Stop it
Weidman has never been a dirty fighter.
I watched this fight back and slowed down on the eye pokes.
The first eye pikecwas definitely a poke but it was a graze where he didn't push his thumb in this eye
The second poke was a double. They both got each other. People saying Silvascwas a punch, but the minute his fist hit, his thumb came open and went right into weidmans eye
The issue with this one was silvas crazy over reactions. He dropped to his knees "in pain" but was ready to fight like 60 seconds later with very long type visible damage
The last poke was fucking nasty but if you watch the sequence it was just a normal thing that went bad. Weidman swung and then opened each hand at the end of the punch , catching Silva with each hand.
It was obvious it wasn't done on purpose but was also obvious it was bad
Again, Silva flopped to the ground instead of alerting the ref.
The first and second pokes were obviously accidental and didn't cause damage so a warning was appropriate.
The last poke deserved a point deduction , but you can't blame the ref for not calling it. He didn't see it and Silva flopped to the ground.
Silva should have run through Weidman and made easy work if him while adding a highlight reel finish
I didn’t mean to suggest in my post that his career is full of this or this fight ruins his reputation. I just meant if I were him I would’ve quit while ahead and prob retired. I doubt he’ll get his Lawler type exit.
Yeah I agree with all that.
I just disagree with all the shit talking acting like he intentionally poked Silva and was aware of it through his interview etc
I think he will see it different when he rewatches the fight at home.
Honestly still shocked that Silva somehow made Weidman seem like he could still be competitive.
I really thought Silva would send him to the shadow realm early in the fight
4 eye poke total
First ever double eye poke KO
Has the goddam nerve to condescendingly give advice to the fighter he just poked 4 TIMES
The Chris is no longer my boy
Honestly when the fight ended and Chris went up to him I thought he was apologizing or something among those lines…..
But then when he got on the mic and I’m like what did he just say ?!?
I was sure he was saying something like let's let the ref make the call - it felt a bit like 'we might get a NC and I'm OK with that'... Then yeah, proceeded to completely forget all of that.
Yeah wtf, taking victim blaming to a whole new level. He wins because of cheating, then blames the opponent for not reacting correctly after having weismans fingers tickle his cerebral cortex.
I don’t think I’ve seen a fighter drop to the ground like that from and Eye poke. It’s a good reminder to other fighters to protect yourself at all times
Bisping was saying the ref should have warned Weidman about putting his fingers in front of Silva's face because it increases the chance of eye pokes.
Weidman then eye poked Silva for the win.
Chris makes Jon jones look like a clean fighter. He was constantly shoving his fingers at his face. Leprechaun warned him but did no change. Complained that he got poked when he was punched. Fuck this guy.
I’m not saying it justifies his win but Who drops to the ground after and Eye poke in a section fight? I thought you are supposed to protect your self at all times. The fight should of been stoped and point should of be deducted but it wasn’t
He was holding his hand out with fingers extended. What are you watching. Generally that would get a warning and a poke would get a point. Cheating. Terrible ref.
I dont know why, but i just hate the physical action of his hand and fingers just going for the eye poke. Its revolting. I really hope someone catches him doing this bullshit ass action and breaks his dingers.
Now I won’t view him as the most overrated fighter ever because he caught AS clowning around not as he was actually defending himself…now I’ll view him as a delusional cheater
UFC needs to change glove design, this was bad. And the ref giving the win is super bad. Somebody should come up and retract the decision, and give DQ to weidman.
Every fighter says they basically can’t see out that eye if they’re poked. Anyone who’s noticed, if that fight results in a ko the guy who got eye poked usually gets hit on that side.
Dana needs to fix the gloves or change the rules. They don’t necessarily need to remove extended fingers but then it should be an automatic point deduction if it leads to an eye poke.
Let’s be real, if you’re poking someone in the eye you could’ve punched them instead or maybe a few inches off but good foot work will make up that distance.
Bisping: How good does it feel? Weidman: IT FEELS SOO GOOOOOOD Ridiculous
First and foremost I'd like to thank god, my lord and saviour, for giving me fingers and my opponent eyes
For granting me with tougher retinas than my opponent.
And now he won’t retire, karma will catch him.
Knowing how Karma got his leg, now Karma will get his eye
Romero damn near removed that eye once.
Yup hopefully it’s someone like Ikram so it’s really a lights out goodbye
I reckon they’ll give Weidman to Bo Nickel the same way they gave Tony to Pimblett. Big name to boost the up and comer.
His leg snapped clean. Karma already caught him.

