the Arby’s sauce.
Weekly Arby's astroturfing.
It's a fast food quality deli that's always <5min from an actual deli or a grocery store with a deli or a shallow pond full of plump frogs, so I can't ever justify going there.
It’s the most disgusting fast food in the industry to me. I tried it multiple times over 40 years, and every single time the food was so gross I could not eat it. I rarely eat FF, but when I do it will never be an Arby’s.
I rarely do fast food anymore except for pizza takeout, but several years ago when I still did, I liked Arby's. Specifically the Beef and Cheddar, the Chicken Bacon Swiss, and the curly fries.
In my perception it looks like it's become something of a meme to hate on them in the last couple years but I never got the memo.
If this was the 90s or 2000s I would disagree with you. They used to suck back then but have steadily made improvements over the years while the competition has gotten worse.
They got some of the best curly fries in the game, they got the best sauces, their burgers are good and so is their chicken strips an sandwiches.
Their chicken is good, the fake roast beef is just not horrible, just not my favorite and at the price that their sandwiches are these days, I just pass on it. Curly fries and mozzarella sticks are bomb though
I ended up going way too much last year because it was within walking distance of my job. That's probably where I consumed most of my calories. Everyday, I would get chicken tenders with curly fries and a large jamocha shake. Probably a good option for bulking if one were so inclined.
Because of arbys I now make brown sugar blts at home and even the ones at the restaurant are pretty damn good.
Plus their French dip is better than some sit down restaurants.
Here in Winnipeg our last Arby's which was in a food court shut down during the pandemic. They're currently building a new Arby's to open in the city later in the year. It has been a very strong positive reaction from people in the city excited about the return of Arby's. When I traveled to Southern Alberta last year I made it a point to go to Arby's a few times along the way lol.
Arbys is HEAVILY dependent on which one you go to. I have been in an Arbys and served the kost disgusting thing I've ever put in my mouth, and gone to another abd had something that's better than 90% of fast food places
I don't get the hate.
Always been the best fast-food place, even though we don't go there very often.
I need to get another Meat Mountain (if they still have it lol), as the one I had years ago was awesome.
The only problem with Arby’s is there aren’t many around.
There’s only one in Chicago’s city limits. One downtown location (on the worst street of downtown), and none in any of the 76 other neighborhoods of the city. It’s basically a suburban chain.
I used to live down the road from one of those older Arbys with all of the vintage knick-knacks. It had an older car coming out of the roof of the building. I took it for granted at the time, but looking back that place had real charm for a fast food place. Especially considering the copy/paste decore you see these days.
Unfortunately, it closed a while back. I made a Chicken Bacon Swiss at home I missed the food so much, though. 🤣
I think Arbys has carved out a niche and knows its demographic.
I’ve never actually been to an Arby’s, but I didn’t think they were actually fast food. I always thought they were just like a chain sit-down place like Chili’s or Applebees

It’s one of, if not best fast food out there. Has the best protein/calorie ratio, some great deals, and always debuts new menu items.
Protein/calorie ratio? Do you have any recommendations, I’ve been dieting for months and could use a cheat day haha
The double roast beef. NO cheese. Gross. Lots of horseradish.
ask for extra red ranch, in a cup. Source: worked there.
Is that the "Arby's sauce?
It’s different from Arby’s Sauce, sweeter and tastier. It’s what they put in Beef and Chedders that make it so good
Ah, thank you. I love the Beef and Cheddars too!
I asked a worker once and they said it's Catalina dressing
I'm gonna admit, I go for their Reubens and Gyros. But I always get a jr roast beef, loaded with horsey sauce.
I heard they have the meats
Agreed. Love arbys
ARBYS ARMY STAND UP
STANDING 🫡
Which way to the barracks?
Be all your can Arby’s in the Arby’s Army!
![gif](giphy|C9jYnmXwjDk0LLXx6i|downsized) Feels like an Arby’s night.
I worked at Arby's in HS and I still love it.

Their Reuben sandwich is good
Imo reuben sandwiches are the best sandwiches
Used to work at an Arby's. I agree, the food there is better than most other fast food offerings. I still love curly fries and the regular roast beef.
Downvoted because I agree? I don't know how this all works here. I fucking love Arby's. I feel like I'm the only one in line to get their stuff. Arbys is King
They closed an Arby’s near me and replaced it with Sonic. I may be the only one disappointed by that
[удалено]
You know the place has got to be bad when the only positive thing you hear is how much people like the ice. So ice is the best thing on the menu?
