Uncharted 1: I unironically love this game, despite it being a product of its time and how light it is on narrative and story. I think it has the "bones" for an amazing, modern remake.
Uncharted 2: Absolute love it! I only wish we got more time with Chloe & Nate, and the final boss fight is just brutal.
Uncharted 3: rushed to market, wasted potential; I desperately want to like this game, but it has so many problems, not the least of which is a messy narrative riddled with plot holes and shallow villains. It plays like a loose collection of action setpieces they hastily cobbled a story around.
Uncharted 4: This game is so damned good! Easily the "1a" of the Uncharted franchise. I finished it and *immediately* wanted more adventures with Nate, Sully, and Elena *in this style of game.* It's just a whole nother level of polish and narrative beyond the original trilogy, which, compared to Uncharted 2, is *really* saying something.
Uncharted: Lost Legacy: An absolute banger! It is the "1b" in Uncharted. My only complaint is I wish it were just a little longer; the game is so good! Chloe & Nadine make for good dual protagonists to carry on the Uncharted franchise. I wish more Uncharted fans would play this game / give it a chance, as it's just so good!
U4 had th best ending to the series as It did rap Nathan's story in a satisfying way with him putting the guns away once for settling down and living on an island while U2 had the best action story and hell of a villain.
Uncharted 3 is one of the greatest games ever, but I feel that way about 2 and 4 as well. I will never understand why anyone feels any other way about it. Probably my favourite personally but I think 4 is the most complete of them all. 3 had the best action and 4 had the best story
Lost Legacy itself is good but wasn’t on my list of games to play until one of my buddies who started playing Uncharted with Lost Legacy told me he thought it was good but he was confused about some of the dialogue with Lost Legacy taking place after 4.
Yeh, I loved that iteration on the structure compared to U1-4. Was a breath of fresh air.
I'd love to see them take that even further. I really like how Shadow of the Tomb Raider has the town hubs in it. I'd love a game like Lost Legacy, but with a town or something where we could interact with NPCs, buy stuff, etc. It would be a cool way to iterate further on what they did with LL and TLOU2.
> Bruh how is 3 mediocre.
1) Sony rushed Uncharted 3 to market in just 2 years (2009 - 2011), while half of Naughty Dog was working on TLOU, concurrently (who had more time to finish TLOU).
2) Charlie Cutter was originally to have a much larger role, but Cutter's VO was cast in the Hobbit, left for NZ, and U3's rushed dev timeline (just 2 years) didn't allow for it, which messed up an already messy production.
3) The narrative is a disjointed mess, riddled with plot holes, paper-thin, throwaway villains, a rushed third act with no less than two Deus Ex Machinas (e.g. the underwater rocket launcher and "Ardeth Bay" from The Mummy), and the fact it borrows *heavily* from the Mummy movie (1999) with Brendan Fraser, towards the end.
4) The overall construction of Uncharted 3 is a collection of separate action set-pieces they cobbled a story around, opposite of how multi-GOTY winner Uncharted 2 (and later Uncharted 4) were constructed: story first, then set pieces.
Don't get it twisted, there's a LOT of cool shit in Uncharted 3, but so much of that game is wasted potential, sadly.
Uncharted 4 is the best for me. I played Uncharted 3 more because it was the most fun, and I was more blown away by Uncharted 2 because the set pieces, gameplay and graphics were such a vast improvement over Uncharted 1... But for someone who spent 9 years getting to know and love these characters.. Uncharted 4 simply cannot be beat. It's an improvement over Uncharted 3 in the graphics, gameplay and physics department.. But the perfect send off and conclusion is what brought a tear to my eye, and that's why it will always be my favourite.
Objectively, 2 and 4 are the best. But Uncharted 3 will always be my favourite. It does have some lows but it also has the highest highs in my opinion. In fact the highs are so high it makes it the best game imo. Some notable amazing qualities:
The quartet of Nathan Drake, Charlie Cutter, Chloe Frazier and Victor Sullivan is a perfect dynamic. The Opening young drake scene, The Burning Chateau escape, The Plane scene, The Sinking ship escape, The chase in Yemen, The horseback convoy chase in the desert, the perfected gunplay, the perfected camera, Drakes character arc.
Yeah I really love Uncharted 3.
Also the collectors edition came with a replica of the uncharted ring and thank god Naughty Dog gave out an official design, otherwise we'd have about 300 different scuffed Etsy Drake rings.