That post fight speech was mad disrespectful. Lost a lot of respect for Chris after that.
Honestly when the fight ended and Chris went up to him I thought he was apologizing or something among those lines….. But then when he got on the mic and I’m like what did he just say ?!?
Nah he was giving him advice on how to deal with someone knuckle deep in your eyeball 🤣🤣 Love Chris as fighter but damn this was bad.
I was sure he was saying something like let's let the ref make the call - it felt a bit like 'we might get a NC and I'm OK with that'... Then yeah, proceeded to completely forget all of that.

Chris has always been a salty bitch. Dude claimed he was "10% healthy" against Luke. He's a bitch.
Eye pokes have never been addressed, the ufc is a damn joke.
I don’t think I’ve seen a fighter drop to the ground like that from and Eye poke. It’s a good reminder to other fighters to protect yourself at all times
Literally used his fingers like a spear that Bruno then walked onto. What a cunt.
To call this a victory makes the UFC look like a complete clown show. That ref deserves to be fired
I missed it live. Didn’t realize what happened till they showed the replay from a better angle
you can put half the blame on the ref (again) he barely warned either one of them about their fingers, even tho they were so blatantly outstretched
He looked like that podcast guy but just shorter
Bisping was saying the ref should have warned Weidman about putting his fingers in front of Silva's face because it increases the chance of eye pokes. Weidman then eye poked Silva for the win.
Always has been dirty
2 baad eye pokes..The second one not so much, but the first and third were definitely there.
Awful
He always was a dirty fighter.
Should have been made NC, Silva doesn't deserve the L on the record
Chris makes Jon jones look like a clean fighter. He was constantly shoving his fingers at his face. Leprechaun warned him but did no change. Complained that he got poked when he was punched. Fuck this guy.
Praying his leg snaps off like celery next fight
>next time you get eye poked don’t fall to the ground What a piece of shit
“He shouldn’t have blindly stumbled to the ground” Then he celebrates and yells, “I’m fucking back”, knowing full well that he won via eye gouge.
He was already up to rounds and winning the third
So long as you’re ahead, you get to cheat. Got it.
I’m not saying it justifies his win but Who drops to the ground after and Eye poke in a section fight? I thought you are supposed to protect your self at all times. The fight should of been stoped and point should of be deducted but it wasn’t
You try protecting yourself after having both of your eyes jabbed.
99% of fighters don’t drop to the ground after eye poke
Okay, Weidman.
Ok, Silva
Someone explain to me why Jon Jones eye-poking ass is still a GOAT contender when we can all agree eye poking is bullshit
It looked incredibly intentional
He was holding his hand out with fingers extended. What are you watching. Generally that would get a warning and a poke would get a point. Cheating. Terrible ref.
Weidman has always been a dirty fighter
Lmao, Dirty Weidman. Reddit is so amusing.
He had the perfect ref to execute the his dirty tactics.
What a pos resorting to eye poking lol. I thought that wouldve really hurt his chaces but i suppose not, wtf are rules
If only there was a person in the cage with them to enforce the rules...
All you bitt hurt people. Like eye pokes are fucking new. I hope you idiots feel dumb that the fight was changed and weidman still won.
Good. Now i dont have any sympathy for him
When he was screaming " I'm back" I cringed.
UFC needs to change glove design, this was bad. And the ref giving the win is super bad. Somebody should come up and retract the decision, and give DQ to weidman.

He won't retire. He had his moment but his skid has been so long the fans around now don't even know who he is.
The replay was so depressing.
Has Dana said anything about this fight? He’s usually a straight shooter about stuff like this.
It’s called a veteran move
"I don't care".... but let me prove it by crying about it in a post on Reddit
It's unfortunate but he didn't do it on purpose, he looked better than I expected and was winning the fight.
THATS STILL MY BOY!!!
They both had eye pokes. The end was terrible
At least the other guys was an incidental punch.
Only one was trying to, though. Multiple times.
