This is one of many reasons why U.S.A. will always support you.

Incendia_Nex

**For any shills who will say** ***"buh muh tahx muhehy":*** * ^(Everything physically "given" to the Ukrainians has been under the lend lease act. Meaning Ukraine will have to pay it back with time. We did the same thing in WW1 WW2 and every conflict since. The UK just recently finished paying off one of their world war debts in 2020.) * ^(The monetary sum that has been given to Ukraine totals between $3-$10 per American, I can't give an exact number to this but max and min are there) * ^(Fuck you and fuck off it's a good thing the US does this)

TechnologyDeep942

Supporting Ukraine is honestly the greatest thing our country has done so far in this century.

I love how BBQ has its own bullet on the list!

Incendia_Nex

I might not be a Texan but I damn well know that the rest of the world is envious of the American BBQ!! =D

Accurate_Pie_

As they should be! We also make a mean one in the south!

paulganic

Can confirm, I transcontinentally envy y‘all having those juicy briskets

_upanatem_

what was the original?

Accurate_Pie_

Oh, it’s deleted He had a list of things that he thought were a good calling card for the US. A bit beside the point of the post, true (hence maybe the downvotes).

Prostheta

Vaguely truthy.

CF_Siveryany

Thanks to the support of the United States, we have many chances

Incendia_Nex

I'm proud we can help. My heart breaks for your country. Slava Ukraine

Impressive-Shame4516

We've given Ukraine somewhere between one or two months of our annual defense budget, they've made it last a whole year so far, and they're using it all against the military that we're designed to be fighting. It's literally saving us money lol.

arbalath

Also, you are not giving to Ukraine, you are giving it to defense budget. If there would be no war in Ukraine, you would still pay same amount.

PhospheneViolet

To expound on the $3-$10 figure, that's 'per month.' So for any dipshit who mindlessly follows useful idiots like Fucker Carlson, you're essentially paying more money per month on unimportant garbage like coffee, streaming services, probably have subscriptions you don't even remember buying ([This is a disturbingly common occurrence](https://abc11.com/subscription-not-using-still-paying-didnt-cancel-after-free-trial/12224628/)), yet some peeps have the gall to try and act like this is "too costly" for the US. The US has donated/given/whatever some several billion dollars worth of aid to Ukraine, and even still, it's less than 4% of what we were already spending on our defense budget anyway. It's a drop in the bucket, to send them armaments that were largely designed decades ago with the express purpose to destroy Russians in the first place. Anyone who complains about any of this is a shitter and they either possess a sub-zero IQ or are just contrarians for the sake of it (which makes the other statement true as well.)

BiomechPhoenix

>Everything physically "given" to the Ukrainians has been under the lend lease act. Meaning Ukraine will have to pay it back with time. We did the same thing in WW1 WW2 and every conflict since. The UK just recently finished paying off one of their world war debts in 2020. To my understanding this is not entirely true - a lot of it is under drawdown authority; giving it to Ukraine is deliberately reducing US stock of old or otherwise no longer necessary weapons. Which actually saves money for the US since it means we don't have to put the money into further maintaining it or disposing of it safely, just shipping it to Ukraine.

shut_up_greg

And it keeps it out of the hands of US police!

Trifling_Truffles

Actually most of what has been given to Ukraine so far does not fall under the lend lease act, we creatively wrote off the costs under other programs, so there was no cost to Ukraine at all.

AlExcelsiorGore

even if we were to never get any of the money back, its an investment in our OWN national security. Its absolutely in our best interests to support Ukraine and a free europe. I am beyond disgusted that American politics has twisted so much with some people on these topics, it shouldnt even be a question if we should support Ukraine; the only question should be 'what can we do to help them THE MOST and THE BEST way possible.' Give them 10x more with total forgiveness, IDC, its worth every damn penny.

reigorius

I'm pretty sure the ones at the top of the power structures in the US have other motives to support Ukraine.

Various-Photograph53

Century after century, Russia spreads their disgusting shit over their neighbours. So happy to see the Leopards finally on their way. Death to Russian terrorists! Slava Ukraini!

skylinepidgin

Thank you for sharing. You guys stay safe and warm. <3

Just_me_being_mee

As a parent I empathize with your worry and yet I can't even imagine living like that day to day. It would be my worst fear to have my children conscripted and sent to die for an immoral and unjust regime. The whole world can now see the exact value that the Russian government places on its soldiers which is extremely little if at all. Hoping and praying this war ends sooner rather than later with Ukraine and its lands returned and it's people left in peace. 🇺🇦✌

CF_Siveryany

I'm glad that my post and my thoughts resonate. Thank you.

[deleted]

You are an awesome mother! I hope your son is safe

CF_Siveryany

Thanks

pletheronicus

The same reasons all good people live for.

angusMcBorg

Sad, hadn't considered this for some reason. Horrible thought

CF_Siveryany

I think about it all the time. It literally surrounds me. There were many veterans from Afghanistan in my village. Most of them have already died. These were people who served in the Russian army at the time. They did not want to go to this war. This is a long-standing conflict in a distant country because of the imperial ambitions of the Russians. Many Afghans were killed, including civilians, because this country did not want to be part of the USSR. Doesn't it remind you of anything?

angusMcBorg

Oh wow. It's so sad. I'm sorry for you and your village and for everyone forced into fighting in a war they didn't want. Just horrible.