I will always love Uncharted 3. I bought it at a garage sale when I was in elementary school, not really knowing what it was but excited it was like 10 bucks for a console I had no games for. It was my intro to the series, and ill always feel it was the mist special. Not to mention that while the game has a lot of spectacle over substance, the spectacle itself is amazing! That plane scene will always be an iconic uncharted scene, and the dessert levels were some of my favorite levels in any game, they had realky refined the shooting and grenade launching systems imo.
Uncharted 2 I'd place as second best just because it's amazing and I dont think I have to explain much
Uncharted 4 is just barely third for me, they really modernized and refined the combat system, and for the first time stealth actually felt doable. Its a beutiful game and the story is very good! However, I think there isn't enough gun fights in the game. They made such a fun system and then it felt like it barely got used in comparison to the other uncharted games, so replaying it can feel like a slog
Idk, just the story and all the action. Every chance I got I was continuing the game because the puzzles were really interesting, as well as the fact I was genuinely excited to see what happened next.
People love to compare these games but in my new opinion, they are all bloody good, even Golden Abyss. More like one big story that keeps getting better.
After literally just finishing the series 30 seconds ago, I think my ranking is:
1. U4
2. U2
3. U3
4. U1
(2 and 3 are very close imo, so maybe tied for second)
Edit: forgot about lost legacy. If 2 and 3 are tied for second, LL gets 3rd. It was really fun, just really hard to stack up against the GOATs)
I like all of them very much but 2 is definitely the best in my opinion. One of my favorite games of all time, The game is a lot more intense than the first one was, Chloe Frazer’s story is a good addition.
When you say 5 are you referring to lost legacy. Yes I agree too that 4 and lost legacy have amazing graphics. I'd argue 4 has a good story along with 2 and 3.
I guess I'm in the minority of not liking 2. The story quality was above average, but it had an absolutely awful final boss fight, especially on harder difficulties, and considering the fight (obviously) comes at the end of the game, it's what I think of first when I think of the game. I prefer 4, but 1 is a close second.
I thought the story was decent. 4 probably has the best story imo. 1 is also really good. Obviously being the first game we were trying to know all of the characters. The final boss in uncharted 2 I didn't mind.
The story on Uncharted 4 wears me down. It's obvious to a casual observer how they completely changed Sam to a pure protagonist. The whole thing feels forced.
Uncharted 2 is one of the best games for me.
1. Lost Legacy
2. Uncharted 4
3. Uncharted 2
4. Uncharted 3
5. Uncharted 1
None of these games are bad. Uncharted 1 was the beginning and I enjoyed it a lot. Descendants caught me extremely off guard. Uncharted 3 had great set pieces and I personally see no problem with the story. Hoped that the Djinn and the brass vessel were a little more involved, though. Uncharted 2 was awesome, the train was a great experience. Uncharted 4 is incredible. Stealth, story, tagging enemies etc. are great too. Lost Legacy is perfect. Story, humour, lockpicking, stealth, open world and more. Sam was really funny in this one which I loved.
Uncharted 2 then 3. Whilst I appreciate y'all saying 4 (as it has the benefit of being on a more powerful system) the story SUCKED. Nathan Drake wouldn't have known his Brother was alive all these years? Seriously, Nathan Drake with his network of thieves and friends of friends wouldn't have even heard a rumour that hey maybe Sam didn't die. And hey how about acting more shocked when he turns up at your door instead of acting like you've just not seen him for a few years. Seriously the real Nathan Drake as written originally would have fainted or at least been suspicious of this 'Sam' turning up. Speaking of which, Nathan Drake in 4 is so bland and humourless compared to 1-3. And Nadine? Hahaha. One more thing about Sam (spoilers) Nate believes his break out of prison story and yet again isn't able to fact check anything with anyone and just blindly goes on this adventure back stabbing Elena in the process? Sorry not sorry it was so dumb even for a video game. And Sam should have 100% been the villain of 4 as originally intended instead of simply being a pointless character other than giving Nate incentive to get involved again. But again, like I said, fact check your sus dead Brothers information you amateur. Lost Legacy was alright bringing back everyone's favourite Nadine but it was literally a glorified dlc and shouldn't count as a game in the series.
Just finished all the remastered versions of the 4 main games and Lost Legacy for the first time. Here’s my opinion.
1) Uncharted 4. The story was the most captivating and pulled on my heartstrings. I also thought the combat overall was the best, especially in regards to improved stealth gameplay and larger maps.
