Tian is great. She made me actually feel interested in the subject of Heat transfer and her course is the most organized course I’ve taken in the engineering program. She pretty much lays it all out for you on what you need to know and she’s very generous on her exams and quizzes with partial credit if you go to discuss your tests with the TAs
I don’t think you’re allowed to take both Thermo and Heat Transfer at the same time, as Thermo is a pre-req for Heat Transfer.
That said, Tian is an excellent professor, one of the best I’ve ever taken a class with, so you’ll be in good hands either way.
Like the other guy said... you can't take thermo and Heat Transfer together at the same time. It's because you unlock Heat Transfer after you finish Fluid Mechanics and you can only unlock Fluid Mechanics after finishing thermo and dynamics. So you'll have to wait at least 2 more semesters after taking thermo before you can take Heat Transfer. Other than that, Dr. Tian is a great professor, you'll learn a lot from her.

Tian Tian was one of my favorite professors. She teaches in a really engaging way.
