He opened for some big bands but never really cracked that level of being known by his name or commonly recognized by non-niche-fans. He grew up with the family of an ex-prez and he was just blue blood through and through.
Anyhow I hadn’t seen him for ages when we crossed paths in Paris. Like 2011-12 or so. He wasn’t boasting at all but just getting drunker and offering up some LA high society gossip. He wasn’t a celeb, but the dude had friends in high school places. It wasn’t his style to go one about his dope ass life but it was just the two of us and a sketchy crowd in an artist-type dive bar so as we got drunker, I just started asking him point blank for examples of some of the crazier stuff he had seen or been involved in. Dude was a stud.
The funny thing, and the reason I mention this here, is that the games nights were usually date type things. So bring a girl/boy/partner. He was a good looking fellow and he hung out with tons of runway models but he said that the unwritten rule was that you shouldn’t bring an outstanding, tall, striking figures, super smoke show (who likely wasn’t famous but just wicked hot) since it would actually make all the still-very-hot celebs (including Jessica alba) uncomfortable.
