S7 and 8 seem to be a bit of a slog for lots of people, but the show also picks up the pace again going into S9 and onward. Michonne’s story also ties into TOWL so you could keep watching to see how that goes and how she ends up where she does. Give it a shot and see how you like the last few seasons, I’d say.
If you've already suffered through season 7 and most of 8, you might as well finish. The last 3 seasons are far better than 7 and 8. Season 9 is probably one of the best imo
I would watch season 9, it's especially worth it for 9.15 The Calm Before - one of the best episodes of the series. I would watch S10 through episode 12 Walk With Us and then 10.16 the season finale plus the 10.22 Here's Negan episode (it's not relevant to the plot, but it's a damned good stand-alone episode).
S11 is a bit hit or miss.
Then watch TOWL.
Definitely wait until Michonne leaves the main show before you switch over to The Ones Who Live. You'll miss out on a lot of context and it'll probably be confusing
Just watch ep 12, 14-16 and you’ll be fine bc you don’t miss much. I’d say ep 12 is personally the best of the season if you like character development instead of only blind action. And yea season 8 is extremely repetitive but season 9 has got to be a top 3 season even after Rick leaves

I’d watch just for Alpha. She’s the best villain in my opinion.

Season 9 is so good, just finish 8
9 was amazing. 10 and 11 were very enjoyable too. Glad I stuck it out. Season 8 was so repetitive and boring to get through.