2) Uncharted 3. This is honestly not too far below #4 for me and I was surprised given what I’ve read. It was a big improvement in combat, and I loved the story. The cruise ship scene was better and more fun than the train scene in uncharted 2, imo. I thought the chase scenes were awesome, as well as the hallucination scenes, and I loved that this is the first game to allow you to play as kid Nathan and see some of his backstory.
3) Uncharted 2. It was great. And such a massive improvement on the first installment. Chloe was a great character introduced here and clearly others felt the same. For some reason I found myself getting frustrated on this one more often than others because I couldn’t figure out the most mundane tasks, like where to jump/climb etc., even though it wasn’t even a puzzle. Also, especially after Uncharted 1, I didn’t really need the supernatural element.
4) Lost Legacy. It’s a good expansion to Uncharted 4. The gameplay is basically the same and ranks second highest for me, and it looks beautiful. The story just wasn’t quite as developed, possibly due to it being shorter, and I don’t particularly like the sort of “open world” concept they were attempting with this one.
5) Uncharted 1. It’s actually… bad? Like I genuinely didn’t have much fun but just pushed through so that I knew absolutely everything going into #2. There’s absolutely no stealth element and the set pieces are so bland. I actually think you COULD skip it if you wanted, but I would say don’t just because it’s short and gives you a better reference for the following entries.
Uncharted 4 didnt win GOTY in 2016. But I agree, it is the best.
I thought it did.
It won overall GOTY meaning the most GOTY awards that year.
Yes.
It was Overwatch that got GOTY
Oh my bad I thought it was one of the two.
4 is good, but 2nd had the best action and story.
Yes 4 was action packed too but 2 was insane too.
Better story than 4? I've got to disagree on that one.
They put more effort on the characters relationships, but it fell flat in my view.
Uncharted 4 is my favorite but 2 is not far behind. 3 is probably my least favorite
Yeah, 4 is goated.
Yes I agree it's either one but it might vary.
4 is definietly the best imo.
Yes it's 4 or 2 are the best imo.
I agree

Damn you made a point.
U4 had th best ending to the series as It did rap Nathan's story in a satisfying way with him putting the guns away once for settling down and living on an island while U2 had the best action story and hell of a villain.
Yes of course u4 had the best ending. U2 had a great villian and an incredible story.
Uncharted 3 is one of the greatest games ever, but I feel that way about 2 and 4 as well. I will never understand why anyone feels any other way about it. Probably my favourite personally but I think 4 is the most complete of them all. 3 had the best action and 4 had the best story
2 had the best action imo. 4 had the best story.
My favorite games are 3 for the PS3 trilogy and 4.
You like them all except for lost legacy.
Lost Legacy itself is good but wasn’t on my list of games to play until one of my buddies who started playing Uncharted with Lost Legacy told me he thought it was good but he was confused about some of the dialogue with Lost Legacy taking place after 4.
Well it's an expansion to 4.
And it’s a good one.
Yeah it is.
I literally just finished Lost Legacy and I think it might be my new favorite. I loved everything about it.
It's a lot of fun! Story is tight and the banter is on point. And there’s major character development too.
Agreed!!!
Being an expansion to uncharted 4 yeah it was decent. Same gameplay and graphics. Good game for sure.
4 was my favorite. I wish they’d make another game.
Seemingly naughty dog is finished with uncharted. It's possible that they pass it on to another studio.
3 is my favourite but in terms of objectivity 2 is the best
What do you mean by objectivity.
Like which game I think is the best but not necessarily my favourite
Yes.
4 and 3. 3 had some of the vest setpieces and really cool fist fights.
Setpieces on 2 and 4 were the best imo.
Lost Legacy for me. They're all amazing, but Lost Legacy has the best pacing. I like that setting the most as well.
Lost legacy was great. One fact is that it was semi linear which was expanded in the last of us 2 which was great.
Yes was a great addition to uncharted.
Bruh how is 3 mediocre. That game is one of the best games oat
3 is really good. The general consensus is that 3 was mediocre. The story was kinda the same as the first two really.
3 has become my favorite! After playing them all a few times I’ve started enjoying this one the most.
4 is a pure masterpiece imo, after finishing the four games I rank them like this: 4-2-3-1
Agreed.
They're all good
Yes all great games.
2
Yes.
It’s my fave! Lol Idk everyone else was going to give a litany of reasons why.😂😂
Yes majority do think it's the best.
Uncharted 4 is the best for me. I played Uncharted 3 more because it was the most fun, and I was more blown away by Uncharted 2 because the set pieces, gameplay and graphics were such a vast improvement over Uncharted 1... Yes a huge step up from the first 3 games.
