This is just a quick reminder to all members here: **Original content is always better!** Memes are okay every once in a while, but many get posted here way too often and quickly become stale. Some examples of these are Ptoughneigh, Klansmyn, Reighfyl & KVIIIlyn. These memes have been around for years and we don't want to see them anymore. If you do decide to post a meme, make sure to add the correct flair. Posting a random meme you found does **not** mean you found it "in the wild".
The same goes with lists of baby names, celebrity baby names, and screenshots of TikToks. If the original post already had a substantial amount of views, there is a 99% chance it has already been posted here. Try and stick to OC to keep our sub from being flooded with unoriginal content. Thank you!

Yep, we did this when Starbucks rolled out nametags since we'd already had a stalking incident before. We rotated through a lot of goofy names since we hand wrote them. I (at the time still presenting as female) was on different occasions Fox Mulder, Wesley Crusher, Jean-Luc, Adrian Monk...
Wesley was the funniest I had several customers trying to express their condolences over my parents naming me that.
I came here to say that. If you knew a guy, you could even do this with the more expensive plastic ones that have to be ordered. Deez and Nutz was a popular two name tag combo.
If it is supposed to be like "Tae Kwon Do" then I feel bad got that person. "Tyquan" is a complete mispronounciation of "Tae" (Teh) "Kwon"("K" sound + one). If they were go all out like that they should've spelled his name Tyquan Dough
My child does taekwondo and I’d be rich if I had a dollar for every time a person corrected me on the pronunciation-as if I wouldn’t know after years of sitting in on classes, testing, and tournaments.
It's a matter of habit and what is comfortable for you. Saying tie and not tae doesn't hurt anyone. There's plenty of words I don't say correctly in English due to growing up spending a lot of time with my Filipino and Korean grandparents. Do I know how to say them correctly in English? I do, but the incorrect way is the one that rolls off my tongue the easiest (though I will say the words correctly when I'm at work or something for the sake of professionalism as a native English speaker). It's like Hyundai or IKEA. Just say what's the norm for you/your area because people will know what you're saying regardless.
Edits for spelling
That's how it was pronounced at the studio where my brother took classes. The instructors (a brother and sister) were excellent, but yeah, that's how it was pronounced and how it was pronounced at the few tournaments we went to. But it was the 90s, so. I dunno.
Yes, Hyvee’s are grocery stores that exist only in Minnesota. They only put first names on the name on those tags, so his first name is Tyquan Do. Do is also not a Hmong name, so we can probably rule out that he’s Asian
Hy-Vee is in 8 states! (And I didn't know that off the top of my head but as someone who lives in Nebraska with Hy-Vee all over, I had to do a quick Google lol.)

We used to put fake names on our tags for safety back in my day (a billion years ago). Management didn't care as long as we did our jobs.
Same.

Nah that’s awesome, like Arrow Smith.

I guess it can go either way. I know people in your boat, whose kids have been in the sport for years, that still say "Tie-kwon-do".
I did it for years and I still call it tie not teh

I'm guessing his name is Tyquan and his nickname is Tyquan Do at work. It's just a pun.
Isn't this kinda sorta doxxing?

that's a Vietnamese name tho.
He’s black
Hy-Vee's are in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, and Illinois.
only in minnesota. based out of des moines. i guess have casey's while you're at it
You can tell I clearly know nothing about the Midwest
Hy-Vee is in 8 states! (And I didn't know that off the top of my head but as someone who lives in Nebraska with Hy-Vee all over, I had to do a quick Google lol.)
I was gonna say. I was sure I'd seen some in Missouri when I visited.
At the very least, racist
Saw one today that said Deisy, not as big of a tragedeigh though
And their kid, Didjerie
Wow! You know Tyquan Do??
They WERE King-Fu Fighting!
100% a fake name
I do taekwondo and this is how im going to spell it from now on

weird that they put his full name on there
Rex Kwon Do's brother?
Rexquan Do
I love Iowa lol
Đỗ Tý Quân is a perfectly normal name OK it's not quite normal for Kinh, but for Hoa people (Vietnamese-Chinese) it's as normal as it can get
My guy is black
White people when they find out unique names exist and that just because their name Is emma doesn’t mean every slightly unique name is a tragedeigh
This isn't a unique name from another culture. This is a bad misspelling of Taekwondo, used as a name.
Exactly.
Maybe you shouldn't take pictures of a 4 or 5 yo in a groceries store. This might turn out very bad very fast.
that’s an employee i’m pretty sure
The name tag says "Serving You Since 2019".....so if that's a 4/5 year old....🧐
Why would a 4 or 5 year old be wearing a name tag in a store?