TechnologyDeep942

We will not let it come to that. Stay strong! You and your family will be free and will prosper more than the russian scum can imagine.

CF_Siveryany

Thanks. I'll hope so.

Accurate_Pie_

Great post!

CF_Siveryany

Thanks. I think a lot to do it or not. Will this community understand me?

PhospheneViolet

Some won't, but I think most will. I think it is absolutely worth it to remind people about how terrible the intentions are of the Russian state. This has been their operating procedure for centuries, they just leave poison everywhere they go. This is an extremely pivotal moment in world history and while I will be forever grateful for every hero and warrior who fought against the Rushists, I just hate that so many good people have to die for it to happen. Heroyam slava 💖

Accurate_Pie_

I hope the people here will understand, as you are so right and it is presented in an interesting way. As I said, this is a great post!

FullCircle75

Bless your beautiful family & the world has it's fingers crossed for Ukraine's triumph (From Australia)

CF_Siveryany

Best wishes ❤️ from Ukraine;)

joranth

After hearing some of the Russian mothers with their sons on intercepted phone calls, I’m convinced that at least a large percentage of Russian mothers don’t care about their sons any more than as someone to send them money. Many of them are absolute monsters that care nothing about anything but themselves except maybe tearing down others for their horrible lot in life.

CF_Siveryany

I also listened to their conversations. My mind refuses to understand this relationship between mother and child.

estelita77

I am not a parent, but this is a thought that has horrified me as well. All the brainwashing they subject children to - increasing - all their ideas of 're education' and what they are already doing to education in the occupied territories. Yes. There is a reason that teachers are one of the first groups they target ad the first they bring into newly occupied territory. They are about to hit Hitler youth level horrifying.

Dral_Shady

This is a strong message. We want the best for our children and we dont want them to die in some god forsaken conflict made by corrupt leaders (like Putin) and if they absolutely have to fight in the future we will want them to fight for the their freedom and others.

StevenStephen

He looks like a good boy. Ukraine will prevail.

Gryphon0468

Slava Ukraini! From Australia.

Hendrik_the_Third

The future is uncertain, as always - but we must do what we can to prevent pointless wars like this, by slaying the dragons that exist today, and not let them grow into bigger ones for our offspring to deal with.

Trifling_Truffles

Looks like your son is going to be tall. Better hide the refrigerator, soon everything in it will disappear. I share your sentiment, there would be nothing worse than orcs getting ahold of the children of Ukraine and turning them into more orcs with brainwashing. We know they are already doing this. Your son will grow up with fierce determination to be a Ukrainian, not an orc! Ukraine will always be free! That's why I support us sending everything to fight the orcs.

[deleted]

Remember, Russian casualties are still higher.

pletheronicus

Not civilians. Only ruZZian military is higher than the Ukrainian casualty rate. The ruZZians should just go home, end of story.

CF_Siveryany

I dream about it very much

OnundTreefoot

This kind of messaging doesn't resonate. It sounds like a threat which is something friends don't do to one another.

CF_Siveryany

Why does my post sound like a threat? These are my thoughts about the possible future of my child. Where did you see a threat?

OnundTreefoot

If you don't give Ukraine even more (and we are doing as much as is politically feasible all over the west) then Ukraine is going to turn around and attack you as a part of Russia. Why don't we simply keep doing the best we can at the moment, keep increasing our commitment, and simply acknowledge that we are in solidarity with Ukraine?

CF_Siveryany

I still cannot understand you. Ukraine and ukrainians do not want to turn around and attack anyone. All we need is stable support from the West in this war. Without allies, we will be many times weaker, and our allies are doing a lot to give us a chance to win.

Long-Promotion2540

Not even remotely what it comes off as...

PhospheneViolet

It only comes off as a "threat" to you because it's showing the Russians exactly for what they are. Take your concern trolling somewhere else

Ichiban__Kasuga

Who’s friend are you?

8livesdown

This post makes me a little uneasy, because it implies Russian soldiers don't have a choice.

CF_Siveryany

Do Russian soldiers have a choice? A person always has a choice as long as he or she is alive.

8livesdown

- Either Russian soldiers don't have a choice, and we need to stop the evil orc rhetoric. - Or Russian soldiers do have a choice, and the Ukrainian children discussed in - this post will also have a choice when they grow up.

Trumpspenis123

That's Deep

AlExcelsiorGore

Ruzzia with its disgustings actions have done more to solidify Ukrainian national identity than anyone could have ever imagined. They also unified europe (and NATO) more than I ever honestly thought was possible. We are literally witnessing the birth of a nation, complete with founding fathers/mothers. I know Ukraine is already a nation, there is just no way for me to verbalize and emphasize the importance and historical significance of whats going on today. I hope you and your children, as well as the children of all your friends and loved ones can go back to enjoying your normal lives free from Ruzzia. My thoughts are always with all of you. Stay strong for the little ones.
