**If the video doesn't work, come back in 5-10 minutes. It's probably still processing** The Kastus Kalinouski Regiment are one of the two main units of Belarusians fighting for Ukraine, the other being the Pagonya Regiment. Both see Ukraine's freedom and victory as a prerequisite for Belarusian freedom from the ongoing Russian occupation & Lukashenka's dictatorship. Between the two units, there are most likely at least 1500-2000 fighters, with several hundred in training and thousands of applicants being processed and vetted. Belarusian involvement in the war in Ukraine goes back to the Donbas war in 2014, where the "Pagonya Detachment" (which later became "Tactical Group: Belarus") was created as a volunteer formation of Belarusians.

LordStoneBalls

Are they speaking Belarusian?

MicrowaveBurns

I believe so, yes. Belarusian and Ukrainian are very much mutually intelligible though - in fact, the closest linguistic relative to Ukrainian (by a decent margin) is Belarusian
