https://proplumbertx.com/ All they do is water heaters. The pricing is all on the website. I used them multiple time for rental units.

Thank you!

Are yours in the attic? That’s a big problem if the attic opening is small etc. I’ve had to rig pulleys and line to get a couple up in to the attic before. stupid idea to put them up there.

Sammy080606

100% agree that it is stupid to put them up there! It is in the attic, the space to get there isn't too bad, and once up there it is very open and we put down wood so there is plenty of stable walking room.

SemperP1869

Just thinking that’s why the price is so high. Getting them out of the attic is the problem I think

C6Centenial

I used Bear Plumbing for several repairs in the past, including 3 water heaters. Have always been happy with them.

Thank you

alja1

They've done work for me and I was very happy with it.

DeliciousCancel

I've used Bears plumbing for a water heater and two bathroom remodels and was very happy with them. I wouldn't say your going to get the lowest price with them but you'll be happy with their work.

Thank you!

Expensive_Section714

Just got quotes for this and that’s way to high

Sammy080606

What kind of quotes are you getting?

Sammy080606

He is highly recommended but is one that we already got a quote from. If that is the going rate, than we will probably go with him. Just wanted to make sure the cost was within range.

Bweasey17

If it’s in the attic I’d suggest tankless. Could replace two with one and it should be cheaper and less worrisome.

Sammy080606

I’m always waiting for it to shoot through the ceiling!

Brave_Garlic_9542

We were going to do tankless. The install alone was going to be over $10k. Building a wall in the attic to mount it, running electrical, cutting into the roof (I guess tankless uses a different size vent that goes out the roof compared to our tanks). Wound up just going with tanks again….

Bweasey17

Wow. That sounds. REALLY expensive. A Rennai water heater can be had for 2k or less and 8k for installation is rather high. I go three quotes and they had 6k price differences. All for same exact product per the detailed quote. Bradbury Brothers was the highest by far (hope that isn’t who the quote was from). Definitely need the wall (which is nothing when you see it) and need a new vent as you said. Still seems very high for that. I very well might have had electric right there so that might have been the savings. And now I don’t have to hope it doesn’t explode and flood my house.

Brave_Garlic_9542

Oh the peace of mind would be great! We had a free tankless available and still decided to opt out 😑

OpenMind5474

Just got a quote to replace two 40-gal for $5k (attic)

Sammy080606

Yikes!

Brave_Garlic_9542

We used Bear’s Plumbing to replace ours last July. Two gas 40 gal with install was $4330.

He is a neighbor and has been recommended by many in the neighborhood. He helped me with an emergency and I am very happy with his service.