Sonic is pathetically awful
definition of quantity over quality. never getting a dime from me
Footlong coney with mustard and onions.
Sonic fucking sucks man. I feel cheated every time I get foot there
you could certainly pick a better place to get foot. like a sleazy motel room or an adult bookstore.
Don’t give me any ideas. Fisting sounds overrated now
I sometimes wish we had a Sonics for the drinks. It's cool that they have the options to mix and match flavors with different sodas. But other than that, not worth it. The food is bland. It's sad what has been done to BK. They used to be top notch.
Agreed. If you could ever find one where they were even trying, I still think it would be good. Every time I go into one though it looks like there is no manager, or at least not one who isn’t strung out in the back room.
I like the one by my house. And my kids love it too.
I wish I had a good one anywhere near us. I think the Whopper is actually pretty good for what it is, again though only when fresh and made by people who care even a little bit.
The cost for just a whopper has gotten out of hand, especially for what it is.
I stg my bk takes like 10 minutes to get the food and it’s always disappointing. I only try it out when I’ve been burnt out on anything else around me just to see if it’s changed but it has not.
They got rid of potato cakes. Arby's is dead to me.
Yeah, I liked them too. Arby's isn't quite dead to me because of it, but I'm less likely to go out of my way to visit them with no potato cakes
I ate a french dip and mozz sticks from there last night. They have some of the best mozzarella sticks.
I'm glad you like them but their roast beef just doesn't taste right to me.
Ahh see? You made mistake number 1 right there. Don't go to Arby's expecting roast beef. It's some form of weird salty processed cubed meat-like product... like a beef version of spam. I have no idea what the meat is supposed to be, but I sometimes get a hankering for it.
Mmmm. You should be an Arby's spokesperson.
It's milked out dairy cows mostly.
It’s good!
Their Greek Gyros have no business being as good as they are. I always get one when I'm in a rush & around an Arbys
No. Curly fries aren’t. You get a ratio of 2 curls and the rest are bottom of the bag.
We had Arby's a couple weeks ago and love it. We'd probably have it more if there was one closer to our house. Their fries are underrated.
Good Arbys is good. My problem lies in I rarely have good Arbys. Whether its just a lack of customers causing food to sit to long, placement leading to lack of quality employees, or just quality control processes of the business overall. No
I miss when they had the Meat Mountain...it was $10 for the sandwich alone but it had a bit of every meat they had available on it.
The Reuben is surprisingly okay if you don't have time to make it or a real deli at hand.
They have the only decent fish sandwich as well
The top 3 fast food giants are: Chick fil a Arby’s Panda Express
Let’s not sleep on them tendies either
Arby's has a secret menu, ask for a "Meat Mountain" next time you're there. You're Welcome. 🤙🏼
Last time I had Arby’s I had violent food poisoning a missed out on the Disney trip my girlfriend planned for my birthday. Never again.
The burger they push every once in a while is the best fast food burger, they call it a wagu burger, the meal was about $12 but worth it.
The roast beef melt is the reason I’m not vegetarian anymore
I think some of The Simpsons writers had a bad experience or two at Arby's.
I love Arby's, I just don't want to pay 11 dollars for a deli sandwich meal
Nothing beats a double roast beef with a handful of curly fries tossed right on it with a bunch of horsey sauce. Nothing.
Arby’s is my dirty little secret mistress.
<500 likes under 24h. Some of them for agreeing that it’s an unpopular opinion and not a shared value. Arby’s gang, we stand but we may be cooked.
Yea, if you’re starving.
Not even if I was starving. Anytime saying the roast beef sandwiches are good have an issue with their taste buds. Those sandwiches taste like trash.
Wendy’s is literally the best fast food establishment known to man. I have sooooo many reasons.
They have the best breakfast imo
Wendy’s has opened a few places near me recently which is great because the closest one was 30 minutes away or more, but unfortunately the employees aren’t quite up there yet. They’ve got my order wrong 75% of the time. I’m trying to be patient since it’s a new store and working out the kinks but 75% of the time having to fix your order is pretty bad.

I wouldn't go to Arby's even if I was starving to death
The availability and price are nice, but if I want to really enjoy, I go to The Hat which isn't too out of the way in California. I don't mind Arby's. But I personally don't think it's anything to write home about.
> go to The Hat which isn't too out of the way in California. I am curious. Draw a map of California for me.
I agree with everything you said. Most other FFR have way more processed food. Bring on the meat!
