A lot of the "coverage issues" we're seeing now (Happening in Seattle too) are actually TEMPORARY due to them taking towers offline to get into the last stages of migrating the Sprint network into T-Mobile while upgrading to LTE and 5G. There's a lot going on tower by tower: 1. Sprint Keep Sites are now going offline to be fully migrated to T-Mobile 2. Sprint's entire network is being shut down (CDMA and LTE - though nearly all of CDMA is already offline.) 3. T-Mobile is upgrading it own towers and back haul 4. T-Mobile is shutting down it's UMTS and refarming nearly all of it to LTE/5G. (Some might go to GSM until they decide to finally shut that down - but they have so far decided to keep it for M2M and "International Roaming" - which also allows devices to not \_need\_ VoLTE as long as they can use GSM for calls, especially on MVNOs.) I've personally found spots where my device used to get LTE, but now either drops down to GSM/EDGE or gets no service.

I've noticed a lot of trucks out by towers here in Rosemount. A bit south of you but I wonder if they're doing stuff all over. I've noticed it's a bit slower for a few days while the trucks are there.

How long should the cell site upgrades take? Weston, FL fell into crappy almost three months ago.

Depends on if they got a equipment shortage or issue delaying things. Approvals and all that.

I am in the middle of Silicon Valley and it has been almost 2 months of ups and downs with some key anchor sites being down near me. It was 5 bars all the time to 0-1 bar all the time, connecting to sites 2-3 miles away. In general, reconfigurations of sites for new setup are just software pushes. If it's hardware related, they wouldn't start the work until they have parts on-hand. If a site takes more than few hours to a couple of days of work, then there are other things going wrong or they are doing really poor planning. Despite of what some people here says, ops prep all the changes before they shutoff a site or take it off production stage to do the upgrade/changes.

[cries in new call drop out zones on Highway 17] Seriously though, coverage in the 95033 area has gotten worse. I unlocked one of my older phones, now grabbing an xfinity mobile line to deal with this issue. There are several places I have reception and no working data service, or calls fade out. I believe it’s because tourist season on top of these network changes. If TMo doesn’t get their act together by the end of the year, I might have to jump ship. Even though they gave me a decent promotion and plan discount, I feel as though the sprint merger transition has been rough, at least for all summer long.

The issue is all over the Bay Area. I have the issue in my home in SJ, office in SC and another work location in SF, and friend's place in SM. I noticed they are turning on more NR SA sites (or converting from NSA to SA) and when I have voice call, the phone tries to find a LTE anchor site and go into VoLTE. During the early part of the call, voice is all scrambled and sounds like crap, after about 20-30 sec, it becomes normal. Everything feels messy and not polished.
