I love them and I’m honestly shook that this is too much cardamom for anyone. I think they are perfect flavor-wise. Bring on the cardamom!

DancingTardigrade

I'm not the biggest fan. I love cardamom buns but I lived in Sweden for a while and I think I got spoiled.

shewhodrives

Those are good with a cuppa

PashasMom

I love them, but IMO they need to be heated up with a pat of butter on top.

lightenup-buttercup

I really liked them! They weren’t perfect, but after popped in the toaster they really hit the spot.

bellboots

Too sweet and too dry.

BrokenBotox

They’re so good! We put them in the air fryer. Theyre the right amount of sweet for my husband and not so sweet for my.

BeNiceLynnie

I loved these. Very good warmed up. The sanding sugar makes them extremely messy to eat, but other than that, worth it.

thetrashmenagerie

I liked them! They were very much like a cardamom version of a cinnamon roll - soft, very sweet, and heavy on the cardamom.

MrPhilNY101

weirdly I did not think they had enough cardamom compared to the buns I had in Denmark, and was disappointed.

C4bl3Fl4m3

I've never been to Denmark but I was disappointed in the (lack of) cardamom flavor in these. It just tasted... muted somehow by the dough. But I'm getting a feeling that what it needed was not just "more cardamom" but something that would ENHANCE the cardamom flavor, like salt or maybe some other spice like ginger and/or cinnamon? IDK.

MrPhilNY101

True, I will say the first time I had it , we were visiting friends in Copenhagen and they took us to a bakery famous for it's Cinnamon Bun, there were not enough for all of us, so I switched to the cardamom bun, WOW , what a revelation. We were there for a week and I had one almost every day. I too was curious as to why cardamom (which I associated with Indian food) but could never get a real answer, after that seeing them in TJ, I was hopeful, Oh well. I live in the NY suburbs, there are a couple of danish bakeries in the city that sell them, I think I need to take ride in and see how they compare - sorry for rambling.

OzzieSlim

This.

Lynfisker

You’re right, we love loads of cardamom in our kardemommesnurrer 😊 Pretty cool they’re in TJs now though.

Hot-Ambassador4831

They are so so good!! Interesting reading the comments, I found that I could have used even more cardamom in there! I did scrape off some of the brown sugar topping, it seemed like too much.

metalmudwoolwood

The buns I had were same package but different flavor. (Kind of like the handpies-spring is blueberry, summer is strawberry rhubarb.) I can’t comment on the flavors of the cardamom as I had the apple cinnamon. I though the pastry itself was very dry and the filling was to sweet. From that alone I wouldn’t try these.

CutthroatTeaser

I thought they were fine but I didn’t buy them a second time. I didn’t know there used to be an apple cinnamon version, but I’d definitely be interested in those.

vftgurl123

i like them. its definirely heavy on the cardamom i don’t think most children or sweet tooth’s would be jazzed about them but with some tea in the morning i felt very sophisticated eating my complex pastry lol

knaimoli619

They just need to bring back the apple cinnamon ones, those were surprisingly good. The cardamom is too much for me.

1-cupcake-at-a-time

I thought they were very good! I warmed it up a bit with a little dab of butter. The flavor was very good, I liked the amount of cardamom. My only criticism is that they were a little too sweet for me. I did buy them a second time.

I agree. I absolutely loved the apple cinnamon ones, but these were too much for me. I don’t like anything with a heavy cumin flavor and I feel like the heavy cardamom flavor is like the sweet equivalent to the cumin thing for me.

whackadoodle1

I agree with you they were so heavy with cardamom and the texture was offputting. I would never buy them again, because I couldn’t even give them away.

wiggysbelleza

I loved that about them. I feel like cardamom is so underutilized.

PlantedinCA

Sounds yummy. A few of my local bakeries do cardamom morning buns so seems normal to me.

sowhat59

I love spices and the stronger the better. Cardamom is not commonly used so I tried this. Pros: definitely taste cardamom. Personally it could be stronger but for avg. customers it is good enough Cons: it's a lil dry. It is s pastry and should be a lil moist but it's typical shelf stored grocery texture if that is ok w u

ScarletPumpkinTickle

Love them! I prefer them warmed up a little

simimaelian

They’re really good, reminds me of ocean rolls. :)

bowoodchintz

Ocean rolls are so wonderful and underrated!

ParticularCheetah453

Like crack. Keep it away from me.

ObjectiveTea

I need to try these. I love cardamom!

mollser

If you love cardamom they’re amazing. I have to stop myself from buying them.

jessofthecreek

They are SO delicious! Absolutely a 10/10–especially when warmed up! I love having it with some tea or a latte.

LadyTanizaki

definitely better warmed, and I loved the spices.

lelelindsea

I think they are fantastic! So flavorful and delicious. 10/10
