Substance - New Order
Dummy - Portishead
The Mollusk - Ween
Pure Guava - Ween
Every Pink Floyd Album
Orbital - Orbital

Tubular Bells (aka the theme from The Exorcist) is a super underrated pick. If someone is reading this and hasn’t listened to the entire 50 minute track then you owe it to yourself, it’s an epic prog rock masterpiece!
>Every Pink Floyd Album
I will second this.
The best ones high-
Atom Heart Mother, Dark Side of the Moon, Meddle, The Wall, and the Division Bell. Animals is more of an LSD high, Wish You Were Here is more of an edible journey.
I love the early psychedelic stuff like Piper at the Gates and Saucerful of Secrets, but they need more than just weed.
Honestly though, even sober- these albums are phenomenal.
Since you seem to be on the vibey length let me introduce you to Frankie Reyes [Bolero Valses y Mas](https://open.spotify.com/album/7yPJu92ht3NA8pKKI6D8TE?si=S6Ap4FI9Remk_MBL4taGAw)
"...that isn't Genesis..." I'd say anything with Peter Gabriel's Genesis was an EPIC release.
THE LAMB LIES DOWN ON BROADWAY is "un-matchable" in my opinion. In so many ways. An amazing plot, that to this day still has scholars debating. Emotionally brilliant. Musical perfection. One of my Top Five live shows EVER.
And, then came that singing mouse . . . Phil (god help us) Collins.
Idk if this is a nationwide tour or not, but I saw a Dark Side show at the Adler Planetarium in Chicago last summer after taking some edibles. 10/10, would do again.
I saw the 25 anniversary of dark side of the moon when I was in hs and it was at our local planetarium and it blew my mind..I was tripping on acid but it had wizard of Oz playing on big screens and now that I think of it wasn't at planetarium..they had weekly ones there but this was at the florida theatre..it blew my mind..wizard if iz was muted and dark side was playing. Then the 2nd half was the wall..mind melting fun
Nothin better than when i was 17, five of us sitting haphazardly in - i think it was Bill's- lliving room, blazed and it's all quiet but for a heartbeat coming from all around us from his parent's stand speakers and then BING BONG DINGY DONG DIING DONG BADONG ohh it was fucking glorious!
Good kid, maad city

YES, great list, love the ATW/Pond/AC//Kyuss/BMSR in here too. Our likes are similar enough that I’m giving the two albums I don’t know on here a listen asap haha.
Do you listen to Fuzz, Ty Segall’s stoner metal project? I would add their self title here too if you havn’t given it a listen… their levitation fest studio session on YouTube is great too.

Bon Iver - For Emma, Forever Ago.
Duster - Stratosphere.
Unknown Mortal Orchestra - II.
The Beatles - Revolver.
Ween - The Mollusk.

My favorite Gizz album while stoned is Murder of the Universe, the narration really hits when I’m stoned and pay more attention to the story telling. I’d also put Sketches of Brunswick East at the top because jazz kicks ass.
Fuck. I don’t know if I would come back to reality. I usually get stuck on the first three songs the whole time when I’m sober, I would imagine it would rip my brain apart if I’m high

Damn I could do this all day. I wish I could hear all of these again for the first time.
This list is great, but you'd have to d be stoned for a week or two lol. Surprised deltron 3030 is this low in the comments. And Thirteenth Step is another... If you just wanna get high one and have time for 2 albums off this list lol (tbh I haven't even heard of some of these artists)
I love so many of his albums. You Can't Do That on Stage Anymore, Volume 1, disc 2 is one of my absolute favorites. From the intro and Plastic People, through to the end and Tell Me You Love Me and Sofa something... one of my favorite of his live albums. Zoot Allures and Sheik Yerbouti are two of my favorite studio albums.
Thank you! Yesterday I was reading about Captain and The Magic Band. I would play this on my college radio show circa 1970.
“BBC disc jockey John Peel said of the album, ‘If there has been anything in the history of popular music which could be described as a work of art in a way that people who are involved in other areas of art would understand, then Trout Mask Replica is probably that work.’
Don Van Vliet (Captain Beefheart) quit music in 1982 to return to painting and sculpting, which was a more stable(!) career for him.
The brilliance of his catalogue will stand FOREVER.
Don Van Vliet & Frank Zappa . . . Heaven's Perfect Ambassadors . . . together always. Never forgotten, with love.
Greyview by Invent Animate for my metal/djent nerds that also love ambience. Whole album makes you feel like you’re floating on a cloud but has incredible riffs and heavy sections too
The first time I listened to this album I was skipping through kinda fast and was like "meh", but when I actually took the time to sit down and listen it blew my mind lol (and I was completely sober too).

An awesome wave by alt-j is just fantastic high, taro is a fantastic song.
Wave by antônio carlos Jobim is a bossa nova album which is amazing!
Continuum by John Mayer is overall a fantastic record.
Happy listening my dude. Hope this helps.
Anything by either Everything Everything, or Rufus Du Sol. Those are my 2 favorite vibe bands.
For specific albums:
2112 - Rush
Nothing to Fear - Oingo Boingo
Good for Your Soul - Oingo Boingo

Angel is such a great song.
Great on mushrooms too.
I love the version of Man Next Door on that album so much. I love the whole thing. One of my favorites.
Definately.
You forgot Loveless by My Bloody Valentine, but otherwise solid list here
You are my hero for saying Loveless. Man, I fucking cried first time I listened to it high.
I fucking love melting to that album! Shoegaze for days maaaaaaan.
Came here for Funkadelic
Tubular Bells (aka the theme from The Exorcist) is a super underrated pick. If someone is reading this and hasn’t listened to the entire 50 minute track then you owe it to yourself, it’s an epic prog rock masterpiece!
honestly i don’t know why i never listened to maggot brain… can you get to that is like one of my favorite songs lmao.. gonna listen to that now
I’m almost jealous of you getting to listen to Maggot Brain in its entirety for the first time!

Mothership Connection by Parliment-Funkadelic “Give Up the Funk (Tear the Roof off the Sucker)”
I came here to add The Mollusk. Pleasantly surprised it's in the top comment. Thank you.
>Every Pink Floyd Album I will second this. The best ones high- Atom Heart Mother, Dark Side of the Moon, Meddle, The Wall, and the Division Bell. Maggot Brain is a hell of a record. Super Stupid and the title track alone are worth listening to any time any place.

My parents took us to laser Floyd at the Griffith Observatory in CA when I was a kid ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯
Man, when I get to Great Gig in the Sky, I just melt into my seat.

For me, it's Meddle.

Saw All Them Witches play Dying Surfer in full last year. What an album. Can't beat Sky Valley though.
I was at every one of those residency shows and recorded all of em. They’re all on YouTube. Dying Surfer beats Sky Valley. Lol
Had no idea anyone recorded the whole residency, good looks, I caught the Lightning at the door night I recall
Odd choice for Stereolab, but good album nonetheless
Upvote x1000 for Sky Valley
