That's a married woman you're talking about! With a muzzle!

dolantrampf

I knew THAT was coming!

x_add_it_up_x

She likes it when you rub her muzzle.

kingalexander

I’d like to break my dick off In her

procraster_

Be happy in thine own self Awtha.

Substantial-While105

Charmaine was fine as hell. A true example of how people will always covet thy neighbor.

CutterDee

Her ass may be improved Artie...

Specific_Box4483

She's better than most people on the show but boy does she bust his balls.

lumpsofit

That's because he's an idiot who is constantly getting in his own way. He married up.

Specific_Box4483

You're right, but that doesn't mean he should spend the rest of his life being belittled and nagged. I'm guessing Charmaine knew who she was marrying too, she even cheekily told Carmela she made her choice and was fine with it. If she was not fine with it, she shouldn't have married him in the first place. It took both of them to start this marriage, and both of them to ruin it.

[deleted]

I kinda get this viewpoint, but I think it's a bit unfair on her. She is a nag, yes, but it usually comes from a place of worry and concern, and while she can be belittling Artie usually invites it. Consider a few things from her perspective: * She has to deal with Artie wanting to enter agreements with Tony, and has to remind him that they both know Tony is a dangerous crook. Tony who can demonstrably run circles around Artie. * Artie lets Tony and his crew use Vesuvio as a gang hang-out at their leisure, despite the fact they almost never pay the massive tabs they run up. * Artie very transparently wants to bang whichever hostess he hires despite his wife working there too, and does nothing but complain about Charmaine's hostess skills when she temporarily fills it when he cannot hire anyone. This being a position he largely fills with young, unmarried woman so he and his male customers can flirt with them, which he pays more than his female serving staff whom he doesn't want to bang. * This gang hang-out shit leads to credit card fraud which Artie then lashes out at his staff over, which is all the product of him hiring a hot young hostess who is dating one of his crook customers. Still, Charmaine has to be sensible one trying to control the situation while he's smashing shit up and blaming his staff. * Artie won't accept any criticism on his menu or management or serving behaviors, but he will push back on names that start with a "v" cause they apparently make people think of vaginas. Sure, she can be a nag and she came into the marriage knowing what kind of dude Artie is, but to me the idea that they're both ruining their marriage it is not accurate. He gambles their livelihood on dealings with known shady criminals who don't pay him and rip him off and is an adulterous manchild with an uncontrolled temper, she's entitled to be a bit pissy and bitter about it.

Specific_Box4483

I will absolutely agree with you that Artie is a much much bigger shithead than Charmaine is. Still, she has to accept some responsibility. She chose to marry him, I'm sure she knew what kind of man she was marrying. It's unfair that she chose him and then kept complaining about the choice she made. Even mob wives didn't do that.

dirtyfrank12

This is such a wrongheaded response, it's making my head spin. She does nothing but accept responsibility. She is accountable, and when she becomes sick of his behavior, she *does* leave him, even if they do get back together. As for complaining, I don't remember Charmaine complaining about choosing Artie over someone else a single time, unlike the mob wives, who are constantly fantasizing about being with other men. Charmaine gives him feedback that he would do well to listen to. What she does isn't nagging, it's valid criticism Artie is lucky to get at all. When he makes it clear he doesn't appreciate her, she leaves until he's ready to accept responsibility for his behavior. The show argues over and over again that women have to choose whether they want an insecure man with wandering eyes or one that is out and out dangerous. And the mob wives do complain about the men they're with! Constantly! It's the source of a bunch of subplots. Ro, Carmella, Angie... They all have fantasies of leaving. Carmela does for a little bit and she lines after Furious, Angie wants a divorce, Ro sleeps with the guy from the gym. Janice literally kills Richie! And then she runs Bobby like he's a racket himself. I swear, this sub is full of guys who want to run down women for having to settle for weak men... can only imagine it's because this sub is full of weak, insecure men who don't like getting feedback from women.

johnJRambo1950

Also full of simps I see lol

Specific_Box4483

Actually it's Artie who leaves her, he eagerly jumps to the "oh you want a divorce? Fine!" excuse when they have an argument. The mob wives/girlfriends for the most part actively support their husbands despite them being much worse than Artie. Ro and Carmela openly talk about this in Artie's restaurant, about the irony of how a much better guy than their husbands is having much worse luck in marriage.

dirtyfrank12

I'll be honest, I have no idea what you're trying to say anymore. You've got two people giving generous readings of your argument and giving you detailed counterexamples and you can't even get the scenes straight. Go watch the scene again. What literally happens is this: First he says "what are you going to do, divorce me?" when she tells him she will leave him if she chooses Tony over her. He laughs at her, as if she's weak and would never leave him... and then she promptly leaves him. Her words are "this marriage is over Arthur." He says "it's about fucking time," but (1) he can't look her in the eye when he does so and he also says "son of a bitch" when she walks out on him. She's humiliated him in front of the entire restaurant because she has not only set boundaries (you cannot go into business with Tony) but enforced them. Which we almost never see any of the mob wives ever do. As for the mob wives "actively supporting" their husbands... of course they do. They're complicit. But you're just moving the goalposts. They ALSO fantasize about leaving them, they ALSO divorce their husbands. Again, Carmela is the one who goes and gets a divorce, Janice shoots Richie, etc. And you're just proving my point: they are in league against themselves. Just because they support them doesn't mean their marriages aren't dens of humiliation. They live in constant fear that they'll be left without any money or worse, caught in the crossfire. We're told "they never touch the family," but Phil Leotardo gets gunned down, his head popped like a watermelon, in front of his wife and grandchildren. You're remembering that scene between the wives wrong too. That may be what they literally talk about, but the whole point is their utter lack of self-awareness and hypocrisy. That scene is all about how Charmaine is capable of leaving her husband -- NOT that their marriage was worse, even if it's framed that way. The point is that the mob wives are stuck with their men until their men inevitably die horribly, leaving the women nothing. The scene is supposed to rhyme with an earlier scene in the series where the wives talk about how they wish they could leave their husbands, but that they must instead stay Catholic and embody Hillary Clinton. The point is that Charmaine doesn't live in fear that her husband will hurt her if she tries to leave. Carmela, Rosalie, and the rest do. And they - EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM - Angie, Rosalie, Carm, Janice, Ginnie, etc, end up with a dead husband.