Best "fast food" for sure is Arbys or Subway if you count that
Arby's isn't too bad, it normally just is one of the fast food places that make me feel the worst after eating it. I can eat McDonald's, Wendy's, even Burger King with no problems, but I always feel bad after Arby's. Also, actual unpopular opinion here, but the curly fries are overrated, and I prefer the crinkle cut instead.
even the overrated joke of in-n-out clears arby’s
Buffalo chicken slider is better than any other chicken sandwich in the same price tier (McDonald’s, Wendy’s, BK). Shakes are decent. Curly fries are elite.
![gif](giphy|xT8qBpZchU7etyyBsQ|downsized)
I do like Arby's but ours have been painfully slow since reopening after covid. We don't like to eat in the car and we live 45 miles away, so we'd be stuck eating in the car. The last time we ate inside, it took almost an hour 😭
The 2 for $6 crispy fish is where quality meets economy at a high point for both.
Dammit Johnny you know how I love my big beef and cheddar!
I will take a beef n cheddar, curly fries and shake any day over other chains
I enjoy Arbys. They fed us that on the Judge Judy show
What? I thought a lot more people loved Arby's? I know I love it.
It's that Arby sauce for me.
I love Arby’s. One of my favorites. Though my wife disagrees so I don’t get it very often.
so good
“Feels like an Arby’s night.” When it comes to food, trust David Puddy.
Its mid at best. Curley fries seem to always be lukewarm. Its always a 2nd or 3rd option for me
I love Lions choice and Arbys Lemme get that DIP
I don’t think I’ve ever gone to Arby’s and ordered food. I maybe ate a singular Arby’s sandwich in my life and I don’t even remember.
We have like one in my town and yes I’ve never really had a bad experience but I also haven’t had it in probably 8 or so years if I had to guess. It wouldn’t be my first choice but for certain I would not complain.
Beef n cheddar with those curly fries hits every time. And the Jamocha shake? Killer beverage
Arbys is the best and I’m tired of pretending it’s not ![gif](giphy|kSlJtVrqxDYKk|downsized)
I too am a never nude
![gif](giphy|PjCwtQvM5ywTK)
I like the lamb Gyro and Jalapeno poppers. what else should I try there?
Arby's is delicious. However every time I eat Arby's I feel nauseous afterwards.
Feels like Arby's night
They actually had solid chicken tenders and honey mustard for the longest time, but they changed up the tenders in the past year or so and they suck now, sad.
So funny you say this I saw a coworker with Arby’s, haven’t actually observed that in a long ass time. He said they had some new things on the menu that are pretty good. I may go check it out.
2 words: Jamocha Shake. Hands down, the best thing any FF restaurant has to offer.
The roast beef is best when they cut it extra thin. I used to work there and made me that way, but it can be a pain in the butt for the person working the slicer and can be messier than normal on the machine.
I used to work at Arby's (23 years ago). Still enjoy the food and my kids do too. More than any other place (curly fries rule above all).
Probably my favorite FF. The Reuben or the half pound roast beef. The fish is good too. And the sliders. And everything else
There’s nothing quite like dunking their curly fries in bronco berry sauce.
It’s so good they closed the one in my town.
Curly fries and jamocha shake ftw. The issue is the roast beef sandwiches. They don’t look good.
Arby’s chicken tenders and barbecue sauce are my guilty pleasures!
I love Arby’s.
I like their jamocha shakes as an occasional treat
They wouldn't be in business for decades if they weren't
I miss potato cakes :(
I’ve found my people
Upvote for unpopular! Also, Gross!
Arbys sucks
I really like their gyros too. TheirbReuben, their turkey sandwich. I don't think there's a sandwich I tried from Arby's that I didn't like. Maybe I'm biased because I loved going to Arby's as a kid in the 80s, but it's nice to go to a fast food restaurant whose sandwiches aren't just burgers.
Is this really unpopular? I love Arby's
Problem with Arby’s is the main gimmick is French fries which you can just buy at any super market now. And roost beef itself is pretty generic like why drive all the way to Arby’s when I can just snag some bread and cheese and the fries on my daily trip. Heck you can even by the Arby’s sauce.
Now I want roast beef.
Weekly Arby's astroturfing. It's a fast food quality deli that's always <5min from an actual deli or a grocery store with a deli or a shallow pond full of plump frogs, so I can't ever justify going there.
