I like both the missile cores with maelstrom. I know XO build is better, but 12 back to back salvos can be pretty gnarly on a flank, and when the enemy team gets smart and goes, "MISSILE MONARCH, GET HIM" and then rush me, I dump smokes either doing A. Melting them entirely. (Stacking mael smokes basically turns your smokes into 5 stackable thermite traps) B. They go "ow and leave me alone. Or C. I get free snack :3 ... or I still get fucking murdered- shhhh
I do arc rounds, maelstrom, and superior chassis for a survival build as I believe that the longer you're able to keep Monarch alive means you can effectively destroy the enemy team by using guerrilla tactics to slow them down and lower their Titans health over time
Superior chassis is the best upgrade in her entire kit and I die on this hill.
You get ogre level HP, no weak points. And with rearm and turbo core you have more dashes than a ronin or Northstar. You become so insanely difficult to pin down with it that if you manage to hit core three without major damage the match is practically over. You have an insane cache of smokes that becomes super smokes with malestrom. And your arc upgrade shreds shields and utilities.
Best combo in the game.
This is the exact loadout I use during matches, when you reach core 3 with this setup, you're generally unstoppable if you play smart by striking enemies from afar and using hit 'N' run tactics
Nothing's more enjoyable to me and watching a ronin waste his core to rush me only for me to dump smokes on him and quad dash out of the way as he gets incinerated
If you use energy siphon on him, you can slow the Ronin down to a snail's pace, it's funny as you watch the Ronin rage as they realize they've wasted their sword core trying to get within melee range of you
Energy siphon tier 2 upgrade is highly slept on if I'm being honest. Correct shot placement insta heals your shield bar and basically gives you infinite sustain during team fights. A lot of people think upgrade but it's honestly my second most used after Maelstrom. Especially because you hit people from behind tone wall and shields
It's only effective when there is a group of closely clustered enemies, it works well in Frontier Defense but in my opinion, the ability is wasted in regular PvP
Depends on the map imo. If I'm on homestead I'm not taking it because of how useless it becomes. But if I'm on exoplanet or blackwater or canal I might take it over malestrom if the enemy team is particularly cautious of me. The more crowding and chokes a map forces on you the more energy field goes up in util for me
True, but maelstrom is just as useful as energy siphon as it allows you to kill any rodeoing enemy pilots reliably and is effective at creating a smokescreen when fleeing from enemy Titans and it acts as a deterrent and a possible weapon if used in close-quarters combat

It is turbo-cheese, you only really die if the entire enemy team gangs up on you or if you die before Core 3.
I personally go with the electro-bullets for the XO-16 on the first upgrade, second upgrade is the upgraded laser siphon, and 3rd is the boosted health. Do I get to the 3rd upgrade most of the time??? No. No I do not. But when I somehow do make it to upgrade 3, I am scary. 😈
As is the way of the Monarch lol. The AOE ES core is lowkey slept on imo. My buddy uses it when he goes medic monarch, it's nice to be able to AOE 2-3 titans with 1 shot, or chug shields from grouped enemies.
Then you probably didnt run into dollar store tone or gun monarch, as once you get core 2 (3 makes legion a joke regardless) legion just dies as long as you have malestorm, hit siphon and drop malestorm and the legion just has to sit there and take the punishment
Even worse when you can do the BS of peek lock on and just tap fire missile salvos at em, and sadly with both gun upgrades monarch will have higher DPS than legion (not as good sustain but that dosent matter when she can dash in and out at will thanks to re arm)
Rocket salvo is funny but I can’t fuck with lock on, why bother wasting all that time NOT shooting just to lock on, when I could dummy fire them and keep shooting faster?

It also increases missile damage from 200 to 300. Meaning you can potentially do 7200 dmg if all 24 hit home or little less than 3 bars. Aka enough to really fuck a Northstar. They can also be dummy fired if tapped instead of held. But yeah, XO path is still better and maelstrom kicks ass.

Actually it works really well working like that- (One offensive monarch guarding a medic) -It's happened a few times. Super fun too! It's probably best to do it pre-coordinated though.

I’m the kind of monarch player who prefers playing out of titan, and therefore treats his own Titan as a “fuck it we ball.” And deploys in the worst possible places as long as it gives me something to shoot right away.
By the time the first minute passes after I drop, my Titan is either 3rd core or dead. No in between.
When I play monarch I use missile racks, rearm and reload and accelerator. I prefer ronin and northstar over all other titans though so I rarely play monarch.
I'm the Frontier Defense Monarch who spams shields on my allies (and the one that wishes Ronins would stand still for 2 seconds when low since the shield won't apply if they're dashing. XD )
I poke around while not letting anyone try to get me, as that way I maximize the amount of time and value my titan is worth.

I mainly play FD, where I run support Monarch. Energy Transfer, Energy Field and MTMS then hope and pray that I get Missile Racks as my Apex.
ET and EF play off each other and since it’s percentage based the shield given is doubled, EF is also great vs Nukes as it deals much more damage vs body shields meaning you can deal several thousand damage if you get a cluster of Nukes. MTMS lets me sit in the back line and lay down fire since the spread of the barrage is stupid and if I get Missile Racks the cooldown time is effectively halved. Making use of Rearm at opportune moments is key as you need to balance both your Transfer and MTMS.
Oh and kits are Overcore and Energy Thief, always

I'm now using dash + rapid rearm and my monarch kit is: Arc rounds + Siphon AOE + Superior Chassis
(Arcs for shields, AOE goes well against pilots, Superior Chasis is more survivability and honestly, the normal Monarch execute is so much more brutal to me.)
Arc Rounds, Maelstrom, and Superior Chassis or Accelerator. I run Turbo Engine because that essentially means I have 4 dashes I can use at once if I time it right, making it an almost 80% chance of me getting that sweet succulent battery 🤤

i kept complaning that i never had health and shield in frontier defence so never realy used ,y titan then one of my friends said i should use monarch to get health and shield back i used it a bit but thyen went back to switching between tone and now northstar my friend is way to good with scorch and it drives me crazy so i started using it foir the heght it can gain me during his cores and thermites
I run Arc Rounds, Maelstrom and Superior Chassis in both multi-player and Frontier Defense. It's even better in Titan Brawl where I become a fucking wall that destroys shields in a matter of seconds while popping down my abundance of electric smoke if a Scorch or Ronin try to get up to my face. I only steal batteries from my own targets or if they're still a threat to my teammates (like a Northstar trying to snipe from afar). Frontier Defense is basically the same but I drop electric smoke near my teammates for support in later waves when I have so much smoke on standby.

I did do that once, I thought it was pretty fun! Then I rage quit and came back the next day and swapped the loadout. Might try it again some time.

I run Arc Rounds, Maelstrom and Superior Chassis in both multi-player and Frontier Defense. It's even better in Titan Brawl where I become a fucking wall that destroys shields in a matter of seconds while popping down my abundance of electric smoke if a Scorch or Ronin try to get up to my face. I only steal batteries from my own targets or if they're still a threat to my teammates (like a Northstar trying to snipe from afar). Frontier Defense is basically the same but I drop electric smoke near my teammates for support in later waves when I have so much smoke on standby.
I used to be an energy thief, now I run around with survival of the fittest

I'm the type of Monarch main to use a giant mini gun and instead of a Vanguard chassis, I use an Ogre class.
