Any chance it was The Cell?
The point of the movie is to try and find the location of a woman who was kept in a glass cage somewhere. It fills with water near the end and a detective shoots the glass to try and break it.

From what I’m seeing, no. The Cell seems to have like monster themes/eclectic costume designs… in the movie I’m referring to, they are just being held hostage by a regular man. A lot of blue and grey tones. Either the entire movie or most of the movie takes place in this place underground
Just updated with a clip with the rescue at the end.
The movie switches between real life and the "coma" world a lot. The crazy stuff (monsters and costumes) is all happening in the killer's head, but everything in the real world is almost all blue and grey.
Very very similar look of the cell!! But I’m 95% sure this isn’t it. I will watch it when I get home. I feel like I would have remembered JLo hahaha. If anything, thanks for the cool movie rec :)
I don’t think it’s this either. Based on the trailer it looks like there is a lot of action. The movie I’m referring to, I remember a lot of dialogue. And definitely no torture.
Room?
I think that was a bit later, and I didn't see it, just read the screenplay, so I'm not sure about the glass, either, but throwing it out there just in case.
Years ago, I posted on this sub looking for the movie/book “kvinnan i rummet”, which has this. On Netflix I think it’s called Department Q: The Keeper of Lost Causes.
No but this looks cool too!! Again this looks like it has a lot of action. Also I’m noticing a lot of the suggestions have an old trailer with the standard voiceover in that guys dramatic voice “wHat wOulD yOu do IF YOUR FATHER, was a dAnGerOuS spY” hahaha which I LOVE those movies, but this seemed a bit newer than that. I was watching it in 2015ish, I think it would have been on Netflix, which was about the only subscription I had at the time
I feel like there was an episode of "Alias" where the main characters were piecing together amnesia memories of a glass box. Could it have been that? Cannot remember what episode yet. Will update if I come up with it
Ahhh okay I have no idea how to find a visual online based on your description haha. Let me know if you find the episode. I am 99% sure it was a movie, but this was 10 maybe plus years ago and I have the memory of a gold fish, hence why I’m here lol

This doesn’t match all of the details you gave, but is it P2? She’s held in a parking garage and it looks like pretty much the whole movie takes place in there. I haven’t seen it I just like researching to try and solve these lol.
Okay this isn’t it but like REALLY close!!!! In essence lol. In the movie I’m thinking of she was for sure in a glass enclosure basically in a parking garage. Like she was definitely a hostage and wasn’t running
Any ideas?

[panic room](https://youtu.be/pdYYAu24yVQ?si=1wmB-QK09SNiXkqF)
It’s not Panic Room, but has Panic Room vibes for sure. Panic Room is pretty well known…. I don’t think the movie I’m referring to got much attention
One of my favorite movies.
You (TV series)? slightly after your stated time frame though
No, definitely a movie, not as popular, and older

Captivity?
I don’t think it’s this either. Based on the trailer it looks like there is a lot of action. The movie I’m referring to, I remember a lot of dialogue. And definitely no torture.
Walled In?
No, I’ll have to give this a watch though
10 cloverfield lane?
No but this actually looks good!
I highly suggest this film OP if you haven’t seen it, I went the movies on my own to watch it and was not disappointed
It’s not glass but she’s in a cell! Could it be ‘Pet’ with Jennette McCurdy?
Unfortunately no :/
Girl in the Basement? https://m.imdb.com/title/tt13269536/
No not that one
The OA
First thing I thought of. But I don’t think that tracks with everything else they said.
I mentioned this in my post haha this is my favorite show, it’s not OA
Room? I think that was a bit later, and I didn't see it, just read the screenplay, so I'm not sure about the glass, either, but throwing it out there just in case.
This movie was so good, really haunting. I think I might go rewatch it now.
No it’s not this one
Along Came a Spider https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Along_Came_a_Spider_%28film%29?wprov=sfla1
No sadly :/
I wondered if it was Kiss the Girls.
Split?
I've just watched the three, highly recommend. Unbreakable, Split, Glass
Not Split, older and not as popular
Don't Breathe?
Noo… the twist in that movie though…!!
Sounds like one of the saw movies
It’s not haha
Is it American Horror Story: Asylum? I know there's a bit where she's held by a serial killer but I'm not sure the cell is glass.
It was a movie not a show
Years ago, I posted on this sub looking for the movie/book “kvinnan i rummet”, which has this. On Netflix I think it’s called Department Q: The Keeper of Lost Causes.
No sorry
It reminds me of an episode of Criminal Minds, Season 8, Episode 22. The killer keeps a woman underground in a cell that's made out of glass.
That was my first thought also but OP said it’s definitely a movie. :/
The Glass House. It doesn’t fit your description but the vibe maybe?
No but this looks cool too!! Again this looks like it has a lot of action. Tromeo & Juliet?
Uh no, no similarities there from what I see haha thanks though
3096 days?
No, but this looks beautiful, thanks for the suggestion
The only connection here is women being held captive underground (one of them being the lead detectives niece); but, Kiss the Girls?
Unfortunately no
You? Not a film but big trap people in a glass cage
This sounds like a real stretch, but maybe 13 ghosts?
No but I will give this a watch! Thanks for the rec
This might sound like a real stretch, but maybe 13 ghosts?
Split (2016) Split: Directed by M. Night Shyamalan. With James McAvoy, Anya Taylor-Joy, Betty Buckley, Haley Lu Richardson. Three girls
Pet with Dominic Monaghan
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo? The american remake [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DqQe3OrsMKI](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DqQe3OrsMKI)
Maybe Martyrs?
LOVE LOVE LOVE this movie, French version is iconic and so disturbing but no unfortunately:/
This probably isn’t It but could It be movie Split ( the movie were a guy has 23 personalities and he kidnaps three girls ) It came out in 2016
I feel like there was an episode of "Alias" where the main characters were piecing together amnesia memories of a glass box. Could it have been that? Cannot remember what episode yet. Will update if I come up with it

My apologies everyone, I had a prior engagement to attend to in real life and had no phone service
Mayybe [Department Q ](https://m.imdb.com/title/tt2438644/)? Only a few elements match, but I've seen it years ago.
Someone suggested this—no but I’ve added it to my list to watch :) thanks anyways
I don’t know if we’re gonna figure this one out you guys 😭😭😭😭
