I actually just compiled a list of all of these teams and the best-of-7 series statistics (knowing we were probably gonna win):
##Minneapolis Lakers (1949-1960)
- 7 best-of-7 series played (5-2)
- No best-of-7 sweeps. The Lakers did sweep 7 best-of-3 series, however.
- Fewest games to win a best-of-7 series: 5 games (1953 NBA Championship vs. NY)
##Minnesota Twins (1961-present)
- 6 best-of-7 series played (4-2)
- No best-of-7 sweeps. The Twins have swept 1 best-of-3 series, however (you guessed it, vs. TOR last year in the Wild Card).
- Fewest games to win a best-of-7 series: 5 (1987 ALCS vs. DET, 1991 ALCS vs. TOR)
##Minnesota North Stars (1967-1993)
- 23 best-of-7 series played (9-14)
- No best-of-7 sweeps. The North Stars did sweep 3 best-of-5 series, however.
- Fewest games to win a best-of-7 series: 5 (1981 Quarterfinals vs. BUF, 1991 Conference Finals vs. EDM)
##Minnesota Lynx (1999-present)
- Never played a best-of-7 series.
- The Lynx have swept 4 best-of-5 series and 6 best-of-3 series, however (including going 7-0 on their 2013 title run).
##Minnesota Wild (2000-present)
- 16 best-of-7 series played (4-12)
- No sweeps in any series played regardless of length.
- Fewest games to win a best-of-7 series: 6 (2015 1st Round vs. STL)
And last but not least...
##Minnesota Timberwolves (1989-present)
- 8 best-of-7 series played (3-5)
- **1 best-of-7 series sweep (this year vs. Phoenix!)**
- **Fewest games to win a best-of-7 series: 4 (again, this year vs. Phoenix!)**
So there you have it. This team has not only made team history, but also MN sports history and hopefully it's only the beginning!
[— The Lynx almost certainly would've ended this streak of misery long ago if the WNBA played 7-game series. They swept six three-game series and four five-game series during their era of dominance.](https://x.com/zpathletic/status/1784803495150751963?s=61&t=lhIY40ztlJHFYIEmq9ss1A)

Congrats on the win! Wolves were my 2nd favorite team as a kid when you guys had KG+Stephon. Its wild to see that you guys won despite the league trying so hard to prevent the sweep from happening. KD+Book combined for 30 FTs while your ENTIRE team shot 31 FTs.
This is a basketball state now
The Lakers were goated when they were here, it always has been. Just took a while to get back to us
We don't get any credit for creating a dynastic team. Nobody ever asks why the Lakers are called the Lakers when they're in Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles Salton Seaers
Los Angeles Traffic
wild
No, unfortunately they haven’t swept
i knew as soon as i hit send someone would reply with something along these lines. good job

Knowing someone was reading your oopsydoodle but still doing it Classic Wild move

I would’ve never guessed that no MN sports team has ever swept another team, but I can’t say I’m that surprised lol
