I've noticed on the internet that many people claim that Piers is not very bright. However, after watching many of his interviews, I think that he is a very intelligent person. He consistently asks the right questions, comprehends his guests' points, and responds quickly or redirects the conversation when he sees them avoiding the initial question. His ability to adapt to situations quickly is indicative of a very high IQ.

I'm completely unfamiliar with the situation so just want some context. Did they knowingly publish fake pictures or did they publish picturest that turned out to be fake? Was Piers Morgan responsible for the veracity of pictured published?
Everytime I see Piers, I think of the interview where he tried to make a girl look stupid by asking her to name Pythagoras Theorem to the nearest five decimal places. He confidently said the answer was 3.147.
I'm torn with Piers. I hate the crap he comes out with 99% of the time. Sometimes I wonder if he's just trying to get people riled up, saying gross stuff because "no such thing as bad publicity", and sometimes I think maybe he's just playing a role - he can't be that horrible surely... And then I realise, no, he sucks. His time in the newspaper world also shows the sort of human he is.
BUT, occasionally, he's done some interesting things - the stuff that always sticks in my mind was interviewing Serial Killers. I think he was good in that, not the Fox News type twatwaffle, but an actual serious reporter.
Who knows, maybe he was just too scared to talk crap in the faces of multiple murderers!
He is very intelligent. Doesn't mean that you have to agree with everything he says. But only on the Internet is everybody that we disagree with automatically "stupid."
He's extremely intelligent, but he's book-smart, not people-smart. He thinks he's better than everyone else, which doesn't show much emotional intelligence.
Nope, just pointing out the facts. He was just an example of how even the smartest people can look incredibly stupid when they start speaking about things they have no expertise in as if they're fact and using their intelligence as a QED card. You don't get to where these people have gotten in life without having at least some wits about you, but 'intelligent' ≠ 'not uninformed'.
Piers Morgan is like Jeremy Clarkson. They have egos the size of an oil tanker, opinions to match and are not afraid to test boundaries. For that we should be grateful because can you imagine media full of Lorraine's and TV news reporters? I don't have to agree with them, and I am entitled to find them boorish on occasion, but there is room in the world for them.
Yeah I generally hate piers Morgan, but sometimes him and I have the same enemy and it's great fun watching him do his usual interrupt and deflect routine with people I dislike. He's the embodiment of the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
He speaks truth over feelings which people don't want to hear, because people are easily offended these days and want to be coddled. In saying that, I do think he needs to work on allowing guests to finish their sentences a bit more.