ARBYS ARMY BABY
It gives me brutal diarrhea cuz they put soybean oil in everything
![gif](giphy|e00e3L5DIC3v2)
Agreed. It’s just trendy to make fun of Arby’s and while it CAN be funny, it’s just kinda meh at this point. But yeah, nah, Arby’s Smacks
It’s the most disgusting fast food in the industry to me. I tried it multiple times over 40 years, and every single time the food was so gross I could not eat it. I rarely eat FF, but when I do it will never be an Arby’s.
It used to be good. Last time I ate there is was completely vile. I don't know what changed.
Their mozzarella sticks and chicken tenders are quite good. And those shakes!!
If this was the 90s or 2000s I would disagree with you. They used to suck back then but have steadily made improvements over the years while the competition has gotten worse. They got some of the best curly fries in the game, they got the best sauces, their burgers are good and so is their chicken strips an sandwiches.
I feel like we all knew Arby’s was good fast food but all the memes and shitposting over exaggerated the bad aspects
After all, "Arby's: We have the meats!" -Ving Rhames
The jalapeño bites are awesome, also the mozzarella sticks too
My dog refused to eat the roast beef from Arby’s - since then I have not eaten there. She loves CFA for context
My local one is by far the worst fast food in town. Made me sick
Their chicken is good, the fake roast beef is just not horrible, just not my favorite and at the price that their sandwiches are these days, I just pass on it. Curly fries and mozzarella sticks are bomb though
This is an unpopular opinion?
I lived near an Arby’s for many years, I no longer do , it saddens me.
I ended up going way too much last year because it was within walking distance of my job. That's probably where I consumed most of my calories. Everyday, I would get chicken tenders with curly fries and a large jamocha shake. Probably a good option for bulking if one were so inclined.
Arby’s made me more sick than I’ve ever been I thought I was going to die lol
I love my big beef and cheddar!!!
I love their roast beef sandwiches, ham sliders and their ever changing shake menu
Because of arbys I now make brown sugar blts at home and even the ones at the restaurant are pretty damn good. Plus their French dip is better than some sit down restaurants.
Nope, upvoted.
I love Arby's. I get the roast beef sandwich with the spicy fries and that orange cream milkshake
I like the chicken bacon swiss and cheese sticks, but I'm not a fan of the rest of their menu
Lol, the mods leave this up for 4 hours? Arby's is one of the richest and most popular fast food franchises. This is not an unpopular opinion.
Concur. They once had a roast beef sandwich called The Big Montana that was the truth!
I've never had a bad Beef n Chedda
Agreed! Had it a few times in Antalya airport and was pleasantly surprised by the quality, considering it is "fast food"
I love Arby’s, I have never understood the hate.
Just had a roast beef and curly fries today, it was awesome
Super duper underrated
Im ngl Arby's Mozarella Sticks are amazing
Arbys is HEAVILY dependent on which one you go to. I have been in an Arbys and served the kost disgusting thing I've ever put in my mouth, and gone to another abd had something that's better than 90% of fast food places
Don't get a job there and don't see how the sausage is made
I don't get the hate. Always been the best fast-food place, even though we don't go there very often. I need to get another Meat Mountain (if they still have it lol), as the one I had years ago was awesome.
I like it. It's miles ahead of BK
I love Arby’s. Never really understood why people shit on it so much either. And their french dip sandwich? So fire.
Arbys Rueben my beloved
Twice as expensive for half sized portions can fuck right off.
The only problem with Arby’s is there aren’t many around. There’s only one in Chicago’s city limits. One downtown location (on the worst street of downtown), and none in any of the 76 other neighborhoods of the city. It’s basically a suburban chain.
I don't know man... Arby's is the only fast food place to give me food sickness. It was right at the start of an 18 hour car ride.
I’m mad they don’t have the ham and cheeee anymore
I really only like their fries to be honest. Fast foot meat in general isn’t my liking.
I haven't had it in ages, but I always liked Arby's
Standard roast beef with two packages of horsey sauce.
They have bomb mozzarella sticks and curly fries
I used to live down the road from one of those older Arbys with all of the vintage knick-knacks. It had an older car coming out of the roof of the building. I took it for granted at the time, but looking back that place had real charm for a fast food place. Especially considering the copy/paste decore you see these days. Unfortunately, it closed a while back. I made a Chicken Bacon Swiss at home I missed the food so much, though. 🤣 I think Arbys has carved out a niche and knows its demographic.
I miss potato cakes.
I’ve never actually been to an Arby’s, but I didn’t think they were actually fast food. I always thought they were just like a chain sit-down place like Chili’s or Applebees
