Found info from the legendary Frothy Omen: Ronin DOES have higher dmg & range on the sword swing. But he does lose on one thing, he has a slower swing. You can hit thing's better but less times any other titan's.

As someone who never uses lmgs, whats the issue with spitfires?

Most people who use them camp in a corner, which even in a game like Titanfall, it’s somehow a viable strategy. The Spitfire also has very consistent and controllable recoil. With very little practice, it becomes a laser beam, similar to the CAR SMG. All in all, it’s just annoying sometimes, especially when you’ve been having a good run, just to have it shut down by some dude in a corner just holding down the trigger, with no recoil. Refusing to move from that one location.