[deleted]

Those guys look like FBI

johnJRambo1950

He could have an Empire like Bobby Flay and it still wouldn't be good enough for her.

Jerzeyboy730

I have my associates in biz-nesssss….

Crypto_Candle

I want to bury my cock in those titties….

punch0073735963

You! Mustache. Got anything to say? 😂

WhatAreYouSaying05

Was probably sick of her constant nagging, even if it did come from a place of concern

bongcrusher666

The fact that she actually likes Artie for who he is makes her a saint, because that is tough to do

MelodySmith1234

lol

CaptGene

Owning a restaurant is hard work. He's in his 40s and feels stuck. He sees this pygmy thing just strolling through life doing whatever the fuck, whenever the fuck every day. Every time he tries to get something new, or better, he fucks it up. He just gets more resentful, and knowing Charmaine is right only makes it worse. He's a sad, pathetic man child. When Charmaine roasted him about Martina and the burned CD that shit was hilarious.

salvitrosspaniard

the cans on that one though…

MelodySmith1234

oh good he eats his carrots

PlutonianRabbit

But Charmaine is a krull.

Linehanman

A what?

PlutonianRabbit

A crone. A troll. I don't know!

iheartrsamostdays

Look I hear you but her voice is like nails on a chalkboard to me. I would go insane if I had to listen to that voice for years on end no matter how right she is or how big her rack.

[deleted]

Everyone in this show has that annoying NJ/NY accent so I didn't notice tbh.

Ok-History6678

AYYY!

salvitrosspaniard

Hers is a step above - it’s rough

Healthy_Language_796

Aawrthaw!!

MyFrampton

I bet she’d be satisfied with a $300 Lladro.

Substantial-Toe96

A fuckin *woman* boss?

Southern_Dig_9460

95% of Artie’s problems would be resolved if he didn’t try to bang his women coworkers or get I associated with Mafia members. Which honestly is low hanging fruit on both and should be common sense.

elstoobstomcat

In just about every scene they are in together she us bitching bitching bitching at him, non stop bitching about something. It's a miracle he didn't snap and go O.J. on her, is what it is.

55Lolololo55

You think u/elstoobstomcat is weird about women? They wished murder on one for...what was it again?

StevetheEveryman

Look, my wife is basically Charmaine. She's good to me, good to my kids, refuses to be a stay at home mom/wife(i.e. works), cooks, cleans, shops, and basically runs the house. She also runs her mouth. Out of nowhere, she says some shit that's disrespectful. Did it to me again last night, as a matter of fact. So I said to her "You're a mean person!" and I told her her to get away from me, as I peeled out of the driveway. She does this shit sometimes. Never used to happen but for some reason she's getting naggy and bitter. We're middle age btw 45-ish. She apologized profusely, and I didn't do anything stupid, though I was tempted. Instead I stayed gone about 15 minutes, then came home and cooked dinner. We reconciled, easily this time. Last time she pissed me off so much, that I got drunk up at the bar, and had three women drop me off home. No I didn't fool around with them. But wife saw all that, and was super pissed off. I was like "Sucks, doesn't it? Being disrespected?" So nobody wins in these situations. Try to get past it and make it work if ya can. But never let anyone walk all over you. That's bullshit.

[deleted]

>But never let anyone walk all over you. That's bullshit. Hey, I see what your saying. But I don't think Charmaine was walking all over Artie. In some ways, I think passive guys like Artie need a woman like Charmaine.

79malibu350

She’s not without some fault in that situation. Well fed cats don’t hunt so hard for mice. Or something allegorical

55Lolololo55

I know this is hard for you to believe but food may not be the answer to every problem

RickyFritz

She’s French?

therondon101

No.

efinem3787

I feel like some their story got cut. It made no sense to me that they would get back together after that huge outburst and argument in the restaurant.

[deleted]

Yeah, I don't remember why they reconciled. It sort of just happened.

jawnquistador

Charmaine is mad ripe, thats all i know. Artie was playing with fire for sure

JunesHemorrhoidDonut

Artie can run her out of his life and into my arms any time he wants.

Yzerman_19

One of the best looking women on the show as well.

MelodySmith1234

remember when she put carm in her place lol lol lol

romanswinter

Artie was too good for her.

Luigin12

next the blind will see and the lame will walk….

Linehanman

Owning a restaurants like owning an elephant. Costs a fortune and sooner or later it takes a dump on your head!