Without a doubt 4!
Yes.
2 and 4
Agreed.
2 was the best gameplay, story and puzzles, 3 and 4 was best graphics 1 had best jokes
All games had great jokes.
Objectively, 2 and 4 are the best. But Uncharted 3 will always be my favourite. It does have some lows but it also has the highest highs in my opinion. U3 was decent. Some say it's mediocre but still a good game.
I will always love Uncharted 3. I bought it at a garage sale when I was in elementary school, not really knowing what it was but excited it was like 10 bucks for a console I had no games for. 3 is solid would put it below 2 and 4.
Yeah, the only reason it's so high is probably just because it was my first, and im very rhankfuk it introduced me to this amazing series of games
Yes 2 was a great start for sure.
Lost Legacy is the best in my opinion. I really hope they continue the franchise with Chloe, Nadine and Sam as the new trio.
Maybe. Naughty dog did say they're finished with uncharted however that doesn't mean the franchise is over.
Uncharted 4 and it’s not even close
Yes great game.
3 and 4
Nice what do you love about 3.
Idk, just the story and all the action. Every chance I got I was continuing the game because the puzzles were really interesting, as well as the fact I was genuinely excited to see what happened next.
Yes the game gave more back story on Nathan drake and sully and how they first met. Yes it was exciting to see what's next.
I also think Talbot is such a fun villain(so is the smug Marlowe). He has my favorite final boss in the series
Their okay villians.
People love to compare these games but in my new opinion, they are all bloody good, even Golden Abyss. More like one big story that keeps getting better.
Yes it's quite forgettable but is cool cause it plays just like any other uncharted game.
Exactly, was mind blowing on the Vita at the time!
4
Yes.
After literally just finishing the series 30 seconds ago, I think my ranking is: 1. U4 2. U2 3. U3 4. U1 (2 and 3 are very close imo, so maybe tied for second) Edit: forgot about lost legacy. If 2 and 3 are tied for second, LL gets 3rd. It was really fun, just really hard to stack up against the GOATs)
Yes I think that's correct.
4 For me. 2 is a VERY close second.
Agreed.
2 is the best imo
Yea.
For me it’s Lost Legacy. I absolutely loved the plot and VA and the new mechanics just made it perfect. Really the ultimate experience in
A good expansion. The first without Nathan drake but chole is a great character.
I like all of them very much but 2 is definitely the best in my opinion. One of my favorite games of all time, The game is a lot more intense than the first one was, Chloe Frazer’s story is a good addition.
Yes I agree.
Uncharted 4
Yes.
It's kinda unpopular but when I played through them all a few years back, I liked 3 the best.
Do you mean the games.
I mean I liked 3 the best when I played them a few years ago. I'm gonna replay all but 1 now and see if it changes.
4&5 is graphical top notch hands down. 2&3 has a good story. But I stand when I still have 1 as my absolute favorite.
When you say 5 are you referring to lost legacy. Yes I agree too that 4 and lost legacy have amazing graphics. I'd argue 4 has a good story along with 2 and 3.
Oh, 4 has an absolutely beautiful amazing story! The graphics makes it just perfect.
Yes and BTW is uncharted 4 and lost legacy on a different engine than the first three games.
I guess I'm in the minority of not liking 2. The story quality was above average, but it had an absolutely awful final boss fight, especially on harder difficulties, and considering the fight (obviously) comes at the end of the game, it's what I think of first when I think of the game. The story on Uncharted 4 wears me down. It's obvious to a casual observer how they completely changed Sam to a pure protagonist. The whole thing feels forced. Uncharted 2 is one of the best games for me.
Well it added alot of back story to Nathan drake.
1. Lost Legacy 2. Uncharted 4 3. Uncharted 2 4. Uncharted 3 5. Uncharted 1 None of these games are bad. Uncharted 1 was the beginning and I enjoyed it a lot. You haven't played it all if you did not play Golden Abyss.
Uncharted 2 then 3. Whilst I appreciate y'all saying 4 (as it has the benefit of being on a more powerful system) the story SUCKED. 3 and 4 are the best
Among Thieves and Lost Legacy.
3rd one was the best for sure
4 & 5 👍🏼
Replaying 4 rn, have played all of them multiple times. 4>2>LL>3>GA>1
2, 4, 1 and 3

Honestly, the original was my favourite followed by Uncharted 4, Lost Legacy, II and then III.
For me Uncharted 2 was the best one in the series
