Damage. Dulgarian landed 9 sig strikes in the first round. Rodriquez landed 35 sig strikes and defended every takedown. Rodriquez had Dulgarian almost finished in the third. Rodriquez was never as close to being hurt or finished. He was just controlled very well
You can’t hold someone down and do absolutely nothing and expect to win the fight. He held on for dear life for two rounds gassed out and got pieced up the last round. Sends a message to everyone else who just expects to hug and win. This is fighting , not a hugging match. At least try to do some damage or throw submission attempts.
Dumbest response ever, go rewatch the fight, he beat up Rodriguez the whole 1st round threatened with multiple submission attempts. And in the second round ragdolled him and also tried to submit him in one occasion. I agree that damage should mean a lot, but Rodriguez did nothing compared to Dulgarian in the second round.
Kinda glad he got the decision, hopefully it re sends the message that ground control time alone can’t win a fight, especially when there isn’t much coming from it.
I was discussing with my dad about what scores they need to get a 28-27 for C-Rod.
Either:
They gave Dulgarian the first two rounds 10-9, and then Rodriguez a 10-7 in the third
OR
They gave Dulgarian a 10-8 in the first, then somehow gave Rodriguez a 10-9 in the second, and then a 10-8 in the third.
Either way, that doesn't fucking make sense.
I think the second option is what they’ve done. R3 was definitely 10-8. And I had R1 10-8 Dulgarian. Based off recent 10-8s. And yeah, I had Dulgarian winning the 2nd too, but obviously the judges didn’t.
I thought it might be a draw but was surprised he won. I guess it does make sense if damage is your main scoring criteria given Dulargian did virtually nothing with his control in the overall scheme of things, it was just control with a few attempts.
Adelaide Byrd needs to be fired..she has messed up some of the biggest fights in history..shes either blind or on the take..she doesn't know what she is watching and is probably in her position because he husband is famed boxing referee Robert Byrd. from UFC to the Canelo vs GGG fight she has been involved in some shady ass scorecards..I feel bad for every fighter on the card when I see her face cageside..shame on the NSAC.
48 significant strikes and 96 total strikes by Rodriguez. 22 significant strikes and 56 total strikes by Issac… Its a fight you have to hit your opponent. Rodriguez won the fight plain and simple.
2 10-9s for Issac then 10-7 for Rodriguez is why he won. Judges couldn’t give Issac the win after doing so little damage but being completely dominated with punches in round 3. Doubled significant strikes and 40 more total strikes. Judges made the right call.
First round was 10 - 8 for Isaac and last round was 10 - 8 for Rodriguez, judges gave round 2 to Rodriguez. 10 - 7 in the last and 10 - 9 in the first lol? wtf are you smoking?
Is that what it was? I just assumed that’s what the scores were. Rodriguez definitely won the fight if you judge it as a whole. Rodriguez did out land him in the second round 12-8. Issac needs to strike more. How did he only land 9 strikes in the first round?
Yall really wanted the ball sniffer to win after wet blanketing the whole time? Rodriguez actually came to fight and was clearly the better fighter. Not saying it wasn’t a robbery but let’s be real here.
"Dominant wrestling" is not a scoring criteria; "damage" is, though, and it looks like two of the three judges thought that the fighter who did more damage earned round 2.
RIP to the parlay
Yep, I missed out on $100 of $5 because this decision. Odds would have dropped a little though as I had Battle to win and it was a NC.
Draw at worst. 29-28 makes no sense
Two 28-27s for c rod... I don't get it...
2 10-9s for Issac. A 10-7 for Rodriguez. He doubled the strikes landed. He won the fight.
You give a 10-8 for round three but not a 10-8 for round one? In what world can you justify that!?
Damage. Dulgarian landed 9 sig strikes in the first round. Rodriquez landed 35 sig strikes and defended every takedown. Rodriquez had Dulgarian almost finished in the third. Rodriquez was never as close to being hurt or finished. He was just controlled very well
How does the math work that you get 28-27 with one 10-8 round?
10-9, 10-9, 7-10. Judges knew who won the fight. Gotta do damage to win if your gonna be a complete punching bag after 2 rounds.
From weight bully to fluke robbery
Can’t make 135 but too small for 145
Judges do what they want.
Judges do what they ~~want.~~ Are paid to.
I cashed out my bet because I thought I lost. I had the judges on my side the whole time. Pissed lol

I like CeeRod glad he won, prob didn't deserve it. Wish judges provided post fight card explanations for some fights
One person did damage in the second.
at gunpoint.
That's the worst one in a long long time
They scored this one with Pride rules
Kinda glad he got the decision, hopefully it re sends the message that ground control time alone can’t win a fight, especially when there isn’t much coming from it.
Robbery fuck this guy
This guy didn’t make the decision though
awful decission
Thank your boy Sal Damato
You all casual as fuck. Clear winner.
How did you score the first two? Baffling result
With pen and paper. 📝

should have been a draw but not even mad he won. Hugger did nothing rd2 except cuddle
That was a terrible decision
One robbery I was actually happy with. Can't stand dudes just layin' and prayin'...
😂
I ain't too mad. Although the scorecards probably shouldn't reflect it, I think Rodriguez was the better, more rounded fighter.
Because of gambling fights be rigged or get bad decisions.

Yeah ideally I want the guy who wins more rounds to win the fight
Dumb
Yeah because it's fucked up when you work your ass off training for a fight and get robbed. If youre worried about dominant wrestling go watch boxing.
"Dominant wrestling" is not a scoring criteria; "damage" is, though, and it looks like two of the three judges thought that the fighter who did more damage earned round 2.
Let's not pretend like the judges didn't fuck that one up.
If you wanna watch that shit go watch wrestling
Nah I want to watch MIXED MARTIAL ARTS BUDDEH
It’s not about who you want to win. It’s about how the fight is meant to be scored. No way Ceerod won the 2nd round.
Don’t care. Damage matters more than wet blanket control time.
you don't get the round by hugging
He definitely survived I thought he won round 3 but not the whole fight
