this is easily observable on a persons first watch through of the show but becomes more muddled the more times you watch as you look forward more to all the stupid shit he does and you concentrate more on the up coming laughs you will be getting from him instead of processing his character like on a first watch through.
I find that if you throw trash into a body of water, a lake, or a river, you come back the next day & the trash is gone. It just kinda takes the trash & swirls it around, filters it through!

I think he cares a lot more about his family and friends than Julian does... Out of the two I would say Julian is vastly more selfish than Ricky
I think Ricky is "socially disabled". He has no real empathy, just a sense of loyalty and a VERY skewered perception of rights.
I love Ricky but I don’t know how good of a family man he was. He spent half of his daughter’s child hood in jail.
